Its a very beautiful resort spread over several acres facing the sea at its end. A great place to relax with family in the lap of the ocean.
The breakfast offered is too good and the staff is undeniably polite and well trained. The rooms have a nice ethnic touch to them and are well kept facing the beautiful pool of the resort. There are number of shops also for shopping purposes which offer unique artifacts though expensive. The boat ride is also available at reasonable costs and suitable timings. Overall a great experience. A must must try.

The Aveda Park Regis is a well located property with lush grounds and a lovely, Long pool winding through and accessible by all the bungalows located right around it. Rooms are comfortable but small with good size bathrooms with regular and rainforest “open air” showers that are open to outdoors so no air conditioning in bath! Powerful ceiling fan though which makes it ok but still hot and muggy at times. The staff especially Sreerenjit at restaurant have been very gracious and helpful. Always smiling and ready to respond. Have had 2 memorable meals. Breakfast buffet is vast, varied and plentiful.

An amazing experience with very caring & accommodating staff. Our group consisted of kids, adults as well as senior citizens & all of us enjoyed thoroughly. I was asked to eat bland & soft food & the staff catered to my requests to the extend that when I ordered for someone else, they reminded me & were genuinely concerned that I don't eat it.

We selected 2 Pool Side premium cottages which were across the swimming pool making it extremely easy for a dip & change. I enjoyed the open bath area giving the room a very rustic feel. Evening boat rides gave us exactly what we were looking for which is the back waters. The evening tea & snacks spread just before the boat rides also are very thoughtful, which I haven't come across at other hotels.

Breakfast buffets are excellent with a great spread giving you your pick of south indian, continental or north indian. Besides that, the menu is so versatile that we managed to order entirely differently for all our meals of 3 days.

I'm glad I chose this resort & would eyes closed recommend it which gave us such beautiful memories of the most important items on my bucket list.

The property is located on the longest lake in India and it's sights and sounds are absolutely breathtaking. The staff and management was extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the time we stepped onto the property. Check-in was breeze and since we visited in the off season, we were very graciously upgraded to the Lake Front Villa, which comes with its own private pool (small, but functional) and a verandah that opens up to the lake. The room was beautifully appointed, indeed the entire property was done up quite handsomely.

The long common pool flanked by small villas and coconut trees made for a picturesque backdrop for the quintessential vacation photo. At one end of the pool is the open air restaurant which serves multicuisine and local fare, but as we were in Kerala, the land of flavors, we didn't eat anything except the local food. Breakfast generally is a humdrum affair in most hotels and resorts, but here it fitted the 'perfect start to the day' bill to the T. A wide, freshly prepared spread we just couldn't get enough of. And the local Malabari dishes we had in lunch and dinner were downright delectable. Whatever you do, please please please have the local food at this place and thank me later. The restaurant also hosted dance performances and live music by local artists alternatively every night, so that was an added bonus. A special shout-out to Mr. Suraj for going out of his way to make us feel a part of the Park Regis family!

We took a few massage sessions at the property and hands down these were some of the best massages we've ever had. My Shirodhara session nearly put me into a blissful slumber. A bit on the expensive side but highly recommended.

The property also has a gift shop and provides sightseeing and transportation services which we made ample use of. The lobby showcases paintings by local artists which you can purchase. An hour long boat is included in the package as complimentary.

Probably the only downside to our trip were the unwanted companions we had in our room; namely lizards, mosquitos and other sundry critters, although this was more because of the time of year rather than the properties fault (we visited during monsoon). Apart from this little snag, we had an extremely relaxing and blissful experience. An affair to remember.

Great Vacation with Family !

The property is located on the edge of the Lake with the Villas almost on the water front and giving the best view of the back waters. The also have beautiful cottages facing the 150-metre gigantic pool! Great service overall, whether at the reception or at dining. Comfortable and very clean rooms. A half hour traditional dancing and music entertainment is offered during dining. Also they offered a one hour boat tour on the backwaters to observe the sunset. They are fully Covid protocol compliant right from the check-in, the guest luggage’s are sanitized before being shifted to the rooms. Hand Sanitizers are provided at all Public places, the guest rooms are thoroughly sanitized before the guest check-in. They also provide hand sanitizers in the guest rooms. All these made us feel more safe and comfortable during our stay at Aveda Kumarakom.

