Just returned from 2 weeks at the wonderful Odessa and didn’t want to leave. I know that British tourists have been cautious this year about travelling but from my experience and the precautions in place at this hotel there was really no need to worry.

Upon arrival we were checked in by the amazing Koulla the reception manageress and offered a warm welcome back to the hotel. The room was excellent it has everything needed for a 2 weeks comfortable stay including dressing gowns, slippers, tv, safety deposit boxes and mini fridge.

The hotel location is perfect right on the strip but the hotel built in from does block the stunning sea views in parts but didn’t notice any blocking on the sunshine.

At the poolside there were never any problems finding a sun bed at anytime of the day and the beach towel service is much improved on previous years.

The bars were serviced by 2 very speedy and Efficient bar men Constantin and Demetris and the drink was almost ready upon your arrival at the bar, amazing service thank you guys. Thank you.

The food at the hotel is much improved on previous years with a great offering of meats, seafood, pastas, soups and salads every evening which were themed, thanks to Chef Andreas for his tasty food, on occasion the food was not always hot though which was disappointing. Michaelis and his team were extremely efficient in seating guests, clearing plates and ensuring that our needs were satisfied. Special thank you to David who was extremely tentative to our dietary requirements specifically offering alternative meals when the offerings were limited for vegetarians. Thank you David for this and your excellent service.

The covid measures in place was mandatory mask wearing in public indoor spaces, hand sanitising stations, tables and surfaces routinely cleaned, glove wearing for buffet spoons and social distance markings throughout.

The hotel could do with a little TLC in places, however another fantastic stay at the Odessa where I have visited many many times over the years, the staff and the service they provide along with the amenities really made this hotel my go to choice for places to stay in Protaras, the staff being an asset to the Tsokkos Company. Thank you for another wonderful stay and see you next year.

I would have absolutely no hesitation of recommending this hotel to future guests.

Came here with Jet 2 on an all inclusive basis booking the hotel largely based on the fact that it advertised you could eat at 4 other outside restaurants, 2 at local hotels and 2 on the strip in the all inclusive package. On arrival we were told that as the hotel was winding down for the season the 2 restaurants on the strip were closed, we tried to book into one of the other hotel restaurants offered to be told that one was only open for 2 more days so was already full!

We booked ourselves into the on site non buffet restaurant to be told they were closing that restaurant down but we could eat off of that menus but had to have it in the buffet restaurant so basically had to eat every night apart from 1 in the same buffet restaurant.

There is no way that this is a four star rated hotel. Whilst the lobby area and restaurant area was always v clean and tidy, the area outside the rooms was in a poor state. Mark’s on the walls and dirty carpets. Our room had one wardrobe door fall off it’s hinges.

Other than that the room was basic but clean, it had a small fridge when on arrival had a bottle of water and two cans of soft drink. When we asked for it to be re stocked we were told that they didn’t do that and those drinks were the only ones provided.

The breakfast, lunch & dinner buffets were well stocked and the food was fine. Drinks as expected were local wines, spirits & beers as expected however things like fresh orange juice for breakfast, bottled water for the room were all extra.

Lastly whilst the pool area was clean and tidy with plenary of loungers and clean towels, the pool itself was absolutely freezing. I appreciate it was the end of the season and cool at night but this was the coldest hotel pool I’ve ever been in.

Restaurant and bar staff were friendly enough but not the case for the reception staff who for some reason were not!

Pictures attached are off the hallway area leading to our room on the 4th floor.

Dear Richard W, Thank you very much for staying with us recently and for taking the time to post your valuable and very constructive comments on TripAdvisor. We are glad that you have enjoyed some aspects of your holiday but at the same we are disappointed by the fact that we were not able meet your holiday expectations to the maximum. The corridor carpets were changed a couple of years ago and as such they are considered to be new. Furthermore prior to the hotel opening this year they were shampooed cleaned and disinfected and the same procedure took place again in September this year. We will definitely look into this matter in more detail over the winter period. All of your comments are highly appreciated and I can assure you that we shall be rectifying things for next year. We would like to thank you once again and sincerely wish you all the best and good health. With our warmest regards The Odessa Hotel Team

Arrived at this hotel on 14th July for 14 nights on all inclusive basis. Stayed in room 234 which overlooked Tsokkos Beach hotel.
Room was cleaned daily and towels replaced everyday. Cleaners very pleasant. Bedroom was nice, however bathroom was dated and could do with being updated. Shower was terrible and floor was soaked after having one.
Food was to a high standard. Plenty of choice and always hot. Breakfast was nice, also having the option of fresh fried eggs, omlette and pancakes.
Lunch was plentyful, this was followed by snacks on the afternoon.
Evening meal had various themed nights for food. Plenty of choice.
Restaurant staff were very helpful and pleasant ,they went out of their way to make sure the guests were looked after.
Andreas the chef often came out of the kitchen to speak to guests to make sure everything was ok with the food.
The cocktails from the pool bar and reception bar were amazing. Special mention to Petros who always chatted to guests and told jokes.
The entertainment wasnt great. The girl entertainer did little to get guests involved. Their was occasional volley ball however that was that for the day.
Singer or violinist was on in reception on an evening however they usually played to themselves as guests preferred to sit on the verander.
There were plenty of sun loungers but towards the end of the second week you had to be down early to get a lounger.
Hotel perfectly situated. Couple minute stroll to the main strip. Lovely cocktails in Waves and Ripples. Great acts in Ghetto, Joker Square and Sphinx.
Iron and ironing board available to hire for duration of holiday for a refundable €10. Free wifi and safe.
Aircon really good which was needed 24/7 . If you need to keep your room on for the last day make sure you ask at reception 2 days beforehand. There is a charge of €35.
Make sure you hire a quad from Yerimos who is opposite the hotel and get out and explore the area.

