I and my wife have been coming to Barbados since 1987 and we’ve tried lots of hotels around the island But this is the most friendly we’ve been to,every member of staff are lovely and helpful, that’s why we’ve been here for the last six years and already booked again for next year. Thanks all at Rostrevor see you in 358 days.Andy and Karen coates
Booked this hotel to use as a quarantine base for my family visit to Barbados. Due to lockdowns in UK and Barbados was unable to travel. The Rostrevor would not allow us to move the booking or issue any refund, thereby depriving us of ANY help despite the fact that they would be unable to deliver their contractual obligation. Every other part of our trip, either offered alternative dates or refunded. $600 for absolutely nothing, Rostrevor you should be ashamed. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask! If you are contemplating booking this place, don’t waste your money. There are other places that will look after you better and offer some goodwill in times where everything is uncertain. Rostrevor you should be ashamed!
Late Nov 2020, I arrived to the ROSTREVOR HOTEL Christ Church BARBADOS as a guest for a one week stay in transit to another Caribbean destination. Following an exhaustive 72hr flight that arrived late evening of Nov 24, an older gentleman (who bore a remarkable limp), approached me after I checked in and identified himself as the Senior Security Supervisor on duty at the ROSTREVOR HOTEL BARBADOS (Christ Church district), he said he will show me up to my room. He then led me thru the courtyard from the Lobby while I was back n forth lugging my 4 heavy suitcases up FOUR flight of stairs up to the FOURTH FLOOR. Because I was in quarantine I was unable to explore the hotel. Imagine my utter shock, dismay and disgust when upon checking out I realized / noticed that there was a FULLY functioning elevator located 2 doors away from my room that lead to and from the lobby area on the ground floor. All this, apparently in anticipation of getting a tip for assisting me doing heaven know what (which was nothing but show / escort me to my room while I carried my luggage).. I asked the lobby staff if the ROSTREVOR HOTEL BARBADOS' elevator, that one 2 door away and less than 10 meters from the lobby was out of service recently or during my stay, to which he responded that they were always working fully and were never out of order at any time. So I immediately brought this strange, atrocious incident (and obviously act of inexplicable and inexcusable bizarre wickedness) to the attention of the ROSTREVOR HOTEL BARBADOS Lobby Staff who was on duty during my checkout - seeking an explanation; only to be brushed off and brushed asides. Interestingly, her response was a casual and quite nonchalant "Oh..we'll talk to him…" No apology to me, no remorse or anything of the sort. It was like if this had happened before in the past and they were well aware of such an occurence. I guess it was either customary or deemed acceptable (and a way of snuffing unearned and easy / extra tips off their guests) as far as this hotel The ROSTREVOR HOTEL BARBADOS and it's staff were concerned.. The said guess who made sacrifices and supported them in spite if the Covid criss that has crippled many like entities. Today, though still disappointed, disheartened and quite frankly disturbed since then, following this experience I've had at the ROSTREVOR HOTEL BARBADOS, I've only just found the composure, peace and strength to write about this ordeal of an incident which followed an already stressful and eventful trip due to all the COVID-19 procedures and protocols that were in place during my long, aderous journey; but I wish the ROSTREVOR HOTEL BARBADOS 'well' in their future endeavors. And hope they realize that what goes around, comes around..Because my incident was most likely not an isolated one!…
I visited this hotel three times, the first two times was perfect. I recently visited for my boyfriend birthday. I indicated it was his birthday, nothing was placed in the room. I went down to front Desk and they stated someone was placed a wine in the room, nothing was placed and we spent two nights there. Secondly the room: I was not satisfied one bit with the room, one of the stove holes wasn't working, the room didnt give any information pertaining to the restaurant number or nothing. When you dial zero it was ALWAYS busy. In my mast two staycations I always stayed in a deluxe room and this time we stayed in a superior and it was the worst room. For being there three times we should've never been treated that way. And I am surely not going to return again.
We have stayed here many times on our annual trips to Barbados, the staff are fantastic, the location is perfect for us, walking distance to everything. The views from every room is priceless with a great little beach area and lots of loungers available. The only complaint for us is there wasn't a room available for our trip this month!
