Everything is fine. Clean rooms, cleaned every day. Hotel territory is neat and beautiful. There is enough food both in the morning and in the evening. For breakfast, sandwiches, boiled eggs, toast, pastries, yogurt with many different condiments. Dinner is delicious, different every day. Close to the beach with beautiful sunrises. There are many cafes and shops in the city. Breakfast 8-9.30h Dinner 19-20h "I would like a longer dinner time and an earlier breakfast"

I arrive with my wife at about 9 AM, were told we have to wait for about 2h or more for room to be ready. Not a big deal. Left to eat and got back. Upon entering the room, we noticed it had a funny smell. The century old looking AC also was not working and was not fixed even after we complained about it. When turning on the light to the bathroom, the fan started to make a loud noise. That fan hasn’t been changed in many, many years. The noise was so bad, we had to turn off the light when entering the bathroom, especially at night when you’re tired and don’t want to hear noise. Speaking of noise, every single day, there was music from a hotel nearby up until 12 AM. From that same hotel, during daytime, you could hear continuous, non-stop LOUD music. The music was the worse, filthy mainstream music you can imagine. It’s like they purposefully gathered the worst radio “hits” from present day and several years ago and played them to drive people crazy. Now, breakfast starts at 8 AM and ends at 9 AM. But when you’re forced to go to sleep at 12 AM because of the bad and continuous music being played every day, it’s safe to say you can’t wake up at 8 AM. However, we did wake up at 8 AM a few times, to see what the included breakfast is all about. The breakfast is poor, but passable. It’s important to mention that if you don’t arrive on time for breakfast, an old guy, which I assume is the owner, will tell you off. Yes, that’s right. He won’t let you go have breakfast if you’re late. One situation that shocked me was the following: Wife went for breakfast at about 8:30, I went there at 8:52. I wanted to go inside to my wife, but the old man would not let me. He said I can wait for her on the other side. I was shocked. How can an old man tell me where and if I am allowed to check on my wife? This is crazy. Later I found out that many people were actually complaining about the old guy and how early the breakfast starts and how soon it ends. Let me tell you more about the room: It looks like crap. Tiles on the floor are old, look ugly, and all in all make you feel dirty. The room looks and feels dirty. The furniture is also very old and again, looks dirty. Our sheets have also never been changed, but on the last day. Only the sheet that we cover ourselves with was changed, like a few times. But not the sheets on which we slept on or the pillow covers. So we slept for a week on dirty sheets and pillows. Outside, at ground level, the green bushes/vegetation was sprinkled on with some kind of chemical that smelled bad. This means that you could not open your window for fresh air, because the smell of this chemical would get all inside the room. Also, at ground floor, where we stayed at, there was a whiff that would come from somewhere, and that whiff smelled like bad cheese. I was like wtf is this. Also, colonies of ants can be found on the property and next to our door. The pool they have is dirty, found a lot of hair in it which got in my mouth as well. Honestly, this is the worst vacation we’ve had. Prices in the area are high, food quality is questionable, depending on where you eat and to be honest, I can’t understand why the food is a lot more expensive than where I live, Romania. We used to spend at least 60 EUR a day (sometimes even 100 EUR) for food. That’s a lot. And please don’t tell me we eat a lot or whatever else.. I work out regularly and am very careful on what and how much I eat. Same goes for my wife. Summing it up, we won’t go back to Crete and especially not at this location. Also, DO NOT go on any of the advertised day visits to whatever places they may be advertising (Knossos, etc). It’s boring, tiresome, and not worth it, in my opinion. Also, Wi-Fi in this location, in our room, was crap. Consistently lost connection and we both have new iPhones. Hoping I didn’t forget to add anything here, do not come to this hotel. It’s not worth it.

The hotelowner and staff were very friendly. Breakfastbuffet in the morning was good, unfortunately there are always unsatisfied guests who do not see how much effort the staff makes. The room was perfect and very clean. The swimming pool is small but clean, and the beach is very nearby. Nice restaurants in the street and you can take a bus to Heraklion city.

