Fantastic resort. Really enjoyed my first time on Siargao while staying here. Staff were so attentive. Accomodations were really exceptional - I stayed at one of the villas along the beach. The food at the restaurant matched anything you could find at a high end place. Highly recommend staying here.

Stopped by Isla Cantina Siargao, right in the heart of General Luna's bustling restaurant row. The ambiance and design are spot-on. However, felt the nachos lacked toppings, and the Asian pork leimpo serving was tiny, especially when factoring in the bones. The tuna Thai Curry was satisfactory. Our take-out and overall bill felt a bit steep at around Php 2,700. If you visit, grab a table facing the road - perfect during happy hour.

I stayed at the Isla Cabana Resort in General Luna for the last 4 days. The room was spectacular with a wide nice shower, an espresso machine, tea and cold water (you can refill it at the corridor..). Unfortunately there was a bad smell every time I used the shower… The resort is located by the beach at the most attractive area in General Luna where you can find a lot of restaurants, shops etc. The disadvantage of that is that you can hear the parties and the too loud bars music until midnight… if you like it or not 🤣 The air condition is strong and makes the room cold (very important at these hot days) but you should push the ON/OFF button few times until it starts or stops and since it’s a “window air conditioner” you can hear and smell what happens outside… (I especially liked the smell of chicken BBQ). Internet access was available 90% of the time and very slow 100% of the time. The team is nice and welcoming. Breakfast is decent but very basic… cappuccino is served at 100 degrees 🤣 but the Shakshuka was OK - I would expect for much more regarding the high rate for night. I asked for a late check out (2 pm instead of 12:00 o’clock…) they replied that it’s ok, the room will be available for me for 1,000 pesos per hour !!! I was shocked and ask the double check it with a manager and the next reply was that the room is not available … The bottom line : it was just OK, too pricey, over rated and I’ll definitely look for another option during my next stay..

What I loved most about Isla Cabana were its garden path full of bushes, flowers, mangroves, and trees, and our spacious, tasteful wooden cottage. Friendly staff and good food next. Then the pools and beach. Lastly, its very convenient location along the main road, with tricycles always waiting outside. The one and only downside was the loud music from a nearby club which ends at midnight. A couple of suggestions to resort management: 1) Add an extra step going down to the beach to make it easy for shorter and less fit people to get in the water; 2) Set up a foot wash area if not at each cabana, then at the start and end of the garden path so that people coming in from sandy areas will not bring sand into the cabanas. Just a clay pot with water and dipper will do.

Dirty Pools, So-so lang for it’s price. Maybe one of the “best” in the island but please lower expectations if you’ve been to similar resorts within same price range. Nothing much to offer. Though their resto offers the best food in the island

Good food and beautiful resort. Breakfast was top class and restaurant server Sheila is the best member of staff. Here’s what to watch out for - rooms. The garden side cabanas are nosiy at night due to bars nearby and they cannot do anything about that. We managed with noise cancellation head phones. Also the partying stops at about midnight. The other issue we had was the smell of smoke - again neighbors. If you can choose the cabanas by the beach side it is quieter and more private. The rooms you can tell have been around for a while (must be amazing when it was new) but it is clean and still nice. I think they can be better at arranging airport transfers - it’s either it’s private or public transport when they probs can arrange transport themselves by flight. Front desk staff could also be better - they made mistakes in booking tours and generally don’t know answers to basic touristic questions. Maybe a “concierge” type role at their front desk will improve things.

Booking a room was the first hurdle we had to overcome. They do not accept credit cards and we had to do an international transfer to book our room which can sound a bit skeptical with the banks themselves. I had to pay a 25 dollar transfer fee from my account to isla cabana’s account. I think that is something that the resort needs to fix ASAP. The Cabana we had Mam-On 1 was great but the AC unit could be cooler. The internet was bad and we had to go to the restaurant or the front desk to get decent WiFi. There were times the power would cut off but would come back on after a few minutes. Also, the noise from the night life needs to be toned down some since that could bother some people who want to relax at night. It happens I think all around those places. The water heating was great but you had to wait a few minutes for the hot water to kick in. Cleaning crew was wonderful and they do a great job of keeping the place clean as long as you tell them to. Tours are offered in the hotel and we went on most of them. They can be a bit pricey and the places you go to have little 100-150 pesos tourism fee here and there. Also, if you want surfing lessons, be ready to pay the instructor and the person shooting videos for you on your phone. The tours themselves were really great. Our family enjoyed them. The tricycle drivers were a bit sketchy with their prices. I would suggest asking how much it would cost to go somewhere before riding them. We did not have any roach problem since we asked housekeeping to clean our room every day. I would also commend the food preparation staff and servers for a wonderful breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food was amazing. We stayed there for 5 nights and had some memorable experiences in Siargao. I would recommend this place but also be aware that some of these touristy places do have some drawbacks. Overall a 4 out of 5 experience.

excellent service ! staff are all courteous and cheerful . The resort was pricey but well worth it. It felt very high end but remained true to island living. Mabel from the restaurant helped me a lot in setting up my husbands birthday dinner. Flor from reception was excellent in handling all my bookings. Rooms were spacious and clean. Amenities were top notch. will definitely be back!

The place is nice, friendly staff and they have a good breakfast variety. Beach bar was our favorite place to hangout. We only had a couple minor grievances. Cleaners accidentally threw away our personal belongings and every time there was a power brownout, which there are many in the evening in Siargao, the AC circuit breaker would trip. Despite that overall experience is positive.
