A generic Filipino outing would always consist of the following: swimming in a popular pool/beach resort, fish or barbecue grilling, liquor drinking and videoke singing. I have nothing against this. It's just that it's the same routine over and over again. You go home afterwards and, except for the memories you make with your companions for that outing, you bring in nothing new, even if it's the most posh resort in town.
So a resort with a remarkable ideology which reflects in the resort, from the food (they only serve vegetarian dishes, definitely no meat), to the design (scrap materials are being used in the furniture and other decorations) and the caring and personal way they attend to their guests is very rare. Ergo, a beach resort like Ambay is rare, it's a gem. The place lived up to the true meaning of peace and quiet. Going here is like going in a retreat; no tv, no videoke, no liquors, no impersonal resort staff and most of all, no meat. Boring? For heavy meat eaters, couch potatoes, night life lovers and city noise lovers, yes, this place would be boring for them. But if you're looking for an authentic place where you can have peace and quiet by the sea, if you are a lover of arts and crafts, this place is for you. Not everyone would be up to the challenge this resort poses but, once you immerse here, you will feel rejuvenated inside and out. It's a difference experience altogether and if you allow it, you'll never forget ever getting here.

The staff on this resort is very accomodating and helpful to our needs but all the rooms are hot that they must replace all their aircon because it is under powered. For me to be able to sleep is that i decided to sleep on my car because icannot sleep in the room because it is very hot.

Great stay! Perfect for Vegans/Vegetarians! The place is very serene. Clean beach, a very unique resort. Handcraft recycled furniture - very artistic. Just like staying in an exclusive beach resort.
Room - simple - airconditioned, private toilet, bath towels
Activities - meditation, boogie board, swimming
Food - They prepare DELICIOUS HEALTHY TASTY vegan food!
Staffs -very hospitable, friendly, approachable
If you want to have a break and just relax, this is a perfect place! Vegans and non-vegans are very much welcome here but they don't allow non-vegan food inside the vicinity like outdoor bbq and other meat as well as alcohol beverages. But you wont need that here, because they will provide you DELICIOUS food that you'll not be missing meat! will definitely RECOMMEND AMBAY!
