As a party of 5, we stayed in Peacock house for nearly two weeks in May. Peacock house is surrounded by lovely flowers and trees. Besides the nice design of the house (wood, open) it was really convenient: on the upper floor there are 2 rooms with queen beds and AC and 1 large bed on the deck, and on the ground floor 1 open kitchen and a super large sofa were you can chill. 1 bathroom (shower) with toilets and some separate toilets. But I might stay that we hung out most of the time on our terrace in the hamac and benches. Eventually there is an outside shower (hidden). During our stay the house was regularly cleaned and water dispenser renewed (little charge after the 1st one is emptied)so we could fill in our water bottles. Ahead of our stay, we had so many questions that the owner kindly replied to. During our stay, Dalvina kept on filling us up with tips and nice recommendations (surf instructor, restaurant, things to do, ...) Pick up from the airport was arranged. Laundry service offered on site is good taking from 1 to 2 days and gentle for the clothes. The spa offers massages that were amazing, including some with home made aloe Vera gel, that saved our sun burnt skins. Unfortunately, the people in charge of the restaurant were on leave (the owner provides them with the spot but does not manage it), so we could not taste it.
Emerald house is located a little bit outside of General Luna but not too far away (you can easily find a ride into town (or be helped by the nice staff from EH. Hence, it’s quiet and really close (walking distance) to nice places (shaka, ...) to have breakfast and great surf spots (Cloud 9, Quicksilver, Tuason).
We would definitely come back and stay at Emerald House again!

After a few days surfing I treated myself to full body massage by Miss Grace at Emerald. It was just perfect, I think she really reads your body and muscles and knots accurately, and works them so intuitively so as to push but not to the point of excess. So so so good.

Nice spacious self catering apartments in a lovely green setting , only a short walk from cloud 9 . Few maintenance issues in the apartment in water leaking from base of the toilet. Air con was good but in need of a service , as was dripping a bucket full of water during the nighttime’s .

Emerald House Village is amazing, we stayed there 2 weeks and had a fantastic time. Dalvina and all the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Nothing was ever an issue. We were made very welcome, Emerald village is like staying with a group of old friends. Each house has its own privacy with gorgeous gardens surrounding them, well stocked kitchens and a lovely atmosphere. Fantastic location very close to cloud 9 and not far from great restaurants nearby. We can not wait to return.

Amazing place! We were one month at Emerald. Good location, so delicious food at their restaurant, and really helpful staff. Also the owner Dalvina was always helping with everything you need. The whole area was beautiful and green, and not noisy at night. I recommend so much this place :)

We always get our massages in the Emerald House massage room. Our favourites are - Merlin and Arlene. It is airconditioned but not too cold, has a separate room and appropriate massage beds, smells great, relaxing music and we can even choose the oils. The price of P600 is also fair and worth it. Highly recommended to have a massage here during your Siargao vacation!

We were 5 girls traveling in one of the most beautiful places in the world for holiday. The owner of the Emerald house on the first day was very polite and kind.On the second day the cockroaches started to appear .We didn't complain ,tryed to deal with it ourselves. We would see 2-3 cockroaches per night. The forth day we saw a mouse in the house. At the point we mentioned that to the owner and she replied that it is normal and she has mice in her house as well. We asked around and understand that other houses on the island do not have the same issues so maybe that's not so normal. On the sixth day we left 3 bikinis in the bathroom ,by the time we came back we found them eaten by mice! And the story gets worse ,one of my friends didn't notice that and wore the bikini only later to realise that it had been eaten by a mouse on the sensitive area! We panicked as you can get a deadly disease from mice. Of course we got scared and went to speak to the owner ,she dismissed us very rudly saying we need to take it to the manager as she has to go surfing ,she just lit up a cigarette turned her back to us and left. That was the first time in my life that I see a professional behaving like that. The manager was more willing to help us. He told us that they will spray and put mice traps and that happened . They put onions in every room of the house with rat poison on. The sight and smell of that was repulsive.We asked refund for our destroyed clothes ,which we got after a lot of pressure . They offered us the option to change house but in the middle of our holiday and in a place as crowded as Siargao was not easy to find a house for 5 people so we stayed. After that every day that we would meet the owner she would pretend that she does not see us ,and on point avoiding us showing full lack of respect. Unfortunately regardless the rat poison and the onions the mice problem did not go away. We found one more in the wardrobe which was broken and would not close properly. The mice ate two more bikinis and underwear. That was a very disgusting and scary experience for all of us.When I mentioned that to the manager he came and ducktaped the wardrobe door ! Complete lack of professionalism. He agreed to refund us for the further damage that was done to our clothes but that never happened. Untill the last day we stayed in that house we were forced to keep all our belongings locked in the suitcases as if we were camping from fear of having more of our personal items destroyed or eaten by mice. That was a very unpleasant experience for all of us. Furthermore all the fans and many of the furniture were full of rust which destroyed even more of our clothes. Nevertheless the substantial damage of our belongings the thing that hurt us the most was the cold and rude behavior of the owner. These kind of people shouldn't be working in the tourism business. I regret my stay in that place and strongly urge the potential guests of the emerald house to think about that twice.

I stayed here with two other friends for three nights and could not have been happier with choosing Emerald House. The proximity to cloud nine, coral reefs, scooter rentals, and by far the best food I experienced in the Philippines was priceless.
The staff are all very welcoming and friendly, and the residence is well equiped and very clean. Our residence, the Peacock lodge, had a large patio with a variety of very comfortable seating that was perfect for relaxing during the hottest hours of the day. Every lodge has an indoor and outdoor shower which is perfect for rinsing off watersports gear without bringing sand and dirt inside. Emerald house appeared the most spacious and private place to stay at as it was the only walled off property that could not be easily viewed while walking on the beach or down the roads.
There is a restuarant/bar thirty feet from each residence that is open at 7:30 A.M. every morning. The coffee and breakfast plates are among the better options but honestly everything is amazing.
The location is at most a five minute walk from Cloud 9, a three minute walk from scooter rentals, surfboard rentals, and a variety of fantastic restaurants.
The only negative thing about our stay was that the very well behaved and clean small dogs that are taken care of on the property did not want to play with me as much as I wanted to play with them. I should mention they never barked once, never begged for food, and never jumped on us or licked us.

My friends and I stayed in the Peacock House for a month and I couldn't have been happier. I highly recommend staying here, however long your stay may be. The Peacock house was something out of a dream. A/C in 2 of the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, waterfall shower, outdoor shower, and the entire house had sliding doors so you could open them all up and air the house out not to mention the top floor was completely open, like a balcony almost, besides 2 bedrooms. The restaurant is also fabulous, very conveniently located about 40 feet from the house. The girls that work at the restaurant are a true delight. Very happy girls with bright smiles that just warm your heart. Luke, the manager, was a really great guy always trying to help you out, give you advise and have a great time. The area has security too which was quite a luxury and always helped me sleep better especially with how open the house is.
The best part of all, the resort is located just across the street from Cloud 9. A 2 minute walk down the street and you were at the boardwalk, beach and outstanding surf spot. There are lots of places to rent surfboards and paddle boards just off the boardwalk, very convenient.

2nd time in Emerald. Top Place in a eco green contest. The wood apartment was very cozy and big with a good kitchen and comfortable bed room. Very Good quality place. Clean and peaceful. The annexed restaurant mix French and Filippino tastes for their high quality meals. Stuff friendly and helpful as well. Definitely the place to be in Cloud 9!
