Positives: Stayed five nights. The resort is blissfully quiet. Easy fifteen minute stroll to town for dinner each night. Breakfasts at the hotel are very good. Snorkeling straight out to the coral wall drop-off from the resort is easy. (At low tide use the sidewalk two properties to the south.) Compared to Thailand, Mexico, Honduras etc., some of the best snorkeling we have experienced in the past 40 years. So many new kinds of fish!, turtles, snakes (banded sea kraits) etc... Poppey and all the staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. Beds are quite good. Hot water in showers. Great value for the money. Take extra care not to damage the coral or harass the marine wildlife. Think about future generation's enjoyment of what it there now. Improvements: Chairs around the property are all quite uncomfortable. Pool is nice although they overdo the chlorine quite a bit. We asked them to dial it back. An electric tea kettle in the room would be nice to make instant coffee/tea.…
I stayed here as it was the location for a Filipino Martial Arts training camp. It was the perfect location not only for the camp but also for its amenities, hospitality, location and price. We arrived late at night, after midnight, and a security guard let us into our rooms. I shared a Family room with two queen beds with one of my students. The room was so large that we both had a lot of privacy. The air conditioner was a little loud, but other than that it was very comfortable. Only thing is wish is that they had wifi in the rooms. The daily complimentary breakfasts were good. They offered both Filipino and American. What we really enjoyed with their Davao brewed coffee. It was the best coffee we drank throughout our entire trip. The dinner selections were also very good. The open-air dining area was very clean and nice. Service was efficient and friendly . The resort offered a big clean pool, billiard table, lounge chairs and help with tours or renting motor bikes. It was was about 1 mile from busy Pagnasama Beach. This was a good round trip jog for me in the mornings. Along the way I would see normal life among the local residents. All n all I would come back here again.…
We had 6 nights here, this was the last part of a 3.5 week holiday, having been previously to Bohol and Oslob we were expecting great things. The hotel was almost twice the price of other hotels stayed at in this time. It's really not worth the money, the food prices are good but a beer is nearly twice the price of any hotel we stayed at 95 peso. There is no bar, just a fridge to help yourself and pay at reception. It's pretty soulless to be honest. Pool is fine and the sea great for snorkelling at high tide otherwise you will struggle to get out the 50m or so to be able to swim. Not a lot about in walking distance and a trike into town is 300 peso return. Nothing to do at night except go to the local village, turn right off the bumpy track onto the main road and walk 10-15 mins and you will find places to eat and drink there. Wouldn't return to this area or hotel. Rooms are old and unless you get an executive room at more expense you will have no view of the poll beach etc, the main rooms are sat way back almost in a compound setup. …
We visited for lunch and didn't disappoint! We ordered pepperoni pizza and pancit canton. The pizza was nice and hot fresh from the oven. The pancit was generously served with kalamansi. Highly recommended!!!
We had one night at Bonita Oasis Beach Resort, and it was lovely. Only a few slight issues, because there were a lot of tiny ants in our room, as well as the aircon being too loud. Besides this, it was a great stay with a lovely pool and great food. Would definitely recommend if you want something about out of town and more relaxing!
Room #12. The family room with two King size beds. Breakfast for 4. 1. Air conditioning: good 2. Swimming pool: clean 3. Sea Water: clean 4. Breakfast: Very Satisfying. 4 different choices W/coffee or juice. Filipino or American Breakfast. Sorry, no Canadian breakfast... Joking. 5. Staff: pleasant and helpful. 6. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights while in moalboal with two friends one from the uk like me and one from Sydney. We had a blast the hotel is clean the food is good the staff are good fun and hard working especially the bar staff they start there day serving breakfast at 7 and work the bar and cooking for the restaurant till 11 at night. The hotel is a bit out of town but they have transport to get you into town so it's not a problem. If you stay here the chillie and garlic chicken is fantastic . The sunsets seem to be amazing every night aswell
Bonita accommodates everyone! Lovely views on the sea front and a lovely pool area! Only criticism we had was the beach is about a ten minute drive and at night the streets are dinjy and dark! It wasn’t nice to walk however you can get on a trike for about 80 peso which takes 5 minutes but walking time is about 20 minutes through dark streets but overall the hotel was great
