The Meridian Inn is a small intimate hotel located just off the world renown St. Lawrence Gap. We are located 50 yards from the Casurina beach and most of our rooms have a view of the Ocean. We are a short walking distance to the heart of The Gap and all its restaurants and nightlife, but still in the quiet side of The Gap.

Somewhat walkable
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
A reasonably good location, a few hundred metres from Dover Beach Hotel and a short walk from Dover Market convenience store and the bars and restaurants of St Lawrence Gap. A short walk from Dover Beach. No pool or amenities.
Our room was large and fairly basic and showed signs of wear and tear – it would certainly benefit from a lick of paint. Cooling was taken care of by a wall mounted AC split unit plus a ceiling fan.
Hot water was always available in the bathroom (which didn't have AC). The kitchenette was useful – we prepared our own breakfast and coffee to keep our costs low.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful, answering questions on bus routes and providing change.
This is a 'what you see is what you get' kind of hotel. For us the basic feel was a good trade off for the reasonable (by Barbados standards) room rate. We have booked for our next visit.

The Meridian Inn is a very comfortable and well equipped hotel a few minutes from Dover Beach and the famous and lively St. Lawrence Gap. There are several cafes, restaurants, bars and a supermarket very close by. Taxis and buses are always available along the quiet local road outside. It’s not a fancy hotel, but it has everything you need and the rooms are spotlessly cleaned every day. The rooms each have a large balcony with a table and chairs. The big fridge meant I could keep my costs down by having breakfast in my apartment and keeping drinks nice and cold with a constant supply of ice. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, always happy to help out. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This hotel was exactly what we needed. From the beginning the service over the telephone was outstanding. Everyone was super helpful and kind over the phone. A special mention to Graham who arranged our taxi with Colin aka Taximan 246. Colin was right on time and took us safely to and from the airport. He was an amazing driver. We even hired him for other occasions. The staff in general was always wearing a smile and let me tell you CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. The rooms were spotless and bed was comfortable. We were right on the Gap which made moving around even easier. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that isn't looking for luxury but is just needing a very warm clean reasonably priced accommodation in Barbados and on the St Lawrence Gap. I Will certainly return. Thank you for having us and I look forward to seeing you again. Xoxo Nicole & Trevor

So to be completely honest, when I booked this, I didn’t realise that I was booking an apartment rather than a hotel.
It was basic but clean and had sufficient facilities. A little kitchenette area with a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and 2 ring hob. Housekeeping can be a bit slow, there was times where I had to tell them not to bother as I was back after being out for almost the whole day and they still hadn’t cleaned.
The location is good with many eating places within walking distance and a little supermarket close by.
Overall it was ok, nothing special, but a reasonable cheaper option.

We booked one night after a week at Sandals Barbados, which is practically next door and shares the same beach. Public access to that beach is through a small alley next to another hotel but is very convenient.
We were greeted by friendly hosts. Michelle carried our bags to our kitchenette room. It was spacious and clean and had a small balcony. If we craned our necks we could even see the ocean. :)
We appreciated the full refrigerator with ice as well as the stove and kettle for coffee which we brought ourselves.
The stairs to the second floor were locked and we felt quite secure. It was quiet except for the early rooster crows, which is to be expected anywhere on the island. The Gap restaurant/shopping area is a 10-minute walk away.
Great value for a basic room and a short stopover.

Ok off the bat the Meridian Inn is basic accommodation but spotlessly clean and well looked after and well managed. It may be basic accommodation but everything you would need is provided.
Friendly helpful staff, we're loving our stay.
I didn't want a resort hotel and resort standard restaurants and bars, this delivers in spades, situated in a quite, peaceful area, yet under 5 minutes walk to the bars and restaurants, perfect for our needs. The accommodation is literally 1 min from the beautiful beach.
I wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

Staying at the Meridian Inn situated quiet end of the gap near to Sandals Resort. Rooms are spotless and clean linen towels daily and great quality. The bed is one of the comfiest beds ever. Graham the proprietor is so so helpful with a great customer setvice approach to any thing we’ve asked for. Will definitely stay here again, a traditional Bajan hotel with charm.

My husband and I stayed here during quarantine and we had a very pleasant experience. Each of the rooms has a balcony/ patio so we felt like we were able to 'go outside' and get some fresh air. The rooms are clean and amenities are provided. There's also a cooking area in the rooms so you're able to cook if you don't want to /can't afford to eat restaurant food every night. The staff at reception are friendly and extremely helpful. I'd definitely stay there again and I highly recommend it.
