Ocean15 is a family owned property offering traditional Barbadian warmth and hospitality. Recently refurbished, the hotel offers sixteen (16) impeccably furnished, luxury lifestyle rooms reflecting fine Barbadian decor, simple elegance and comfort. It is an excellently appointed facility designed to embrace families and business travelers, the adventurist or the individual looking for solitude. We are less than 5 minutes walking distance from the white sand and turquoise waters of Dover Beach and are located in the center of the renowned St Lawrence Gap, famous for its lively night life, wide variety of restaurants and bars and duty-free shopping. They say you get what you pay for. Here I think you get slightly more. Located at the quieter end of the strip, 2 minutes from the beach, supermarket and a couple of bars, the Ocean 15 is clean, friendly and has all the amenities you'll need. Air con, safe, ironing board, internet, etc and a cheap breakfast to boot. The pool is small and we seemed to be the only ones who used it... Pronto's just up the road was good for good value food and drink. 4 Deputy's for B$10. 5 minutes walk to the nightlife 😁😁😁

This hotel is at the bottom of the gap and on a busy corner - we stayed for 2 weeks at a very reasonable price however Our Room was dated but clean and functional, we were at the front of the hotel on the ground floor so right on the corner which was a bit noisy at night but as already mentioned paid an excellent price for our room by Barbados standards. The pool was nice but the sunbeds do need replacing but other than that it’s fine and nice and clean. The staff were all lovely and very helpful Cleaning ladies always gave us anything we asked for. Didn’t eat in the restaurant so unable to advise although always seemed busy Had a couple o nights in the bar which was fun and we were always made welcome which is important we feel. Drinks were very nice and reasonably priced. We would stay here again as we had a great time. 😊

This is a small family run hotel, staff are very friendly and helpful so it is hard to write my review. I think most of the reviews I read before staying are from people who only ate in the cafe or drank in the bar in the evening they are not actually staying at the hotel. Firstly the sun beds around the pool are nothing like those shown in any booking sites I looked at. There were 4 blue nylon covered beds and 2 white (1 was broken). The pool was small but ok for the amount of people who actually sat around it. The lounge was spacious but furniture was old and a bit grubby. The kitchenette was fully equipped but the fridge was scratched to bits, looked like it belonged in a skip. The bathroom was adequate and quite a powerful shower, but I had to clean 1 of the walls before using it. There was a shelf above the sink missing so had difficulty in putting toiletries around sink. Now to the bedroom, there was a 3 drawer chest and when you opened middle one the bottom drawer opened with it. The bed was very old and although comfortable the mattress had seen better days, the frill hung loose on the floor, the sheets didn’t fit and 1 change of sheets had blood on, which hadn’t washed out. The swim up bar was never open and I did not see or hear any karaoke on Friday or Sunday. There seemed to be a barbecue on both Saturday nights but for non residence? We did not see a menu or were not told about it. When we asked there was not enough for us. There were no menus on tables in the cafe or in the bar in the evening. We had breakfast 1 Morning and the pancakes were good, the bacon was undesirable. We had samosas for lunch 1 day, which were superb. I would not say the food or drink was a good price there were lots of bars down the gap, which were better value.

Just popped down for a bite to eat and were pleasantly surprised how goo the food was for the price. My husband is picky but he really enjoyed his chicken and spicy wedges, I had the special which was a chicken roti very tasty and more than I could eat. The waitress made fresh Bajan lemonade for us, The service was pleasant and friendly staff. We will definitely go again. Right near Dover and Sandals resort. Food was reasonable total bill was $25 US for food and drink

The Hotel has a restaurant attached. We visited the restaurant only. They served up some great roties. If you need a lunch to go they’ll pack it for you. Not the fastest but it was tasty and made fresh. Laid back atmosphere(island time). Restaurant was very clean and I would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

Had a nice time, it’s small, relaxed and it’s very quiet, if you want a change from having lots of people milling around at breakfast time & charging down to the pool it’s for you. Our room was by the pool on the ground floor 2 bed 2 bathroom, it was huge & spotless the cleaning ladies are ace! It was a bit dark in there & obviously no views (you get what you pay for) but had everything you need & fine if you want to make a bit of breakfast etc We ate in the little cafe bit & the foods very nice and it’s good value. My husband said the bar was pretty cheap too. Barbados is pretty expensive for food but as the Hotel is at the top of the Gap there’s lots of places to choose from all the way down. Beach is a couple of mins walk, shops a couple of mins walk, got the bus to the Boatyard & Carlisle bay it’s cheap & fun also went to harbour lights show as never done that. Been to Barbados a lot & stayed at all different hotels so wanted to do it a bit differently this time. Overall I think it’s a great value, very clean, family run hotel a nice option if you have a family with the added bonus of a nice bar & a cafe. All members of staff were friendly & helpful and they let us keep our room on which was great. Would definitely recommend.

