We spent 12 nights at the Ikos Oceania and the experience was just AMAZING!
We picked this location up because this Is COViD time, we did not want to go around too much and Oceania has everything on the paper: pools, restaurants, beaches and all inclusive formula, but the experience went well beyond any optimistic expectations.
What I liked the most:
1) the staff is the best I have ever met, it is super-professional, hard working and always ready to help.
I have not met a single person who was not nice to us, but let me mention Alex (the manager for being so caring), Eleni, Despina , Luka, Sampson and the other waiters/waitresses on the beach (I wonder what they have for breakfast in the morning for being so nice and restless during the entire day :), Thekla (bella e brava - as we say in Italy - an outstanding restaurant manager), Angela and Carolina (the waitresses at the same French restaurant) and many more I don’t remember the names
2) the COVID protocol is flawless, we never felt at risk and the room, the gym, the sun beds and the tables were spotless and continuously cleaned and disinfected
3) the structure is new, well kept, clean and with some amazing views. Bars and restaurants are serving nice food and have great service
4) the all inclusive formula is a real “all inclusive”, worth more than 5 stars. You get fresh bottles of water on the beach every 2 hours without even asking. Food allergies and intolerances are carefully tracked and all the restaurants keep them in consideration.

We are going to miss this place a lot but we will definitely come back to one of the Ikos resorts in the future.

If you’re going to have to spend a week in Greece with unseasonal wet and cool weather, there’s no better place to be than Ikos Oceania.
Arriving early evening, our documents were quickly checked and within a short time we were transported to our accommodation by golf buggy and our luggage followed within minutes.
Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Small touches like a UK three pin socket and USB port showed attention to detail. The bathroom was pristine with his and hers washbasins and towelling robes and slippers.
Next morning the full extent of the hotel was revealed and from our balcony it all looked delightful. Four swimming pools including those for children and adults only were surrounded with sun beds and parasols and a pool bar to keep everyone refreshed.
Although the hotel has 300 rooms, the site does not appear overlarge and despite the slopes, is easily negotiated with the use of strategically placed lifts. Three of the four speciality restaurants are remote from the main building and as they are built into the sloping site, have lovely views. The food in all four was of an extremely high quality and we enjoyed them all.
So, what makes this hotel stand out from other 5 star establishments? It is the level of service and the helpful friendly staff. Everyone was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Vangelis, Rooms Division Manager and Alex Customer Service Manager circulated the site daily, checking all was well and asking for input on anything that needed attention.
So, were there any niggles? An umbrella in the room would have been useful for those rainy days and having to use phones to display menus didn’t always work. However, these were minor hiccups and did not detract from the enjoyment of a week in this excellent hotel.

We have just returned from an amazing week at the Ikos Oceania. It was our first “Ikos experience” and definitely won’t be our last. From the moment we arrived, the service by all staff members was first class and certainly exceeded our expectations. The staff work tirelessly to ensure that all guests are happy and enjoying their holiday, and nothing is too much for them. From a glass of fizz, refreshing towel and personal check in on arrival to rooms being cleaned twice a day, it’s little touches like that which makes an Ikos holidays a five star experience.

The food at the hotel is out of this world. We enjoyed all of the a la carte options but special mention has to go to Provence; we loved having our breakfast, lunch and dinner there (the triple fried potatoes are a must have!). We also enjoyed going to the wine tasting at Provence, and Thea was a great host and a super passionate and knowledgeable sommelier. As Provence is next to the adults pool, we found it a bit quieter with less kids than Ouzo (next to the main pool) which suited us as a couple.

We had pre-booked three restaurants at 7.30 prior to going to the hotel, and booked the remaining restaurants on the first day of our arrival. As the second part of our holiday coincided with the English half term, we could only get bookings at 9.00pm, which actually worked out well as it was generally cooler and quieter at that time.

We enjoyed the atmosphere at the main pool in our first few days, preferring to sit there rather than the adults pool. However, once the English half term begun, we found the main pool extremely busy and struggled to get a lounger at 10.00am. The adults pool was quieter and always had loungers available. Whilst we really enjoyed how peaceful the adults pool was, perhaps some music wouldn’t go amiss.

There is not much to see in the neighbouring town of Nea Moudania but we didn’t really mind that as the hotel was so nice that we didn’t want to leave it. We did venture out one afternoon to Afitos which we would highly recommend. It is a lovely little town with cobbled streets, a church and beautiful scenery. It cost €30 in a taxi each way which the hotel organised.

We have stayed in a few all inclusive hotels before and, personally, I always feel ready to leave after a week. However, I feel that we only scratched the surface of what the hotel has to offer and could have easily stayed there for 10 to 14 days.