If you’re thinking about booking don’t.

The photos provided on all websites show the recently updated reception and pictures of the beach.

They’re a lie.

Once you leave the reception area, it’s like walking into a hostel.

The rooms and the rest of the hotel is still living in the 90s. There was mould in my room below the mirror and plaster falling off. I complained to reception regarding this and also that the wardrobe was broken, they came and ‘fixed’ the wardrobe if you can call it that (photo attached) but nothing else was done.

We stayed for 10 days and within this time period the maid only ever changed the towels, some days she took the used ones and didn’t give us fresh in which I had to complain to reception AGAIN.

The food is dreadful and lunch is even worse with a selection of 3 kids meals (pizza, chips and hotdogs) nothing else. No variety what so ever.

We went all inclusive and what a waste of money.

There were no beds after 8am around the pool, the drinks were seriously watered down and the ice cream is under lock and key, literally.

During my stay I used the all inclusive for bottles of water, to which I was refused multiple times due to the bars ‘not been open’

If ifs before 5pm you need to travel across the hotel to get a drink from the pool bar. Before 10am you need to use the breakfast hall (no bottled water) after 5pm only the lobby bar.

Very poor service and I will definitely not be returning.

Receptionists sit on their phone and act busy, I stood at the desk for 5 minutes and still no response until I had to say excuse me.

Definitely not a 4 star, avoid at all costs.

If you’re looking for a good hotel close by check out vangelis suites or flamingo (the actual beach hotel infront of Odessa)

Dear Chloe F, Thank you for staying at the Odessa recently and for taking the time to post your constructive review on TripAdvisor. We do value our guest's comments and consider them an excellent tool for our continuous effort for improvement. We are really sorry that we did not manage to meet your holiday expectations but I can assure you that we shall use your comments in order to get better. Having said this however we would like to mention that although there are more sunbeds on the grassed area most people prefer the ones near and around the swimming pool. The spirits and drinks served are definitely not watered down, they are however locally produced drinks and as such they taste different from the original brands. We serve bottled water starting at 10am from the pool bar and from 16:00hrs we serve bottled water from the lobby bar too. Based on the feed back we get from the vast majority of our guest the food served within the premises of a very high quality and variety. Both lunch and dinners menus are rotated biweekly and in case any of guests feel that they would like something else or they have any special dietary requirements they can always speak to one of our senior service staff or to Andreas our head chef and they will be more than happy to assist. We have noted your comments about the receptionists and we shall be taking immediate action to stop it. We are really sorry that you will not be returning to the Odessa but we believe that should you change your mind about and decide to revisit us you will for sure notice the changes and improvements. Thanking you once again and wishing you all the best The Odessa Hotel Team

We found the staff very friendly . The rooms kept clean every day by the excellent cleaning staff. It was quiet at night, we slept with the patio doors open.
If you pay extra for a sea view be aware there are now two hotels obstructing the view.
The food got a bit boring and bland.
Around the pool were two lots of music competing with one another which was annoying. Some of the sun beds were broken, although when the staff were told they tried to fix them, but they shouldn’t be broken anyway.
Excellent COVID restrictions, face coverings and hand sanitising all over, just a shame some of the staff don’t know how to wear a face covering correctly.
Very close to a very busy beach.
A few good bars in the town which tried hard with difficult circumstances ie. COVID.
Don’t think we would return.

We spent a wonderful week in Odessa Beach Hotel. We arrived late at night and got a quiet sea view room, which was cleaned every day. The staff were very helpful and friendly! The room has everything you need:TV, wi-fi, a safe box, a fridge, a kettle, some tea and coffee. The restaurants are on the ground floor. You are always welcomed by the staff at the reception and at the entrance of the restaurant. Another interesting aspect is a possibility to taste something delicious in the restaurant of the hotel. We were really impressed by a great choice of spreads, salads, grilled dishes and desserts.
Location of the hotel is perfect: it takes you approximately 10 minutes to get to the best beach Fit Tree Bay. At the same time, the hotel is in the centre of the resort, so there are a lot of shops and restaurants around here.
Excellent service, high-quality food and good location make it one of the best places for spending your holidays in Cyprus.Показать меньше

An excellent hotel in a very central location in Protaras, just 2 mins from the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Odessa, supported by a team of really friendly and caring staff. All Covid regulations were in place including sanitizers in all areas and gloves available in the restaurants to enable you to safely help yourselves to the food for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The staff warmly welcomed you in the restaurant at all meal times, the chef, Andreas would always pop around to ensure you are happy with the meals, he also made us a special a la carte meal one lunch time which was amazing and also a breakfast. We also visited the Sofa Sofa restaurant for a la carte dining and were impressed with the quality of the food, Petros always served us lovely dishes there with the help of chef Lukas. The bar staff at both bars were very friendly and always served us lovey cocktails. The restaurant manager always looked after us and ensured we were happy with our meals.

