This is a lovely and friendly hotel overlooking the harbour in Kos town. Buffet style breakfast,served 7-10 everyday. Rooms cleaned beautifully every day, aircon at no extra cost. Good sized pool with a pool bar tended by the amazing Julia. Wi-fi available but a little slow at times. All in all, great value, great location for exploring Kos town.

I booked this hotel for its location and the views of the harbour and I wasn’t disappointed, check in was easy enough and yes the room was dated but had everything that I needed for my stay including a fridge to keep drinks cold and I was lucky to have a room with a side view of the harbour. The pool area looked well kept but the water to cold for a swim. Breakfast was a real treat you could pick from continental buffet and add scrambled eggs, sausages or bacon. The views from the terrace are fantastic. Yes there is a small school next door and you can hear the children playing outside not a issue for me as I was out exploring after breakfast Unfortunately due to the Greek lockdown being imposed TUI moved myself and other guests to the all inclusive Blue Lagoon hotel after only 3 nights stay at the Astron so my holiday didn’t go as planned. Lovely staff and great stay at the Astron I will return I recommend taking bus 5 to the Therma (hot mineral bath) remember a towel and swim suit! See photo with cat.…

A great little hotel in a fantastic location. We found the rooms to be dated and in need of a refurb,(hence only 4 star score). it was the noisiest bed we've slept on! but they were comfortable enough with plenty of storage, a small fridge, a kettle and complimentary toiletries. There is free wi-fi but we found it was a poor signal in our room. Due to covid, breakfast like everywhere else we have been in Greece is limited, but there was enough to eat, and the view from the terrace made up for any short comings in choice, plus there are plenty of restaurants/cafes close by if you are wanting an full english breakfast. We tried the snacks (pizza, sandwiches etc) here from the pool bar and found these to be very tasty and good value. The pool area was very clean, plenty of sunbeds and a nice place to chill and relax. All the staff we met were extremely polite and friendly and are a credit to this hotel. Location is fantastic, with the harbour and marina to the right and a 5/10 minute walk to the left takes you to the beach and bars/restaurants overlooking the sea. We would highly recommend this comfortable hotel for a stay in Kos Town.…

This is a typical friendly Greek hotel where the staff all do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are dated and basic but we were quite happy with this because of the overall atmosphere in the hotel- and for what we paid! There is a small fridge in the room and a hairdryer. Safety deposit boxes are available in the foyer for a small charge. The hotel is spotless and the fluffy white towels are changed daily. Breakfast isn’t overly exciting but adequate and the view from the terrace across the bay is simply beautiful. It is somewhere you can relax and the location is very convenient for the bars and tavernas in the evening. Andrea in reception organised car hire for us - it was delivered to the hotel and they have private parking space at the rear. The pool area is quiet and if your room is at the back of the hotel provides a nice view when lit up in the evening. We would definitely come back here as it has the best location in Kos town . …

We stayed at the Astron for 28 days in October & then booked for a further 14 days when the season was extended into November. Such a friendly hotel. Breakfast had a good choice & portions were huge if you wanted it. Rooms were very clean, a credit to housekeeping. A little dated maybe but not an issue. We asked if we could have a kettle to make tea in the morning & we were given a kettle, no problem. The sunbeds were cleaned after each guest left them, all credit to Anna. We were moved to another hotel, all inclusive, when Greece went into lockdown, but we are missing the homely feel of the Astron & will definitely be back when we can. So many lovely restaurants nearby, everything literally on your doorstep. Would definitely recommend.