Our first Ikos experience was truly out of this world and the hotel (and staff) is so worthy of it’s five star rating.

Thank you so much Ikos Oceania for the best holiday ever!

What makes this place so successful is the service provided by all the staff as everyone comments. You will be met by helpful, smiling people at every turn. We requested better blackout curtains in our bedroom as the original ones only went halfway across the window and it was done without fuss or problem. We prefer the location of Ikos in Corfu, only because there is very little in the area to do if the weather is bad as it was on our visit. We found the food good in all the restaurants; weakest for us was Flavors with cheap quality orange juice ( mixed with squash??) at breakfast. The beach and deluxe pool were our favourite places to spend the day with attentive, great young staff. Housekeeping is super and the standard of rooms is very high. Transfer to and from the airport organised by the hotel worked well and was reasonably priced.

Finally rescheduled our trip to Ikos Oceania arriving late September, we only occasionally stay at an all-inclusive resort so when choosing one we do so more carefully as you will be living and eating there for your whole trip, we chose Ikos for the highly rated reviews, beachfront and it came with several la carte restaurants. On arrival we instantly loved the elevated hilly resort giving fabulous views, Our SV Junior Suite was perfect, loved the Nespresso machine and good quality toiletries. Also the great sandy beach and various pool areas, some of the beds were a bit close to each other around the main pool which was fine until people started smoking. Plenty to do if you want it we took out the bikes it is fairly flat and you can bike for miles along the seafront though small villages, the nearest working town is Neo Moudania which we liked and sat with a drink around the pedestrianised area watching the thriving life in the town. We also booked the hotels wine tasting that they offer and that was fun and informative with some great local Greek wines to try.

Majority of the staff we came across were amazing, helpful and friendly, especially in Fresco, Provence and the beach Taverna but just too many to mention, must not forget the housekeeping staff who always cleaned our rooms to a high standard, prior to travelling we had made a few restaurants bookings and room requests and emails were answered promptly.

Impressive lobby area where you could chill and have cocktails which were all very good quality with plenty to choose from, the drinks service both in the lobby, pool and beach area was excellent.

The restaurants Ouzo, Fresco and Anaya during the evening all had lovely low lighting or outside dining giving a nice ambience during the evenings, we enjoyed the food in all the restaurants overall some meals better than others, sometimes the food could have been warmer when it came out. Ouzo used to have a more extensive pre-covid menu and we would have liked that at lunch times with more local Greek dishes available rather than just the BBQ option/Veggie and sides. If you’re staying for longer than a week we felt it would be good to see some of the menus change occasionally and have maybe different themes at the buffet which during our stay was always the same. We are being super critical and respect that things are not quite back to normal, but overall the food was very good.

Would we go back to an Ikos Resort? ABSOLUTELY, it offered us pretty much everything that we wanted so thank you IKOS and look forward to planning future trips.

It is rare these days to find true excellence in a hotel.I believe I am well qualified to judge having traveled the world as a long haul airline pilot.
The property sits on the top of a hill with stunning views across the sea.For those who don’t like climbing a few steps there are golf buggies available. The rooms vary in size but are equipped with superb furniture which accommodates all your belongings without the usual call to reception for more hangers. The minibar all included is well stocked. The pools are spotless and there is no requirement for and early start to reserve a sun bed as there are always some available. There is more than enough shade with multiple sun umbrellas.
There are numerous restaurants and bars all providing excellent quality food and drink. If like me you are too lazy to move from your sunbed a waiter will fetch you food and drink to you.
It would be unfair to single out any one member of staff because they are all excellent in all departments of the hotel.Reception reservations restaurants bars pool service etc
I cannot recommend this resort enough and I am a master at picking holes in the best

We travelled as a couple in late September. Overall we had an excellent time, and would return without hesitation, but our stay was not quite reflective of all the amazing ratings I have seen.

The transfer from the airport was effortless and took approximately 30 mins. As we are fully vaccinated, we did not need to take a test on arrival, but did need to show a copy of our vaccination certificate.

The resort is beautiful, it is built in to the hillside so everywhere you go has a view of the sea. It is not flat by any means, so if you have poor mobility, you will need to call a golf cart to drive you around (I cannot comment on how easy this would be, as we did not need to do so). Everything is well decorated and comfortable.

Our room was 5108, which is in the deluxe building. The room itself was nice, with a comfortable bed, however I would avoid the ground floor rooms of the deluxe building if you are a light sleeper, as I found it noisy (these are the rooms with the private gardens). The noise comes from the corridor, which acts as an echo chamber, and every morning at about 7:30am, we were disturbed by someone accessing a cupboard in the corridor. On our last night, we were awoken by a baby crying down the corridor as they had left their bathroom window open!

