When I arrived, I was more than a little concerned about the unpaved alley leading to the property. However, once inside, what a great place and a great value. The room was nice and the amenities were modern and reliable. Hot water was readily available and air conditioning powerful and cool. But the staff blew me away. They seemed almost like a happy go lucky group of young people, but they were so well trained! If you needed a car, they got it. Excursion, arranged. Laundry service, restaurant recommendation, anything, they were right on it like top notch concierges. Room was maintained quickly, our luggage moved for us as needed. Can’t compliment them enough. I wouldn’t expect a New York quality cocktail out of the pool bar but it was nice and well stocked. Everything else was just spot on perfect and consistent. Well done!

Moalboal is still an unspoilt area and full of local charm, the Parrot Hotel is a small piece of paradise and exceptional value. The staff are really friendly with a beautiful team of ladies running breakfast and Marielle fantastic at looking after us in the evening. The actual ‘parrots’ can be noisy in the morning but are a colourful addition to the location. Thoroughly recommend this hitel

Small resort but top value for the price you pay (and it was extremely affordable). We got excellent service from everyone: starting with the room attendants who kept our rooms pristine clean, well stocked, and feeling/smelling fresh for the 3 days/2 nights stay we had, to the reception and restaurant staff, and the welcoming owner/operator Andreas who take pains to make us feel welcomed. There are a generous amount of facilities : pool, gym, restaurant and bar , etc. The property has a solar power generation capacity that can make you feel assured that even if power goes out on a very hot and humid summer vacation, you will not be left out steaming . The pool was a nice addition, the property also have an excellent location.

The staff were warm and friendly. As we're the various parrots which called out now & then! Our room at Parrot Resort was filled with pleasant sounds (non-intrusive) from these friendly creatures!

3 of us, family, occupied a suite just above the gym. Nb. Steep stair climbing required. Adequately furnished, there's a kitchen stove but oddly, guests are not allowed to cook, not bring outside food into the room.

We managed to find a tour guide at a stall outside the hotel, called Dany's Travel, close to the beach, which had much better rates than that published in the hotel's visitor guide.

Parrot staff loaned us a towel, available from reception, for our tours (room towels not to be taken out).

We did a group tour for Whale Shark Watching, 5am departure, followed by Island Hopping at 12.30pm, private boat charter.

What a memorable experience, the highlight of our trip to Cebu!

Thank you for your review Pathfinder, we happy you enjoy your stay on our place. you welcome back here any time. Please understand the kitchen in the apartment is for long term rental when guests book a month or longer. the apartment was one of our first rooms before we made it a resort. We cannot allow cooking for 2 day bookings as the room, curtains etc will stink and the effort of cleaning the room every day will be too much.

Parrot is the ideal place to stay - it’s only a short walk down to the beach and the famous Sardine run, so many shops and amazing restaurants all along the road. We really enjoyed being able to walk everywhere easily for everything. The staff were lovely and helpful, cooked our eggs in the morning and cut up fresh fruit as part of the breakfast buffet and helped us organise a tour. The room was awesome and we can’t believe how cheap it was for a massive bed and spotlessly clean room with aircon! The resort was always super clean and quiet, with the pool a great place to cool off - and the parrots and Twinky the dog were always there for company.

We were 2 couples who stayed for 2 nights. We were well received by the staff and all the instructions were given to us on arrival. The staff were very helpful and they went out of their way to make my wife comfortable with breakfast since she's a vegan. The Bar and the seating area around it was really good and we spent couple of hours in the evening having a few beers. The massage services that they offered was really good. One of the best we have had. The only negative that i can think of is that they have caged a few parrots, which i don't think is right. I do hope they are released one day.

We stayed for 4 days. The room and the area around is clean and neat. The room is spacious even if you carry big suitcases as we did. The staff is amazing. Helpful, eager to fulfil your request, really polite.
The pool is small and at my opinion is mostly decorative.
The tent above the pool-to keep it clean from leaves etc. - is a good idea but makes it look even smaller as it smothers the area.
Be prepared for a lot of mosquitoes. Uppon arrival the staff immediately informs you. You will definitely need mosquito repellant if you don't want to chase mosquitos all night long.
The water pressure in the bathroom is annoyingly low and at our room it was impossible to regulate and stabilise the themperature. It was circulating between extremely hot and cold during the whole time we were trying to take a shower.
The rooms aren't sound proof so you hear everything. The parrots, The roosters, the guests next to you speaking. We were forced one night to poke to our neighbours because they had a lively chat at 23:00 and we had to sleep since our alarm was early in the morning. Sorry guys..
Other than that it was generally a pleasant stay mostly because of the staff.

Thank you for your review Agapikouklinou, we happy you enjoy your stay on our place. you welcome back here any time. To explain quick. The mosquitos comes mostly between 5 to 9:00 pm, and depend the weather condition and month of year. our rooms have all mosquito screen, and also a electric mosquito swatter killer racket. Sorry about the water pressure but as we living on a island we have no endles water resources, also no high presure water network, there works all with watertanks and waterpump, Also the buildings here, we living in a third world country and really outside in the province, if you want soundproof rooms, you simple book your holiday in the wrong country or then you have to book a single bungalow. I think we have really hig standards if you confirm us to all other hotels/resorts around us. regards :)

We had to check in late due to a late arrival and were immediately greeted at the gate from a warm and friendly receptionist named Michelle. She made our check in smooth and fast. We only spent 3 nights and wished we could of stayed longer. All the employees (John and Gwen to single out a couple) were very professional, friendly and full of suggestions of things to do. The resort also offered excursions and we took advantage of a couple of them. We rented a scooter from the resort that was reasonably priced and toured around the area. We loved our short stay in Moalboal and will defiantly return someday staying at this little gem. I can't forget the parrots....I wish I had one but can't commit to the next 100 years. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Parrot Resort. It is very well located for Panagsama Beach, but also setback from the road so is nice and quiet. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly with very good knowledge of the local area and activities. There is ample choice for breakfast with the option for buffet style and freshly cooked dishes. The facilities are very clean and spacious with a tidy of the room being done every day we were here. The parrots are also a humorous addition to this resort!

We are on a long trip and we have stayed at approx 80 hotels this year this hotel has some brilliant extra touches ( fresh mango in room) for Asia as well as some plus points for Asia.

What stood out for me was the smell of the towels and linen so nice and better than some 5 star hotels.

The hot and cold water dispenser in the room

The bed size and the soft mattress ( so many hard mattresses in asia)

the hotel is set back from the main road so quiet. But walking distance to the bars and restaurants and beach for snorkelling.

A range of activities and transfers are offered too.

Friendly staff

Freshly cooked eggs and bacon and other items for breakfast.

good range of drinks at the bar and WINE !!

The food at the restaurant is superb and we found much better than some restaurants in the village even though they scored well on trip advisor. Shame more people from outside don’t try the restaurant .
