My stay at the Bruce Resort was nothing far from perfect! Upon arrival I was greeted with cold face towels and a complimentary glass of cold refreshing calamansi juice. Exactly what I needed after a long and sweaty journey. The receptionist girls were incredibly helpful and friendly, answering any questions I had about my stay. The grounds are beautiful with an amazing beach where there was a breathtaking sunset every evening! I stayed in an Aircon room which had a balcony where I could see out to the sparkling ocean. I have no complaints from my stay here. Attentive staff, lovely facilities, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Thank you to all the staff at the Bruce for such a pleasant stay. I will definitely be returning here on my next stay in Siquijor!

The resort was ok to stay at. We had an issue with our room due to sewage smells so had to be moved rooms, charged extra then. The restaurant was really good and the food and drink were good and the staff were all friendly. Located in a good area and lots of places to eat and drink.

We were suposed to be located at the Coral Cay Resort, but for overbooking reasons we finally staied at The Bruce, and how lucky we were! This resort is a very calm and peaceful place, extremly clean rooms and comfy bed. The bathrooms are clean aswell, maybe they could be modernized, as they are a bit old, but for what you pay, it’s just perfect! We spend one night in a standard room for 1000PHP and one night in a bungalow with sea views for 1500PHP. Very friendly and helpful staff. We made the laundry by our own, and they were so kind to let us hang the clothes at the laundry area for free. Its a very well located place, in fornt of the best beach here in siquijor and close to all touristic spots.

We spent 4 nights in a family bungalow on the beach and suffice to say that apart from the view, the rest was not that at all. We had the bungalow next to the restaurant and its kitchen, with a loud concert every evening until 10 p.m. and cooking smells in the room 24/7, not to mention the noises of setting up from 5:30 a.m. for the preparation of breakfasts... the water in the shower was hot but salty and finally the cleaning leaves something to be desired (bathroom faucet with scale, rust on the kitchen furniture...). The beach on the other hand is superb but difficult to swim at low tide

The room was nice and spacious with most of what you need. Good food with a great view and cozy restaurant.
The downside of this accommodation is the pool. It was very dirty and didn't seem to Be cleansed. Couldn't see the bottom. We didn't even dare to let the children bathe there. Another thing that drags down is water pressure in the shower and in the taps. We stayed 3 nights with only cold water and a small thin stream in the shower. They came several times to try to fix it without success. On the penultimate day, they finally got it fixed. We received a refund due to this.

In theory a great location with bungalows facing the sea but not worth it cos difficult to enjoy the experience while feral dogs control the beach barking loudly day and night. Seems like the owner encourages the takeover. Also the bungalow was tired and decrepit eg shower head cracked and peeing instead of sprinkling.

One of the most beautiful and modern resorts in the mystic island of Siquijor. It has cozy rooms and a very beautiful beach. What makes this resort extra special is its proximity to the island’s many wonderful attractions and just nearby are rows of fancy restaurants and bars.

We caught the shuttle from the port to the resort; it was easy and very convenient! Our room was cozy and clean with all the amenities you need. The balcony was a terrific place to relax before calling it a day. I loved morning strolls on the powdery soft sand at the beach. All of the staff were professional and extremely helpful.

Wonderful resort, highly recommend. Pros: clean, great staff, good location, beautiful beach. Cons-no pool (don’t believe the advertising), beach not ideal for swimming (though I wouldn’t let that deter you because it is still so breathtaking and refreshing).

We spent 7 nights in a family cottage on the beach at the Bruce. At 1800 PHP a night, it was the best quality for value we could imagine. The cottage had a huge front deck overlooking a beautiful beach, it was very clean, the beds were comfortable and there was a small kitchen. Every evening, we had the most beautiful sunsets imaginable. Breakfast was not included but could be found at the 3 restaurants across the street: The Sylvia which had great food at great prices (but wasn't always open), Barkards which had ok food at good prices and the more hip/upscale Dagsa. The Sylvia and Dagsa seemed to be linked with the Bruce. We could not find the Bruce on internet to reserve so just sent an email to thebrucesiquijor@yahoo.com. It was a smooth process. Some friends were also able to reserve via madbookings. On site, laundry was cheap and efficient and scooter rentals were easy to arrange at 350 PHP per day. Our only criticism was the weakness of the shower and that the cottage was not cleaned during our stay (rooms are self catering). We had a wonderful time at the Bruce and on Siquijor. Don't miss it!
