I stayed here for 3 nights and it was a brilliant base to explore Zurich and see the Christmas markets. The room was spacious and warm and had everything that was needed, including a large bathroom, safe and fridge As for the hotel itself, it is a wonderful concept supporting young adults and giving them the opportunity of employment. All staff we met and spoke to were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental and delicious. Always had enough choice. We also popped into the restaurant for lunch once and the food was excellent. Location wise, this worked for us as a tram stop was 2 minutes from the hotel and you could be most places in 30mins. The airport is also 20 mins by the same tram I would definitely recommend staying here whilst in Zurich.

Stayed in Zwiback for about a month when moved to work at Empa (and also for 2 nights in winter). It was a very good experience for both a short and long stay.
The hotel is 5-10 minutes of walking from Empa and Eawag, and is very close to the 12 tram station (which takes you for ~20 min to the airport, 5 minutes to Stettbach railway station, from which you can take a train to Zurich center- just two stations).
The hotel is combined with a bistro, where the hotel guests have their breakfast and also where the staff office is located. The hotel rooms are in a separate wing of the Zwiback multi-apartment building complex.
The room was clean, spacious, had a balcony and also had a small fridge. [Having s small kettle in the room would make a difference, especially for colder season stays- my recommendation for the staff as a possible enhancement.] I stayed at the 5th floor, so that I had an amazing view to the mountains at a far sight.
The hotel staff is very-very kind and helpful. Especially I would like to mention Daniela, Miriam and Melanie, who are absolutely amazing!!!

For 4 days trip . 20 minute away from Zurich. On the high way so you can hear some noise car during night. Limited resource . Nice room but not so occupied Need to night service and some one to show you rooms

We stayed here for two nights. The hotelreception is a bit difficult to find, about the environment I was prepared, did some research about public transport nearby the hotel. The room was very nice; clean, spaceous, modern, good shower. We slept right next to the noisy road, through the frontdoor we had a lot of traffic noise, also because of the rain. Luckely we had earplugs. The beds and cussions were not so comfortable for us so we slept not that good. Friendly staff and helpfull. Overall good hotel but noisy because of the traffic and playing children in the late afternoon.

Stayed here recently and it was a weird experience. First of all the taxi driver had such a hard time finding this place . Secluded area with nothing near by And once we got there we entered into a restaurant with our luggage which was weird and the check in happened in said restaurant. After check in we were shown the way to the hotel room which was in a different building and was a few minute walk in rocky grounds. The room was spacious but had nothing. No robes or slippers or lotion or soap. Also the bathroom had no hooks to hang clothes which was annoying. Also the rooms don't have phones so if you happen to need something you have to trek all the way to the restaurant and ask. Beds were comfortable though. Come breakfast and it was literally cereal , yogurt , and/or a croissant. All in all it was okay but I'd rather stay somewhere else.

While it was a little tricky to find the parking and the actual hotel, the people in the Bistro answered my questions and gave me all the info I needed. First of all, listing says parking "nearby" which I didn't know how to interpret. Parking garage is across from the Bistro and there are three spots on the ground floor marked with a sign forZwiback. They are numbers 11,12 and 31 (if my memory serves me). The hotel itself is the 6 story building next door. You go to the right of the Bistro entrance, around the ramp for bicicyles but not up the ramp, playground on the right. There is an entrance there for Zimmer (Rooms). It's very easy once you know what to do. Breakfast was a buffet of meats and cheeses as well as breads, croissants, yogurts, cereals. Includes coffee and even Nutella for the breads.

Great spot with an industrial feel. We arrived during their shutdown but were still able to seamlessly, self-check in. The room is clean and fresh and a little noisy so close to the road, but the convenient location more than makes up for it. The restaurant is unfortunately closed but we knew this when we booked. We will be back.

Everyone knows that staying in a hotel in Zurich is phenomenally expensive, especially with the continued strength of the Swiss Franc. So finding an alternative that is relatively close to the airport and centre of Zurich, but is much cheaper, is a real find. Although slightly out of the way, the saving on the room rate makes staying here worth it.
This is not a conventional hotel, but a restaurant, and nearby in a housing block, many individual small apartments, each with their own front door and access. It is run as a foundation, as it employs persons with some disability. But their service is wonderful. They have been so well trained.
The rooms are quite large, and are well equipped and functional.
Highly recommended as a cheaper alternative in Zurich.

A very nice place to stay for either leisure or business, very close to the Dübendorf industry and research facilities (e.g. EMPA and EAWAG). Stayed there for 2 nights whilst at a workshop nearby, would definitely recomnend the place. The staff is very nice, helpful and make you feel at home. Their English is perfect as well! The breakfast is amazing, ham&cheese with fresh bread and croissant, or fruit and home made müsli, if you'd like. Karin, thank you very much for a lovely stay:)