It was cheap and we didn't expected much from it, as they say you get what you pay, but experience was even more worst then we even could imagine. And it's not about quality of food and drinks when you go with all inclusive it was very poor, but the attitude and rudeness of the owner who is always complaining about everything, making up the ridiculous rules like you can not finish your breakfast coffee near the pool, or leave your bags in friends room after checkout even when the hotel doesn't have save lockers or safe room for extra charge and do not take any responsibility. Always some bad jokes and insults with the feeling that he is not hotel host or more prison guard. Asking for a drink that belongs to you is awkward because you have a feeling that every move of personnel is like huge favour and you need to feel guilty of doing it. Maria is really nice and trying to take care of you, but everything rest is making you feel uncomfortable and annoyed, so if you want cozy vacation do not choose Marirena, you can change menu, do the renovation to get more comfort for the guests, but you will not change Mr. George and he will make worst of it.

The hotel is next to the bar where play loud music until 3 AM. Be ready you don't will sleep. And if you ask own if he can do something, he don't will do. Most horrible experience in my life. Never will comeback! I do not recommend for anyone who wants to enjoy a vacation!!!

The hotel owner is a very obtruber person. He wanted to persuaded us to ate something in his restaurant, because we had to wait for our rooms. Our mistake was to believed him, that the flues were fine. The seefood smelled nasty and corrupt. Furthermore the manager Bella starred at us very time we went out or inside. The other personal was over gentle and wants every time, we went outside, how long we are away and where we were going. I didn't feel "save" in this hotel. The room was not clean and the service also didn't clean the room right or forgot to clean it somedays. In addition the pool reek of chloroform. I never had saw the owner cleaning it (we stayed seven days), only putting "something" from a bucket dumped inside the pool. The breakfast was horrible. We didn't think that the sausage were fresh. Moreover a friend got strong stomach pains after drinking the milk. For dinner we had horrible not tastey food. Also you must pay extra for drinks! Summing up, i wouldn't recommend this hotel. Don't visit it, i don't know why the hotel has so many positive reviews, but i saw how often the owner controls this posts.

We went all inclusive but was very disappointed with the food and drink. There was no cooked breakfast, just bread and cereal and a bit of cold hams etc. You had no choice for lunch, you were served it and if you didn't like it then tough! For dinner there was very limited choice and then you were given dessert, again there was no choice. Regarding the drinks, it was weak beer and wine and no spirits at all and the bar closed at 9! The hotel was very basic, we was there for a week and we didn't get fresh towels or bedding All in all a very disappointing holiday

So I went here with my boyfriend for our vacation. We were greeted by the owner of the hotel who immediately informed us that the breakfast and dinner are ten minutes short (they last 50 minutes) and if you miss it you can it at the hotels Taverna but you pay for everything. Also while here we were supposed to wear yellow plastic bracelets in order to receive any kind of service and if not, we must buy new ones for 5 Euros. One baby even got skin irritatoon on her wrist due to tuese things. After checking, the staff and the owner kept asking us are we brothers and followed us around. Later that night I went to the restaurant and asked for a glass since in the room you only have two in the bathroom to drink from but no other glass or a cup for toothbrushes. And of course the grandpa (owner) run up to and started convincing me that the only reason I want the glass is because I broke one. Like, no! I told him to come to the room and check. He didn't want and gave me a glass with a very rude tone saying NO BREAK.... The next day we were having breakfast (every day it's the same choice) we saw him coming out of our room and taking the glass with him. We went to the room only to find our toothbrushes in the sink. Later that same day I learned that he likes to brag what a great host he is, so I decided to attack. I took the remaining two glases and with a smile in front of his family (I persume) and staff I returned the two glasses and told him: As you can see we broke nothing and would like to return these to you since we bought our own in order not to cause any more trouble. He was pissed. It took him some time to say (through his clenched teeth): glass for you, sorry. Plus it didn't help that I was killing him with a smile, in front of everyone. But the story is not over yet my friends. We met a very nice older couple, very friendly guys. They even bought the toilet brush since there was not one in their bathroom nor were teh given one the next day. And on our last day, there were some guests sitting by the pool area which also serves as the hotel lobby, playing some cards. The grandpa appears, turns off the light on their table and tells them: you go to bed now...sleep..... And they were OLDER THAN HIM!!!! So if you want a hotel which is only 200m away from the beach with a nice view to the pool and loose your privacy completely, than this is a hotel for you. The staff is amazing, but the owner (grandpa) is terrible at running it and does not treat guests with respect. He kept reminding guests that they did not say good morning to him due to nit noticing him or the were doing something else.
