We spent there three nights, the place is magical, on the top if the hill, surrounded by wineries. The building is thousand years old, but the rooms are comfortable and cosy. Not very fancy, but only in place like that you can really feel Toskania. The owners are super nice, they prepared dinner for us and other guests, it was homemade Italian food with delicious wine and live music. Breakfasts were also very good, prepared with fresh products. If you can tolerate only big hotels then it’s not a place for you, but otherwise I really recommend it. PS:The owners speak Itglish rather than English, but I don’t think this is a problem, we could understand them without knowing any Italian.

This hard to find quaint old monastery was one stop I was truly looking forward to. The room was perfect and I was looking forward to having wine, olive oil and a homemade meal however my mother requires a walker and to get up all the stairs, it would have been truly exhausting. The owners were very understanding and allowed us to cancel for a very small fee. Maybe next visit to Italy. Beautiful location

We stayed 4 nights here and we didn't expect a great deal for 60EUR per night but although the rooms were large and airy the accommodation was not well organised. When we arrived in the middle of the afternoon the owner wasn't there and we had to wait an hour for him to return. We were then offered a glass of wine while he made up our rooms. After more than an hour we decided to leave our luggage in the partly made up room and head out for the remainder of the day. Breakfast was a casual affair with coffee, fruit juice and some delicious pastries from a local bakery. This was followed by some meats and then after something like an hour by some lovely mozzarella and tomatoes. Generally the rooms were reasonably clean but they weren't made up at all during or stay. Breakfasts were a bit haphazard and the whole experience was very casual and laid back. The swimming pool and hot tub aren't worth mentioning as I would not allow myself to get into either of them! The location is fantastic but facilities are minimal. We were lucky that we had the use of the facilities at Villa Dievole, a short walk away, for most of our stay.…

We arrived at this idyllic country guest house to be greeted by The owner who immediately offered us a glass of wine at the table in the dining room/ kitchen, having travelled a long way we asked for our room and were told it would be two hours before it was ready so we had no choice but to enjoy his hospitality. I requested a towel but this would also be a two hour wait. The washing up was stacked up in the sink since breakfast and our friends who had arrived the day before were full of tales of disorganisation, a missing wife and a series of mishaps that had befallen them since their arrival. That said the rooms were full of character, ours was clean and insect free and although the bed linen and towels looked like something from my granny's airing cupboard it was all clean. The hot water was virtually non existent, the breakfast was there if you had a bucket full of patience but that said we had a delightful stay. I hope that the lady of the house gets back from her travels quickly as her husband is struggling in her absence.…

Well, it is hard to find a better place for a "real" Tuscan sightseeing with so many advantages: modest price with an excellent quality of the offer, vicinity to Siena (15 min by car).. And beauty, beauty, beauty of the Tuscan countryside! The owners are very fruendly and helpful. The rooms are fantastic, traditionally simple, super-clean and spacious. The place is close to many famous Chianty places (very special mentioning for the ice cream place in Castellina in Chianti).

We weren't sure about not going to a normal hotel, but now I know we made the right choice! The hotel is very cool and charming and the surroundings are awesome. The room was quite big and confortable. Breakfast was great, loved the bakery! The owners were the kindest hosts ever. I'm sad we only spent one night there!

If you look for an authentic stay in an old rural estate with wonderful surroundings you can't go much better. Nice, spacious rooms with stunning view into the Tuscan hills and Chianti vineyards, perfectly calm and with the nicest hosts you can imagine. My husband and I stayed for a week at this wonderful farm house. It used to be a convent many decades ago so there is history here and a story to be heard. Our room was lovely with a comfortable bed, a wardrobe and a dresser. The two shuttered windows overlooked the vineyards and the soft green Chianti hills. It was a room with a view to be sure. The bathroom was recently remodeled with a great tub, shower, sink, bidet and toilet. I enjoyed the bathtub and the bird song through the open window. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh crusty bread, yummy preserves and local honey and an assortment of natural yogurts, fruit and italian cold cuts. As we were staying for a week we really connected with our hosts Lorenzo and Rosella. Two beautiful souls who took great care in making everything just right. For a small cost you can have dinner at the table, which we did on three occasions. Rosella is a great cook and she cooked traditional Tuscan food. Her roasted peppers are simply the best. I watched her prepare our favorite dish.. she lightly breaded an array of vegetables all picked from her garden and pan fried them to perfection. Lorenzo maned the grill in the fireplace right there in the kitchen. We had tasty steaks, pork chops and sausage. He drizzled them in olive oil and rubbed rosemary on them with salt and pepper. We ate simple pastas and drank organic wine from their vineyard every night. We had a couple of great evenings with other guests visiting from Southern Italy and France and an Australian couple on bikes. A great feast was prepared and we ate and sang into the wee hours. It felt like family and that's what I liked about staying in this rustic home. We had no Italian but somehow we all connected. There is a beautiful walk down to the river and meadow I highly recommend it before you leave.…

We stayed only 1 night. It is in the middle of nowhere, good for walking or biking or even car exploring of Chianti. The property is clean, it is a bit in medievale style. The problem is that owners doesn't speak very good English, only Italian. It would be nice to talk to them, they are very friendly, but it is hard with language barrier. No WiFi there.
