I stayed here as it was the location for a Filipino Martial Arts training camp. It was the perfect location not only for the camp but also for its amenities, hospitality, location and price.
We arrived late at night, after midnight, and a security guard let us into our rooms. I shared a Family room with two queen beds with one of my students. The room was so large that we both had a lot of privacy. The air conditioner was a little loud, but other than that it was very comfortable. Only thing is wish is that they had wifi in the rooms.

The daily complimentary breakfasts were good. They offered both Filipino and American. What we really enjoyed with their Davao brewed coffee. It was the best coffee we drank throughout our entire trip. The dinner selections were also very good. The open-air dining area was very clean and nice. Service was efficient and friendly .

The resort offered a big clean pool, billiard table, lounge chairs and help with tours or renting motor bikes. It was was about 1 mile from busy Pagnasama Beach. This was a good round trip jog for me in the mornings. Along the way I would see normal life among the local residents.

All n all I would come back here again.

Positives: Stayed five nights. The resort is blissfully quiet. Easy fifteen minute stroll to town for dinner each night. Breakfasts at the hotel are very good. Snorkeling straight out to the coral wall drop-off from the resort is easy. (At low tide use the sidewalk two properties to the south.) Compared to Thailand, Mexico, Honduras etc., some of the best snorkeling we have experienced in the past 40 years. So many new kinds of fish!, turtles, snakes (banded sea kraits) etc... Poppey and all the staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. Beds are quite good. Hot water in showers. Great value for the money. Take extra care not to damage the coral or harass the marine wildlife. Think about future generation's enjoyment of what it there now.

Improvements: Chairs around the property are all quite uncomfortable. Pool is nice although they overdo the chlorine quite a bit. We asked them to dial it back. An electric tea kettle in the room would be nice to make instant coffee/tea.

This is a great resort, quite with good size rooms. The staff were wonderful and breakfast each morning was scrumptious. The pool is well maintained and the cleanest we have found in Philippines.
It’s only a 10 minute walk to the town, restaurants and noisy bars.
Highly recommended.

I stayed this hotel with my wife and daughter. Our room rate was cheap enough to compare with the spaciousness and the cleanness. This hotel seemed not having diving shop, although had a great snorkeling spot in front of it. I could meet with some sea turtles in every going snorkeling, so I was crazy about to do it. I recommend this hotel to the people who want to relax under quietness and go snorkeling whenever you want without boat.

I initially thought this resort was around 20 years old given the encroaching ambience of neglect, but apparently it only opened in 2006. The management / owners are conspicuously absent, appearing only periodically to troubleshoot on the smallest of scales, or just stroll around the grounds. They exhibit a disarming nonchalance - there was very little interaction with anyone, including guests. Staff do their best in these strained circumstances but many are distant and unmotivated, and there are clearly some serious communication issues at play. Everything closes at 9pm sharp, and on one day they closed at 7.45 due to a staff Xmas party. The next day they closed at 8. On both occasions we were only informed an hour or two beforehand. The menu is limited, but food well-presented and decent. There’s a daily lottery on availability, and they even ran out of water once – bad news, as not even small bottles are provided free in the rooms. The most expensive 'Seaview' rooms offer only a distant view of the sea; beyond the claustrophobic pool, toilets, restaurant, reception, 'games room’ (a woefully-neglected billiards table), and internal road and pathway network, which offers little privacy. This is a shame, as the verandas are big, breezy, and comfortably furnished. Right next door to Bonita we discovered a lovely, atmospheric and impeccably-run little resort called Da Cozy, offering all the serenity, privacy and attention to detail I was hoping for. Gallingly, it was no more expensive either. They have just 5 (genuine seaview) rooms and a ban on large groups, which is a feature at Bonita – the last two days heralded a group so vast and invasive the pool and ‘games room’ were pretty much off limits, and they even managed to run out of chairs in the restaurant. For a short stay, and good access to dive sites (NB: this is not a dive resort), Bonita may suffice - but avoid long term. The numerous New Age self-help books by reception say it all - you need the patience of a zen master to stay here.

Book this hotel under booking.com , The first time we arrive, a very rude receptionist met us. Followed by a series of disappointing things I find in the resort, 1. the place looks deceiving in picture, the restaurant is so run down, the table covers are so dirty, the pool which appears big on pictures was so small and so dirty, there is no parking whatsoever because they maximise the place only for hotel bungalows. To top this , the receptionist acts like she sells fish from the market, she is so rude, no smile, and even from the phone when we ask for direction she was not of help. and They did not even allow us to pay for extra person because they say the room is just for 3, in short they turn as away...Well good riddance, I was happy they turn us away, I couldnt, imagine staying there for 4 days anyway, . I would be depress on my vacation, I will never recommend this place to our guest. The receptionist does not know of course that I own a travel and tour agency.

Response from Bonita658, Owner at Bonita Oasis Beach Resort

Hi Marie, I am sorry that we didn't manage to help you. You book only 3 (2 premium and 1 economy )rooms from Booking.com, but when you came to Resort you was all together 17 persons. Because of the Holy week, we was fully booked and could not offer you more rooms. Another feedback about the dirty pool and table cloths. I check that pool cleaning is working and we have always clean table cloths available. Yours, Kari Kangas

We were at this hotel in December Christmas 2010.
This hotel is writing away from the town, but it no problem, but just ask the staff to get you a trick, it costs 15 pesos per person, but otherwise rent a small scooter, so you can to inside in the city at 5 min.
Resorted is nicely clean and well kept, the food is good, there is breakfast included in price
The staff is friendly and very helpful.
There a very cheap in Moalmboal.
We had a really good week here

Bonita accommodates everyone!
Lovely views on the sea front and a lovely pool area! Only criticism we had was the beach is about a ten minute drive and at night the streets are dinjy and dark! It wasn’t nice to walk however you can get on a trike for about 80 peso which takes 5 minutes but walking time is about 20 minutes through dark streets but overall the hotel was great

Me and my girlfriend stayed at bonita for 6 nights and had a really good time. Its peaceful and quiet and not that far from pagnasama beach. They even had a car who drove us to pagsama when we wanted. Clean rooms and good overall service. They also have a transfer to mactan airport for only 2500 php.
