Absolutely loved it. Had eaten here on our last visit to Moalboal and came back to stay for two nights this time. The food was delicious as always - super fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden, with all sorts of international meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The bungalows are super charming with a swing and cushions on each front porch, and a very tropical outdoor bathroom. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Kiko and to the staff
Sadly we haven't actually had the chance to stay at Herbs Guest House due to the travel ban imposed by the Philippine government in response to the coronavirus outbreak. What I can say though is that the staff was really flexible and incredibly understanding of our situation in a climate where businesses are the first ones to suffer and travellers are often left out of pocket and this was greatly appreciated. The reviews I read from guest were impeccable and we will be looking forward to book our stay at Herbs Guest house as soon as we can reschedule our trip!
Me and my boyfriend traveling for 3 mounth, and for this far this was our favourite place. The owner of the place Kiko and Sabine so kind and lovely, and especially kath- one of the workers there. Helped in anything! We loved the location of the place, neer an amazing snorkling reef where you can see sea turtles and we did it really everyday it was beautiful! Also a really good and cheap resturant 3 min walking away from there. We stayed in the bungalow which was nice and clean. Really good place, hope to come back!
Stayed at Herbs for 2 nights. Would had loved to stay there additional ones if it wasn’t for that we were about to leave for another city. Friendliest place you’ll find in Moalboal and the owner Kiko is amazing. Kudos to everyone working there for an amazing trip. Big rooms with good fans. Private bathrooms and great place in between the rooms (in the garden) to socialize with other guests. Loves from Sweden, Kevin and Louise!
The owners and staff are very nice, as are their lovely dogs, and the communal area is comfortable with lots of hammocks and places to sit. There is a fridge stocked with drinks which is self service and useful, and 10P for 1 litre water refills was very good. However there are few downsides. Wifi was practically nonexistent (worse than anywhere we've been in our 5 weeks in the Philippines which is saying something). It is also quite far from the main area of restaurants etc but we werent too bothered by this (JG grill is very good nearby). What really made this a 3 was the rooms however - it was very small with very little floor space and you were able to hear everything outside (including the couple next door). The outdoor bathrooms also attracted a lot of insects. The free breakfast also only includes toast, you have to pay for any cereals or a banana. Overall, despite these drawbacks for us, we had a fairly pleasant stay.…
Not sure where to start... from the second we walked through the door we were made to feel at home, kiko and Sabine are two of the nicest people I’ve ever met! they have an amazing oasis garden surrounded by bedrooms, hammocks, bean bags, music and a fridge full of beer! the best atmosphere you could want at a guesthouse, they offer motorbike rental and all the help you could ever need about things to do in the area. you can snorkel with turtles a few minute down the road!! Marc and Helen who are working here for the next few weeks are also amazing people, very helpful and made our stay here unforgettable, we were extremely sad to leave this amazing place and can highly recommend to anyone who really wants to enjoy their stay in Moalboal.
We came to stay in Moalboal for a few days and couldn't have ended up in a better place. The guesthouse is a little oasis (just a few minutes from town and Panagsama beach area) with a relaxed vibe, hammocks, clean and comfortable rooms. The hosts are the best - full of information and anecdotes about their time travelling and living in different parts of the Philippines. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience possible - everything from little maps, coordinating waterfall trips and motorbike rentals. We ate dinner at the guest house a number of times - the food cooked by our hosts was delicious, local cuisine and always filling! We also went diving (also coordinated by our hosts!) off the local shores and it was great - lots of healthy coral, turtles and sardines. We highly recommend Herbs Guest House!…
Kiko and Sabina made you feel like home in there guesthouse. Cooking up delicious meals around there homely table and just chilling in the hammocks spending hours sharing stories and talking. One of my favorite stays so far in the Philippines. Although me and my girlfriend are not divers, many came through here and loved diving with Kiko. Over and all we loved this stay and would happily return! Thankyou for everything guys we will miss you!! ~ Austin and Ariana from Vancouver Canada
I was truly sad to leave...!! I even extended my stay here because I felt so at home and welcome with Kiko and Sabina <3 the house is beautiful, the diving is amazing, kawasan falls a must to do! The hosts; Kiko and Sabina are an amazing couple with so many cool stories and experiences to share! For sure some of the best people I've ever stayed with! Kiko is an amazing chef and dive guide, with a good sense of humor ;) Sabina is a very loving and hospitable person and is a certified dive instructor, this couple definitely know how to enjoy life and do it the right way <3 I experienced one of my favorite dives with these two, seeing Mandarin fish (!!!), 4 turtles and enjoying a beautiful wall of corals for over one hour! Kiko is very good at spotting the little things in the water so especially if you have a camera don't miss out going on a dive with him! Herbie, Stoner and Putput! Lovely dogs with a lot of heart who fit the picture perfectly! The house; Is wonderful! I honestly expected much less for the price and was very positively surprised when I saw the place, pictures don't do justice to this beautiful garden and relaxed oasis area! The rooms are clean and well set up, everything works and is fresh :) the prices for food and what not are more than reasonable, I could tell there's not much profit there, just looking after the guests :) top quality! It's not a standard in most places so these guys have really stepped it up. I could go on about my perfect stay here (8 days!) But I think you should see for yourself, and definitely won't be disappointed! THANK YOU KIKO AND SABINA FOR EVERYTHING, I WILL MISS YOU A LOT <3…
If you want a great value, chilled out oasis away from the hustle of Panagsama beach - Herbs is your place! Herbs is a small, newly opened guesthouse with an awesome relaxed vibe and clean, spacious rooms. Sabina and Kiko are amazing hosts and can help you arrange anything you need in the area (snorkel rental, canyoneering, diving, moto rental). Not close to much in the way of restaurants/bars, but don't worry - the fridge is stocked and Kiko cooks delicious, great value Filipino meals each evening which are not to be missed! We really enjoyed our time at Herbs - thanks guys for having us!