I would like to thank Andreas and Yiannos for providing the chillies to spice up our food,

I would definitely go there again and recommend to others for a chilled holiday.

Sunil.

We previously visited Odessa in October 2019 and returned in October 2021 for another fantastic week at Odessa.

The food at the hotel is delicious, fresh and tasty there is always a wide variety of food on offer.

Andrea's the Head Chef is so kind he went out of his way to ensure we were looked after all week. Andrea's is so friendly and helpful he works incredibly hard to deliver delicious quality food for the guests at Odessa.

Hand sanitiser and plastic gloves were available in the restraunt which was really impressive and made us feel more at ease.

Koulla was fantastic from the moment we arrived such a lovely friendly lady. She provided us witha great service with lots of information and help.

The hotel is lovely, clean and comfortable.

Our room was thoroughly cleaned every day and the cleaners were friendly and helpful.

We returned to Odessa because of how friendly and helpful Andreas and the staff made our previous stay.

We love staying at Odessa and we will be returning next year... We hope to see you all soon..

A big THANK YOU to Andrea's , Koulla, Petros, Michalis and Vojtech for making our stay that extra special and making us feel so welcome!

I would firstly like to start with the positives before the negatives…

The location of the hotel for my partner and I was perfect. Right by the beach and also in the middle of protaros so had plenty of stuff to do within walking distance.

The bed was amazing, and the room and the bathroom were both of good size and very modern! We also were given dressing gowns, slippers and as it was my birthday a complimentary bottle of wine which was lovely.

We stayed in a room with a limited sea view and please bare in mind it is not worth the extra money, the view is simply that limited I don’t even know why the advertise it as an additional as you can barely see the sea.

On to the negatives, we were told once on arrival and twice by staff at reception we had to book for EVERY restaurant 24 hours in advance, and we’re never advised that the downstairs restaurant was open for use without booking despite us repeatedly asking. We stayed for 10 days and didn’t discover this until our 7th night and this point had no interest of eating in due to the lack of communication by staff. When my partner questioned one of the members about the information we provided both on our arrival and during our stay he raised his voice and was very patronising.

We did book for the Greek restaurant on the system and went to the address provided in the brochure (the middle of protaros street) and it was shut down, not even open. This was also a wasted trip and very disappointing.

The snack bar, lunch and breakfast were arguably the worst variety I’ve seen at an all inclusive restaurant. Extremely repetitive and just no variety.

Also, the cleaning staff were extremely intrusive! Although the cleaner on the 3rd staff was lovely she would knock but walk in straight away and not wait for anyone to answer the door. She did this many times throughout our stay. The worst was on our last day she came in at 9 without knocking and we advised her we were checking out at 12 so come back later.

She left but walked back in at 11 whilst I was topless and put some sheets on a chair and apologised and left. This whole experience made me extremely sad as it felt like she was rushing her job always and was just quite invasive of peoples personal space.

I have stayed at Cyprus 3 times prior to my visit at Odessa and although I will visit Cyprus again, I will not be visiting Odessa.

Recently stayed a week at the Odessa Beach Hotel and had a very enjoyable stay.
Upon reaching the hotel we were greeted by some welcoming staff who swiftly checked us in.

We stayed in a Deluxe Side Seaview room on All Inclusive, the room itself was modern and spacious, with plenty of storage and facilities. The bed was comfortable and extra pillows were available both in the wardrobe as well as from the house keeping team.

The bathroom offered toiletries and a good powerful shower, and the balcony was large with modern furniture. A safety deposit box and Iron are available with a cash deposit.

The swimming pool area was very open with plenty of sunbeds available, both on the pool area and surrounding garden/grass area.

Food and drink at the hotel were very good, an extensive cocktail menu available to those on all inclusive as well as the usual soft drinks and beers. I would like to give a big thank you to Petros from the bar team who was fantastic. There was a gorgeous terrace sitting area on the first floor where you can enjoy a drink in the evening.

Break and lunch are served in one restaurant whilst dinner is in another, and I honestly have to safe the food is outstanding in the Odessa, some of the best varieties I’ve seen in an all-inclusive hotel, and the Chef team are also helpful and considerate should you need anything additional from them.

Christian from the restaurant serving team was always on top of things and friendly.

The entertainment team were good, always had some sort of activity taking place, although I found the evening activities to be quite basic but maybe this was just because of the time of year.

Location is exactly where you want to be, 2 mins walk from both the beach and the main strip of Protaras.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, all the staff are fantastic, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
