The hostel is a really cozy place close to the best beach in Moalboal. You can lend snorkels here and look for turtles at the shore. Babu is so nice and makes you feel at home.
We ended up staying here for a whole week during a typhoon and Babu took care of us the whole time.
Really recommend this place!

Such lovely hosts, Babu made us feel so welcome and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She even gave us a lift to the bus stop herself and made sure we got on the right bus to our next destination. Thank you so much!

You won't find a nicer, more hospitaple host in all Moalboal. Babu really cares about her guest.
It's not perfect, but she will go out of her way to please you.
And by the way, she went to architectural school, designed and built this hostel with her own hands!

Stayed with Babu and the fam last month for three nights and it was lovely. The staff are welcoming, helpful and generally really friendly. They gave great recommendations for food, diving, sunset etc. You get what you pay for, so this is definitely a budget place, but it's quiet and not in the thick of things down on the beach, which I preferred, even though that meant a ~10 min walk to the main area. Thanks Babu!

My boyfriend and I initially liked this hostel, rooms and bathrooms were very basic but comfortable and felt clean enough.
However we rented a scooter from the owner which seemed to be faulty so after the first day we explained what was wrong and asked to exchange it for a different one (we still wanted to rent a scooter but not the faulty one), this was met with a slightly hostile response which then seemed to remain for the rest of our stay. We also had some laundry done through the hostel which came back stained with bleach (I very much hope this had nothing to do with the bike!!). Then to top it all off we were asked to pay extra for the first bike because it apparently didn’t have enough petrol in when we brought it back despite having been given to us with no petrol in whatsoever! Such a shame because this hostel had potential to be nice but we ended up leaving feeling quite uncomfortable.

I stayed here for 5 nights and loved hanging out with Babu and April, always up for a chat and a drink. Met some cool travelers here and went out for a few days exploring on scooters that we rented from the hostel. Babu's place is coming along together nicely and she's always having work done to improve the place, its a work in progress and will keep on getting better and better with time.
Thanks for the great time.

It's one of the best hostel I've ever been. Good share areas where you can relax, play your music in their speakers and the staff is so nice, kind and really good people. I really enjoyed my time there, I'll come back for sure there.

I've been twice already in babu backpackers inn. it is very nice place to stay in moalboal, this place is quite improving and getting better than previous I've been here. nice place to have a bottle of beer and hanging out to other travellers. they also offer some tour around the best tourist spot.

We booked this place as we read a review saying it was in a good location. It was a 15 min walk to the main area of restaurants, the beach where the sardine run was etc. This is annoying having to do this in the heat back and forth, then the same if you wanted food. Tricycle driver charge 100/150p as well for the 2 min ride. Rip off! So now about the dorm room itself. Pretty cramped, shower was horrible. See my photo. Cold and never been cleaned. The walls are paper/bamboo thin so the staff all sit and talk so loudly right outside the room so sleeping is not an option. There was a building site outside so that didn’t help. There are better places nearer the front so I would suggest staying there. On a plus the staff were friendly but that’s not enough to stay here
