Went here with my husband, MIL, and 3 kids. We super enjoyed our stay here - Our cabana is big and has complete amenities, the food is good at Isla Cusina, the resort is big so my kids enjoyed running around and they enjoyed swimming in the pool. Isla Cabana has two pools so it didn’t get crowded. The entire resort was new landscaped and we definitely felt we were in a paradise. I already expected the slow wifi internet because of the other reviews so I just used my phone’s data. I almost didn’t book this resort because of the negative reviews here but good thing I listened to my friend’s rating (she rated this resort 5/5) over the reviews here in tripadvisor. I actually didn’t understand the negative reviews because we really had a great time at Isla Cabana, I can say that it’s kid-friendly too. If we’re going to go back in Siargao, we will definitely stay here again!

I have been waiting for a refund for over 4 weeks now. I was a bit sceptical of paying via bank transfer/PayPal as you are less protected when you need to cancel... My initials emails were ignored and only received a response when I threaten with a review which is a shame. I have emailed them on a weekly basis and am always told it is being processed - only to have the same conversation a week later. Very poor as I require the money...I hope they don't keep my money! Don't trust them - rather book somewhere else or via a trusted booking operator e.g. booking.com

Nice, beautiful, and quiet place with great customer service. The restaurant is situated in front of the infinity pool with a view of the sea, we really enjoyed having such a nice view during meals. The beachfront room was clean and just plain awesome. It’s nice to see Siargao recover from the typhoon.

I've been to resorts throughout the Philippines and this one is memorable simply for the wrong reasons. The room is fair at best but there are just too many things I can't let go. 1. Wooden flooring is warped to the point it is a hazard. 2. I think they use solar as a means to heat water, so when there is no sun, there is also no hot water. 3. Lastly, when I was sleeping and was wakened because there was something crawling on my neck. I swatted it and saw it was a cockroach. BTW, cockroach number 1 had another dead friend near our bathroom. These three things I simply couldn't get over with. I simply expect more from a resort as there are solutions for all these problems. Don't get me wrong, the location is in the thick of things in SIargao. Breakfast was generous. The resot was well landscaped. I can understand bad internet because the whole island has that same problem. Overall, if you ask me, I am not going back.

Isla Cusina (Isla Cabana Resort) My friends and I were trying to book a dinner online since in Siargao it is either your call or book an appointment basis. Due to high volume of clients we had a very hard time communicating. We decided to walk around and search our luck to fill our tummies. We came across Isla Cusina. It was an tropical style restaurant just beside Isla Cabana Resort. Nice to know, it was their newest restaurant. We entered and asked if they do accept walk-in customers. They said they have tables for us. My heart stopped at the moment because it was the moment i have been waiting! Hahaha Moving on, we had ordered Appetizers ✅ Nachos ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✅ Tuna Tataki ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Flavorful with a touch of Spice ❤️ Salad ✅ Greek Salad ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Main Course ✅ Nasi Goreng with Satay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✅ Chicken Kebab ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✅ Pan-Seared Salmon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Noodles ✅ Seafood Udon ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fruit and Veggie Smoothies ✅ Triple Berry Blend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✅ Strawberry Banana ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fresh Fruit Shakes ✅ Ripe Mango ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was a delightful dinner. We had consumed everything because of being famished and ofcourse the food is really great. We are blessed to experience a newly opened restaurant with good service too. Kudos Isla Cusina! Another Marajaw Karajaw, ISLA CUSINA SIARGAO!

Would have been one of the most beautiful resorts in siargao but they make bad excuses about their useless wifi. They say that their wifi is bed due to unstable internet and weather in the island but other resorts like Bravo and Lamari have one of the fastest wifis. I don’t think they understand that expensive resorts need wifi. It’s definitely a deal breaker especially when you’re planning your trip. Googling restaurants or working from the beach. Oh BTW LTE is also bad. (But of course that’s not their fault) knowing tho that LTE is bad and not having wifi to supplement that is their fault. Never staying in this resort again!

This resort is very beautiful not only in pictures but also in reality. The beds are comfy and clean. They sanitized all the toiletries. The room wifi though is unusable, I have to use my own. There’s a lot of options to choose from for the complimentary breakfast, they give big portions and were delicious. My friends and I enjoyed a good chat by the pool facing the ocean, under the night sky filled with stars. If there is one thing they can improve on, that’s definitely their service. We didn’t feel welcome when we came until we left, isn’t that disappointing? The staff needs training/refresher course in hospitality specially the front desk and dining personnel.

Beware the discount, it seems the hotel is now run down and seems to have been abandoned by any owners/management, and no one is responsible for anything here. We were looking forward to our week long stay but things went downhill as soon as we checked in and we decided to cut our stay short due to the appalling service. We simply had too many issues that no one seemed to be able to do anything about. - We stayed in the daku villa. Aircon was not cold, the water coming out of the tap smelled like gasoline and burned rubber, room was full of mosquitos, there was a rooster right behind our room that started at 430 and construction at 7am across the room. We did not have a single full night of sleep during our stay. We were promised a quiet room when we booked. - Breakfast was not good, and when we ordered their “shock burger” we were really shocked as they served us meat that was sinewy and tougher than a shoe. - The staff is inattentive they gave my phone number to another guest thinking it was the number to the antigen swab clinic and I was therefore contacted about swab tests by other guests, and the staff was unapologetic about it even though it was a big breach of privacy. The irony is that they referred to privacy every time we asked for the management contact information to have our issues cleared up. It’s a shame that things have gotten so bad, the location and the beach are otherwise really nice. I let the staff know that I hope to hear from the owners but it seems that they don’t care about the resort. This “luxury” resort was the low point of our trip. I feel that we should have gotten a full refund for our sleepless nights too, but it seems pointless to talk to the staff. The captain left the rats to run the ship. Truly embarrassing, stay away from this place.

We stayed in March 2020. The night we checked in was the night Covid was announced a pandemic. As travel plans unraveled, it was being at this hotel that helped us think things through because the staff was so friendly and you still can’t help but enjoy the beautiful surrounding. The beach front was amazing, breakfast by the infinity pool and a great location. We are hoping to come back to this same hotel when it is safe to travel again!