3rd time to the lovely island of Barbados and each time we have stayed in different accommodations ... I will start with the positives .. The property is well located to the quieter end of the Gap , we had a 2 bedroom apartment located on ground floor it was very spacious 2 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms , Tv's , A/C through out and worked really well , and big kitchen with all that you need , the lounge was big with a tv dining table and big comfy sofa , it was very clean through out and fresh towels daily . We did have a bar snack one afternoon and the food was lovely . So would recommend the chicken samosas and Bajan fish cakes . Now for the negatives ... The patio area was very small with 3 chairs and a table for 4 people ? .. The pool looked like it was cleaned .. but on viewing it was full of leaves and I'm guessing what had blown in off the pathways , so we didn't bother , we did Dover beach every day , couple of mins walk . The bar seemed to open daily but closed early some nights a lot of locals drink there , there was karaoke on 2 nights but didn't bother us , My other gripe about this place was every day we would return from the beach and the A/C was switched off , when we had left it on ? So came back on many occasions to a really hot apartment! , maybe something to do with cost but we had paid nearly £1800 for a weeks stay , Now to the last part , which i feel is important to note , Check out is 12 noon , but 3 days prior to departure we had asked about a courtesy room or keeping on the room , as there is a notice in the room you can pay for late check out , we were informed that we couldn't but if anything changes we will let you know , Now our friend departed before us and was on a gatwick flight , she was able to use a room to shower, from spending our last couple of hours on the beach , when we returned we were told no there is no facilities to shower here or any rooms available, only a toilet and small sink near the pool, never have i known on any holiday at any property not to provide a safe place for luggage or a courtesy room , our flight home to the uk was 8.30pm local time , so as you can imagine an 8hr flight only being able to wash face a rinse sand off wasn't ideal , in all of the chaos sorting our stuff around the pool area , i misplaced my makeup bag while trying to juggle luggage clothes etc , I had travelled back to the uk to be informed by my friend that she had recieved an email from the property to say it had been left , possibly my fault but with not one place to freshen up on departure , im sure i wouldnt of misplaced it , They have offered to ship over but i was shocked at home much the shipping was which i won't disclose . I'm not deeming this a bad place because all the staff were lovely always saying Good morning hello and always acknowledged you , The housekeeping was excellent and the rooms were pristine . And we did enjoy our stay . Just a note to Ocean 15 Management , A courtesy room and a secure luggage room is a standard thing in most hotels , We just felt let down that we couldn't shower from the beach and travelling on a long flight back to the UK feeling grubby wasn't nice . Thanks Lucy Claire Karrie and Eleanor

My wife and I booked here for ten nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay immensely! The Ocean 15 is certainly not a corporate bland, tourist processor type of hotel! It has a quaint charm and character, as it is family run! The pool area is small, but quiet and relaxing. The hotel has a good bar attached to it which we enjoyed visiting every day. The cafe part is very popular and serves great food. It is popular with tourists and locals. The staff are very hardworking and pleasant especially the cleaning supervisor lady. The hotel is very clean! It is worth noting there is a Sunday Karaoke which is very popular, but loud. The noise could disturb small children as it finishes at midnight! The WiFi was excellent in all parts of the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book there again should we return to Barbados!

Another happy stay at Ocean 15 in our favourite room (they remembered!) right by the pool and close to the bar. As always all you need is there - comfortable bed, nice little private patio and such friendly staff - the cleaners walking by always had a friendly word, the girls in the coffe bar/restaurant where we had breakfast each day, enjoying the variety on offer, and the reception staff who took such great trouble helping us with an inter-island phone call which our own phones were not set up to connect. As always not long enough - it was oly a few days stopover on the way to St Vincent. But we will be back for sure.