Overall a very enjoyable stay and would like to come back again !

This was our first visit to India/ Kerala with friends, and it was a beautiful hotel to stay in. We were upgraded to river view rooms with lovely views of the sunsets and passing boats. The staff were very friendly and helped us with our food choices. The chefs even gave us a cooking lesson. The food was amazing, excellent chefs. We didn’t do a lot of sightseeing, we went for a relaxing break and loved the huge pool and the spa/massage rooms available at an extra cost. We would go again and will be a bit more adventurous next time.

Rhythm kumarakom was the right choice we made to spend our 1st wedding anniversary. It’s a fantastic property by the vembanad lake, with the longest pool we have ever seen, at the center of the property with direct villa access into pool on either side. The rooms are spotless, with all the amenities needed, including the washroom with an added open bath facility maintaining privacy. Rhythm kumarakom is an excellent destination to spend time with friends or family or even alone or from a busy schedule, as it’s a very calm and beautiful place to relax. The food is worth mentioning as each and every meal was freshly prepared and extremely delicious. The staff maintaining the property must be appreciated, as each one of them are very much dedicated to their service. Speedy service of staff is something to be mentioned. The pool being so large is well maintained. The free houseboat ride in the vembanad lake was refreshing. The only drawback we felt is that the food being extremely delicious but a bit overpriced. Did not try the spa as we felt it was a bit expensive. We had a great time at Rhythm Kumarakom.
We would rate 9/10

We stayed for 2 nights just to experience the lushness of the Kumarakom area. It is a very small village, whose claim to fame is perhaps these luxury resorts situated on lake Vembanad, in the backwaters of Kerala.
Mostly we found it a relaxing experience, enjoyed every bit of the complimentary lake cruise in the evening and the dinner musical treat. One day it was a dance recital and another day a musical interlude.
Breakfast was really good, catering to North Indian, South Indian and continental palates. It was included in the price. Lunch and dinner were a la carte. We tried the Malabari cuisine.
It was great to relax in the swimming pool. Did not try the spa or massage. Perhaps, next time.
However a few negatives regarding the room which we stayed in:
1. The sliding window doors had no handles.
2. Lack of luggage tables to put our luggage on.
3. Safe Box was not bolted in. Someone could just walk off with it.
4. AC could have been more effective.
5. In room Wi-fi was dicey.

Maybe the cottages were better.

Nevertheless on the whole, found the staff attentive and helpful with a smooth check in process.

We visited Aveda resort, now called Rythmn, Kumarakom in June. We were struck with the beauty of the property. We were quickly checked into the rooms that were spacious and beautiful with huge open ceiling bathrooms. The swimming pool was temperature controlled and refreshing. The hospitality of each staff was commendable! They even took on to sterilize my baby's bottles when I was worried how I would sterilize bottles on a vacation! Buffet breakfast had good options and their a la carte items were very tasty.
I must comment on how quickly they handled first aid situation when my nephew fell and hurt his leg. The staff took the situation in control immediately.
We would really recommend this property for an awesome getaway and a relaxing vacation.
We also thank Jyotish, the General Manager, who made sure this stay was comfortable.
Happy Vacationing all! 😊

A perfect boutique resort to take a cool break from the daily hustle of life. Beautifully maintained property with nice view cottages facing the mighty infinity pool which was one of the largest we had ever seen.

Staff is always attentive and available for service and help at all times. No requests were ever turned away. Can’t pinpoint one person's name as everyone was equally keen to provide customer delight. Overall excellent review of the traditional cottages in Kerala Style with well maintained, clean partially open to sky bath-rooms designed the bring people closer to nature.

Kumarakom is a quiet and peaceful village like place. No pubs or bars there. You can probably stay here for 4-5 days and then explore cochin/ ernakulam which are metropolitan cities and full of restaurants and bars. These are a 2 hours drive away from kumarakom.
