It's more than a perfect accommodation. The staff will not treat you as a guest, but as a family. Hospitality, accommodating staff, you name it, more than a 5-star hotel. Kudos to ate Badin and kuya night shift and to the owner Sir Werner & Ms. Hannah. Experience is really unforgettable and will surely refer to my friends and family. God Speed Roos Guesthouse ❤️❤️❤️🌊🌅🎉🎊

We enjoyed our stay at Roo’s guesthouse and would recommend it to others staying in Moalboal Pros: -The guesthouse is excellently located - a short walk from Panagsama beach and a lot of restaurants -Drinking water available -Varied breakfast selection included -Good WIFI and AC -Outside areas to chill in -Twin room was clean and fairly comfortable (though note that it was a bunk bed), towels provided What could have been better: -The bathroom is very small, the shower gets everything wet - though the water pressure is great and the water is warm -Often there was loud music from neighbouring places late at night or early in the morning -Pancake breakfast isn’t good, get another option :)

Hi Faith, Thank you for your review and mentioning all our plus points.... About the things what could be better: I agree the bathroom is small, as when we started this guesthouse the building was already built. But we compensate that as you already mentioned with a hot/cold shower and good waterpressure...in our 2e guesthouse what is opening soon and we are building ourselves, the bathroom will have a separate shower. Unfortunately Philippines is a noicy country and sometimes our neighbours get a bit crazy with their music. Luckely nowadays it's only sometimes as we keep complaining ofcourse. About the pancakes I need to check what is wrong as we normally got very good reviews about our delicious pancakes.....so I will check that. Enjoy the rest of your holiday ❤ Werner, Hanna, staff and the kitty cats

We didn’t stay here but used them for trips. The owner is always on site and very very helpful and will respond to emails promptly. Place looked very in order and is a great location to stay for western guests. We met people staying here who said it was good and reasonably priced. Really nice place, good value and we wish we had stayed here. The kittens were lovely to!

I booked a stay at Roos and was very disappointed, room was really small and very very hot, opening the window meant you could hear all the noise from reception and the really loud building work from Chinese restaurant across the road. Booked three nights stay but left the next morning because off noise. Hand on heart one off the most disappointing places I've stayed in for the price I paid in twenty years off travelling. Plus my booking got deleted from booking.com as soon as I left making it impossible to write any sort off review Stay somewhere else there's loads off better quieter places to stay in moalboal.

Hi, Unfortunately its impossible that your booking in booking.com gets deleted when you check out, even if you having a real bad experience. As booking.com will always give you the opportunity to review a place where you stayed. I'm very open for bad reviews and we always want to learn from criticism, but this review smells too much to somebody not staying with us at all, but just want to give us a bad review to get us down. You always welcome to email us and provide us your booking details to prove I'm wrong. ❤ Werner, Hanna and staff

Werner and Hanna made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. They are the sweetest kindest people. They really go the extra mile for each of their guest. The staff work so hard and they keep this place so organized and clean all with a smile. I actually saw Hanna vacuuming the mattress in between guests. They even dusted the top of window sills.... Wonderful breakfast, free for each guest. Brewed coffee, eggs and toast, fruit bowls, pancakes with bananas.... Best pancakes we've actually even had in Asia. The location is also perfect as its walking distance to all the restaurants and beach but in a quiet area. The sardines are walking distance from guest house and I saw a turtles each time I snorkel in this area too. But I recommend renting a bike and going to whites beach or any other area outside the town as the coral is in better shape away from the boats... Tip:. Bring some Rum and next door they have the best priced fruit smoothie at only 50 pesos. Cocktails on a budget while you relax at Rios Guesthouse.

Just had a 3 day stay at roos and it was just exactly what I needed. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and dive shops means you are close to the centre whilst also enjoying peace and quiet at night. Spotlessly clean, good breakfasts and incredibly attentive and knowledgeable staff. Thank you. Look forward to coming back.

Perfect location in Moalboal, right next to a motorbike shop and a stones throw away from the main road but far away enough to get some silence. Hannah had everything you could ask for in this little guest house. It is really great value for money and nice to see that it is run with by a bunch of friends/family. My stay was really comfortable and the room was great value but what I liked most was Hannah's hospitality. She really made me feel at home and was great to talk to! Highly recommend as a solo traveller perhaps not looking for a dorm bed and a little extra comfort.

You are treated like a king from the moment you step into Werner’s guesthouse! The rooms are spacious and clean (we had a fan room and never felt too warm). We were actually meant to be staying at Smooth Cafe but they messed up our booking and Roos guesthouse came into the save the day! (Just an FYI, I wouldn’t recommend Smooth Cafe, the rooms we saw were awful). Roos is great in that there is also a pool and a ‘mini beach’ outside if you don’t want to go to the beach. Werner can offer you advice for restaurants and how to get the ferry to your next destination or a car back to Cebu. Oh and not forgetting, the breakfast! Delicious spread of eggs, toast and the best peanut butter I’ve had on my travels. We had a few friends staying in Moalboal and Roos was definitely the best accommodation with the friendliest and most helpful staff!