The service at both the deluxe pool and beach was fantastic, and I personally think the deluxe upgrade is worth the cost simply down to the amazing sun loungers on the beach! The servers were attentive and friendly everywhere we went.

The food at all the restaurants and for room service was delicious. We didn't have a bad meal all holiday. The wine selection at the restaurants is extensive, and the staff are knowledgeable enough to give recommendations. The cocktails are variable depending on which bar you visit, but the wine really is the star of the show.

There is not a great deal to see and do in the local area. We walked into Nea Moudania, and we used our complimentary mini day to visit the Gerovassiliou vineyard, which I cannot recommend highly enough. Unfortunately, we found the reception staff to be really lacking here. We asked on two separate occasions how we access the culture pass, and none of the staff seemed to even know what it was. We decided to stop wasting time and just pay for the vineyard (only 10 euros).

The evening entertainment is fairly low key. They had 3 theatre shows per week, and on the other nights there was live music, and all of this was enjoyable, but nothing to write home about.

The only other slight disappointment for us, was that we booked our dinner on the beach for our wedding anniversary, and it was cancelled due to bad weather (not the resorts fault), and they were unable to accommodate us in any of the a la carte restaurants, so we spent our anniversary at the buffet. We also never got the cake we were offered to celebrate (not a huge deal, as there is plenty of food). This is just something to think about if you are celebrating an occasion at the resort.

As I said, overall we had a great time, but it is pricey, and my expectations were high having read all the review, so it fell slightly short in some aspects. I would have given 4.5 stars if it were possible.

This is certainly a fabulous five star hotel. The service is amazing and the staff are all so attentive . The restaurants were if such a high quality and standard , all staff everywhere wore masks too. Our room overlooked the sea , short walk to beach and pools. The adult only infinity pool was amazing , and the pool service was constant , fresh chilled water bottles delivered throughout the day . I would definitely come back to this hotel .

We have stayed at many exceptional 5 star hotels, is this better than those? Yes!
Lots of hotels have lovely pools, exceptional views and access to a nice beach so what makes this different? It is, without doubt, the service.
We stayed in a garden room in block 1, the room is well equipped but no better or worse than other 5 star rooms. However, the air conditioning is amazing and we loved having the garden, the mini bar and access to room service 24/7 included in the price which immediately makes being in the room more appealing.
Every restaurant is exceptional, the Oceania are very lucky to have Panos as their Executive Chef as every restaurant offers amazing food and a great choice of starters, mains and desserts.
However, as I said at the beginning of this review it is the staff that sets this hotel apart from all the rest. When we checked in, we were met by Mary who talked us through everything we needed to know and showed us how to access the What’s app concierge.
No-one forgets who you are and everyone prides themselves on remembering your personal circumstances. The night before we left Mary came and found us and checked we had had a nice time.
Throughout our stay we were lucky to have the constant attention of Demi by the pool who constantly brought us drinks, food and a smile. All the restaurants have excellent staff as does reception, guest services, house keeping, room service and those that work by the pool. You really feel that they would do anything to ensure you have the best holiday ever.
They constantly strive to please and genuinely seem to want feedback. The only feedback I could give was that they were exceptional.
We had a problem with ants in our garden and they kept checking in with us that the problem had been resolved. When we left Elsa had a bottle of sparkling wine delivered to our room, along with hats and a lovely bag. An unexpected gesture but well received.
Unlike many hotels they don’t make you leave when you check out and gave us access to all the facilities until our complimentary taxi came to pick us up. I really wanted to try another Ikos in October half term but they are so booked up that we will have to wait a while.
Thank you to everyone for making our stay so fantastic.

After reading so many positive reviews and having friends and family recommend Ikos Oceania definitely didn’t disappoint.

When we arrived we found out all guests had to have a negative COVID lateral flow test (free) before being allowed to check in.

Upon check in we found the room very nice, the choice of restaurants great. The free mini bar was topped up daily and the service was outstanding throughout.

We did arrive in peak season and the hotel was full and despite this we felt very safe. However, this did mean the restaurants were full each night and we would recommend booking the first few nights dinners and breakfasts before you arrive and the rest upon check in. If you would like a quieter dinner, we found the restaurants tended to quieten down after 9pm making a much more relaxed ambience. We also booked the full day Mini Cooper hire (included in hotel booking) and enjoyed exploring some nearby towns/beaches one afternoon with Afytos being the highlight and definitely worth a visit!

We also very much enjoyed the the adult pool, which was quiet and relaxing and thank Vangelis for his superb service and attention.

We look forward to visiting again in the future and trying some of the other Ikos resorts. We have travelled all over the world and stayed at many of the best hotels and Ikos is definitely one of the best all inclusive resorts we have come across in Europe.
