The rooms are very basic but the electric blanket keeps you warm. The food was all cooked fresh to order and really tasty. Really recommend the Naxi sandwich to take away with you - its just what you need on a long day of hiking.

Cosy, homely place with good food and accommodation. We stayed here one night while hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge. The rooms are basic but comfortable. There is no heating but there are some very warm blankets in the room. Also has electric blanket and a hair dryer that came in

This place is definitely worth a visit if you are hiking along the gorge. We just stopped here for food and it was excellent. I highly recommend the kimchi rice as it was one of the best dishes we had on our trip. The food is very good value also

From the entrance of Tiger Leaping Gorge (Qiaotou), it took us approx. 7 hours to hike here with stopping to take photos, eat, rest, etc. It is the first guesthouse you will reach after Naxi Family Guesthouse. We did not make a reservation, and when we showed up, the host had

My husband and I stayed here after a long, hard day of trekking. The glowing reviews did not correspond to the apathetic air that greeted us. Our room was adequate but the bathroom was definitely aged & the water pressure woeful. The dining hall is grubby & not at all inviting -

I believe there would be, but I don't know the number. My stay was part of a tour, so I did not arrange the booking. Everyone has mobile phones - so I expect someone associated with the guest house would have a number. Sorry but I am of no help.

I concur with the above answer. While everyone I saw at Tea Horse had a cell phone, there was no internet access or reception desk. Part of "the experience" is just showing up & asking for a room. And yes, if they were full there are other less known places to get a room. Enjoy your hike!

Hi, we didn't do any booking. You just show yourself and ask for any room available. Booking isn't necessary as usually trekkers opt to stay at Halfway Guesthouse so it will be a big chance rooms are available for you. Otherwise if you can speak Mandarin try to get local mobile phone SIM card and call them direct for reservation. Hope this helps.

Do you mean youre taking the bus to the beginning of Tiger Leaping Gorge? If so, just get off where everyone else does who looks like they are hiking, otherwise ask around, almost anyone should be able to tell you in that area as TLG is so popular. As far as hiking, I think we hiked 4-5hours before reaching Tea Horse, its the first real guest house you come to after the 28 Bends.

"Book a room on the top floor for a quieter experience."
"We had room 10 in the new section."
"If you're in for the view, go for cheaper rooms facing the mountain. For better amenities, stay on the main block."
"The first guesthouse after the 28 bends."
