Detailed Reviews
I was pleasantly surprised when we got to Le Cottage- each cottage had a live fence privacy screen; ours was comfortably furnished, with kitted out kitchenette and a washing machine. The service by Miriam was exceptional ( she deserves a raise). The WiFi connection in the rooms is lousy- to be fair the management did provide us with a portable modem which had to be reloaded severally. The food though delicious takes forever to be prepared ( order your food at least an hour and a half before you want it) What soured our otherwise great experience was payment at the end: I had to pay extra bank charges for Forex despite having specifically asked if I could pay in USD and being assured that it would not be a problem.

This is a fairly new hotel (finished late 2021, I believe), and is very nicely appointed. All tile floors. Air conditioner in the living room & the bedrooms. The rooms are all suites, with a nice living area - 2 couches, 2 chairs, 4 tables. Kitchen with a bar & 2 stools, has dishes and silverware, a microwave, stove and electric kettle and a nice-sized refrigerator/freezer. No kitchen supplies like towels or papers towels, or soap.
Our suite had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, which worked out great for us, as we had a traveling companion who was there part of the time. We were able to have some friends in and play a board game, which was nice.
The bathroom was large; shower worked well but had no enclosure and the floor was slick. Shower shoes provided, along with towels, but we had to ask for fresh towels and more toilet paper. Bed was comfortable but very high (I'm short). Desk in bedroom and very nice wardrobe with drawers and hanging areas (covered the whole wall)
Breakfast (included) was good (omelets to order) with some fruit, sausages, fried bananas (good) and sometimes other items like potatoes. Coffee maker was not a great success - coffee slow and usually a little weak. No toaster; plain bread, white and wheat. New chef started the day before we left, & he was very interested in our opinion on the food.
Staff all very nice and accommodating, and it was very quiet. Nice view of Mount Wanale.

+1
Hotel is located in a beautiful, quiet place and mountain ranges are a sight! Suites are awesome, with attention to detail. Only downside are beds are a little squeaky and suite 100c warm water was nonexistent, which can all be resolved. Breakfast could be improved too. The person maintaining the gardens deserves a monthly raise, job well executed. Overall, it's worth your money, a great gem in Mbale.

Pleasantly surprised with how beautiful Le Cottage looks and feels. Spacious rooms and very friendly staff. Free secure parking and located within the city!! I recommend staying there. Only issue was that their delicious food came is small potions.

The place is neat, quiet neighborhood and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are also very specious. For those who love to run the roads are safe and well lit. You will enjoy both the morning and evening runs. The place is also about 1km from town.

We had breakfast at Le Cottage. It's been great. They have a buffet formula with hot and cold food, sweet and salty options

I had an amazing stay in their two bedroom cottage. It’s a quiet and comfortable place. The staff there was extremely helpful. We had an amazing breakfast the next morning and got to interact with the beautiful cultural designs in the establishment.
