Swiss-Belhotel Sorong is the first 4 star international hotel in the chartered coastal city of Sorong, the eastern Indonesian province of West Papua. It’s a gateway to Indonesia's Raja Ampat Islands. The hotel is strategically located in the heart of the city, and only 10 minutes drive from Domine Edward Osok Airport and the Port of Sorong, allowing easy access to central business and the government

Good standard, but relatively small rooms, located in half way from airport to Jetty- which makes it convenient for travelers. Small swimming pool. Massage on request in the room. Buffet breakfast and dinner.
Nice hotel but not good location. Good for stop just one night. Hotel near ferry port and airport. Breakfast was lot of choices. Room was clean and comfy. Dinner at restaurant was good and reasonable price.
Will stay here again next time
Stayed here recently as a jumpang off point for our trip to Raja Ampat. Our room was comfortable enough but the housekeeping staff need a refresher course i believe. No spare toilet paper provided and minimal toiletries. We were only given a breakfast voucher for...More

From our experience, if you want comfort a taxi is 100,000 IDR and that was for everyone + luggage. If you are prepared to rough it, walk down to the yellow buses and the cost of travel is a lot less, but they charge per person and probably for luggage, but you may be able to haggle. Go to an ATM and make a withdrawal in IDR, that's what the locals expect you to pay with. USD, GBP Euro does not mean that much out there. We did not tip the taxi as we thought they were expensive, but maybe should have.
