Had a great stay in this new built hostel with very friendly staff!

Glad I spent New Years here and not in Cebu. Hangover hostel had a whole pig (Lechon) and provided everyone with free food and drinks to celebrate 2020. Free rum and coke everyday, as usual in the Philippines.

The beds are really sturdy and comfy. Only thing missing were lamps by the beds but they were on to it already when we gave feedback (since they had only been open for 2 weeks) so by the time I’m writing this review lamps are probably already installed. Make sure to tell the staff not to let ANY fat guy set the room temperature to 18 degrees when going to sleep though. Slept with a jacket and jeans my first night..

However, the staff is great and helpful, and I met a lot of new traveller friends during my stay here. Vibe was really good so I extended my stay everyday for like 4 days.

Location is nearby a motorbike rental. Good to know if all bikes at the hostel are all rented out already. And by bike, it’s a 3-5 minutes drive to the Chili bar area where most people spend their nightlife.

Definitely coming back here! (P.S. Do the sardine dive)

I had an amazing experience at Hangover! All the staff is very friendly and helpful. The bed is very confortable and has a curtain so you can sleep very well. The toilet is separate from the shower, so it doesn't get busy. They have free rum and coke at some point of the night and everybody gets together. I recommend this hostel!

I Arrived at the hostel after 11 hours travelling, paid for a taxi/trike from the bus stop to the hostel and when I arrived I was told they had no space! I was then offered a partner hostel which I kindly refused. I was refunded for the stay but no considerations taken into the time I spent travelling or the cost to get to the hostel. The property made no effort to contact me via booking.com (who I made the reservation with) or the number I provided. I get this is not a 4* hotel but some simple courtesy and manners could have save me money and time wasted. Luckily I walked around the corner and another hostel. POOR

I loved my getaway to hangover hostel. I decided to take a jump and leave for a solo vacation and this place made everything so wonderful. 0 stress, tons of comfort, safety and FUN.

Food was absolutely amazing and probably the most fresh, authentic resort food I have ever had!

Free rum and coke everyday, laundry services with tons of assistance and help, very kind staff.

AC, hot showers, clean crisp bedding, clean stay - just so many good things about this place and I can't wait to come back next year!

Pretty good hostel. Nice hosts, helpful and welcoming.
Were here for one night, really nice beds and even though it’s a ‘party-hostel’ I was able to sleep early because the dorms provide some “soundproofness”.
+ for the people enjoying a rhum&coke before bed: it’s free untill they’re out of it :-D

Clean rooms, with aircon to keep us comfortable through the hot days and nights.

Very engaging staff who help curate a fun experience. All of the patrons there were very social, and had a great time getting to know everyone!

The hostel is still under construction but still is a great stay!

This was a great accommodation to check out the sardines and water fall. They set me up with the tours. In the evening they had family dinner/boodle fight with free jungle juice.

Place was very clean. Rooms were air conditioned.
The plants made the whole place look beautiful.

Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
I finally got a chance to experience the culture of Cebu.
