I did not use the dive center which is down the road about 100 meters. The restaurant is popular and has some of the cutest and nicest employees I met in Moalboal, although upon checking in over charged me 40 pesos for 2 sodas. I refused to eat there again during my 4 night stay. I did not even eat the free breakfast as stealing is not tolerable. They lost my trust so missed out on all my business and tips too. The hotel room is the worst I have ever stayed in. I was in the Whale Shark room. It is not up to foreigner standards. In the bathroom, you have to put your used paper in a basket instead of flushing. You will smell your own poop, 3 meters away while you sleep. They did not change the poop basket at all during my 4 night stay. The floor in the bathroom also tilted away from the drain so there was a constant puddle of dirty water on the floor, so you had to put your shoes on to use the toilet. I saw no hotel maids on the property and no one ever supplied clean towels. It is total dump that should be avoided. The room did have a working A/C, safe and refrigerator. Wifi was only working in the resto area. There are many better options in Moalboal for you to enjoy.…
Fair price for a clean room right next to the ocean. Please note that in the AC room you have to pay for the AC. We were never uncomfortably hot without it, the ceiling fan worked well. The staff helped us plan out which methods of transportation to take to get to our next destination, which we really appreciated. This was the second time staying here for one of us. The nightly drinking lottery is a blast as well. Highly recommended!
We stayed here for 5 nights. Our stay was very comfortable. Located only metres from the waters edge where you can enjoy fantastic snorkeling with turtles and sardines (no tour required) Our airconditioned room booked through agoda didnt actuall include airconditioning, that was an extra 300 pesos a day, very steep price so opted not to use. The included breakfast was great. Wifi was hit and miss in the room but worked okay in the restaurant, although not fast. The restaurant menu has lots of tasty and well priced options. The hotel organised a transfer between Cebu airport for 2800 pesos.
Fantastic relaxing hotel with bar and restaraunt very friendly staff from the manager to the cleaning ladies Only booked 3 nights so wanted to extend another 4..i knew it was busy but they went out of their way to be sure to accomodate me Not overpriced to eat and drink.. san miguel light around 1 euro and the portions of food??? not for the faint hearted..asked for a burger and it came..i managed half and took the rest for a snack is was that big definateley return here next time
Stayed here for 3 nights in December in a ground floor double room (seahorse). Fairly budget accommodation but has everything you need - fridge, safe, hot shower as well as a little outside patio looking out to their garden. The room was clean and had a fan and air con. It has a good location, a short 5min walk to the centre of Moalboal meaning your close enough without being in the thick of it! Would stay here again.
The rooms are simple but comfy, the bathroom is spacious. Nice place to come back after a long day of diving. The food is tasty, the service is nice. Ample options are available for the complementary breakfast, all of them very nice. I wouldn’t think twice staying again with them.
I stayed at the resort for 4 nights and i was very happy with my choice. The rooms were spacious and clean and i was really suprised with the complimentary breakfast they served. Usually you get 2 eggs a slice of bacon and toast. Here i got quite a few thick slices of apparently homemade bacon with homemade bread and brewed coffee - delicious :) The location is near the beach and very close to all restaurants and diveshops. I can definitly recommend this place as it´s really great value!
Stayed here again on a dive and sleep package. We stayed in the “Mandarin Fish” (aka Room 9), which is on the 2nd floor and very newly renovated. Nothing beats coming home to a clean room with new fittings after a long tiring day of diving! I also really loved the food at the restaurant. Portions are quite decadent, so come hungry. They smoke their own ham and bacon, which tastes sooo good! They also put their magical ham in their omelettes. Also, their toast isn’t your usual sliced white bread. I think it’s milk bread that they source elsewhere. It’s super delicious if you like your bread sweeter. Would stay here again!
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. The resortitself was very nice: spacious room, nice balcony, clean bathroom and amazing food. the staff were truly friendly and made our stay redlly pleasant! We also love the position of the hotel, which wasn't right in the centre, but a bit away fom it, so as to enojy a good night's sleep! Their diving resort, close to the hotel, is also TOP.
First and foremost you need to carefully check your bill when it comes time to pay. The gals behind the bar will scribble some numbers on a slip of paper and try to blow it by you. On our first three visits here the charges were considerably higher than they should have been. By the forth visit they’d recognized that I wasn’t to be ripped off and everything was fine thereafter. The wait staff here are excellent - fast and efficient. Try the chili, garlic shrimp and/or the eggplant and coconut sauce. They’re both very good. Cocktails here are a little shaky. Best to stop by Lantaw for before dinner drinks.
