The hotel is cheap, dirty, musky and the lobby personnel was sleeping on duty. there were cat feces, the pool is dirty. the food is okay and a bit expensive. We were able to haggle but still our stay was not worth it.

We stayed at islandia hotel for a night. Called the front desk hours before and told me that a certain room is not available and when we went there, 5 rooms are still vacant. Room is average. Bathroom not that clean with visible molds on the tiles. Pool looks dirty and is open to day tour so expect it to be crowded during day time. Bar is ok. Since we were the only guest at the bar for a certain time, the service is excellent. Staff at the restaurant is also good. Refilling our drinks when they see that it is nearly empty without us asking. Lady at the front desk gave us the wrong bill upon check out. Will stay here just for a night to rest after the hundred islands tour but not recommended for a 2 night stay.

Islandia is about a five minute walk from the centre of Alaminos and a few km's from Lucap Wharf if you wish to visit the Hundred Islands. We stayed in a standard room in the building which houses the reception. It was of reasonable standard and had a balcony although the view isn't great. The hotel has a nice sized swimming pool but it doesn't look very pleasant as the water is murky.

Overall Islandia is OK I suppose for just the night as it doesn't really offer good value. Other accommodation is available in Lucap Wharf but properties there look dilapidated. Bolinao would be a better option to stay in my opinion for visiting the Hundred Islands so long as you don't mind travelling. It's about an hour by bus.

My friends and I went here for an overnight stay. Good thing that we only spent one night! Why? Okay I'll tell you about our experience so it won't happen to anyone again. First, when we went to our room, the aircondition is not working. And it is late in the afternoon already. It is soo hot and we're all tired. Just imagine that. Also, the television does not even have a remote control. You have to go to the tv to change the channel. Ugh! Their bathroom has a dead cockroach! I can't even. So I asked the girl in the lobby if we can change our room. Luckily, we were able to transfer to a different room. However, when we get there, the light is not working. It's like you have to wait for minutes before it works! Gosh! Second, the place is not that big. Its actually crowded. I don't think its perfect for a family outing. Although it has a pool, the pool is not nice. It looks dirty and old. Their parking space is so small that you even have to double park. Unlucky for you if you parked behind a vehicle because when it gets out, you have to get your car out also! And it happened to me like twice. I am about to take a rest when the girl told me to get my car out of the parking. So stressful! Third, the thing that I hated most about this hotel is their breakfast. We all know that most of the time, guests are always looking forward to breakfast. When we got into their so called "restaurant" (when it doesn't look like one), the waiter told us that it is a "buffet breakfast." So we were all excited! But then again, when we saw it, the food is almost gone. We asked the waiter if they are still going to put more foods, they told us that there is no more food and it is the only thing left to eat. We were 4 then but the food that was left for us is good for about 2 persons only. So we just shared. Plus!! The thermos where their coffee is placed is not working! Like you have to stir it with a spoon so that the coffee will come out from the thermos. Hayyy. It is really disappointing!! I expected too much but it didn't meet my expectations! If I were to ask, I'm not going back to this place again. Never. Such a bad experience for all of us!

The staff were very welcoming and the service were fast and accommodating. They cleaned the room everyday. The food was scrumptous at the restaurant. The area was quiet but close enough to nearby stores.

Had to CANCEL my stay because of the following reasons:

1. I called to ask a response from the e-mail (3 emails) I sent which merely asks for a confirmation of my booking through another travel site. Was told that they don't need to confirm. Talk about being RUDE. and was really unhelpful.

2. They don't accept early check-ins and you will be charged 100/hr until their cutoff.

(Note: I have already paid for 2 rooms in FULL and had to cancel, will be looking for a hotel with better service)

I had a speaking engagement at the Great Plebian College and we checked in at Islandia, after checking out TripAdvisor for reviews and recommendations. I concur with other reviewers that Islandia is a short walk away from the plaza (which had already been festooned with banners since the City fiesta is just weeks away). There are three building and the rooms are numbered starting with their position from the front. The first building starts with "1" the second "2" and the one at the back "3". I thought I would be on the third floor which would have been a nightmare since there are no elevators and I have shot knees. Thankfully, 305 was on the second floor.

There is a pool (which was clean and inviting) but knowing most pools are standing water types, i did not succumb to the temptation. I woke up early in the morning before 5 am. Since it was still dark out, the pathway from the front to the back was sufficiently lit to enable me to walk some distance to and fro until light came and I walked to the City plaza - about 5-8 minutes.

The stay comes with complementary breakfast (which was good although on the stingy portion side). However, I tried working the night before but gave up because of slow internet connection and mosquito biters. I should have brought a mosquito net instead of internet gadgets - a mobile wi-fi.

There are TV sets in each room, but do not expect to have plenty channels to choose from. The bath room is clean and stacked, but it's still better to bring you own brand of soap and shampoo.
