We stayed here just this May 2022. The staff were polite and very accommodating, we commend them for it. But the resort — not well maintained. Their room is not worth the value of your money. We have our own bathroom but we have to use the common shower areas because the water pressure in our bathroom is very weak. The shower is not working also but there's a pail and a dipper (I don't know for others but for me it's very unhygienic since you never know how others used the pail and dipper). We even have to improvise because the faucets in the bathroom and kitchen are attached very closely to the wall so the water tends to spill on the wall not on the pail or the sink. The flooring has a very worn out linoleum which detaches every time someone walks on it and that's why you can also feel the sand all over the room no matter how many times we swept it using the broom. Be mindful also of the flies, it's all over the place. It's a good thing also that we always bring mosquito repellants (the one plugged into the sockets) because there are lots of mosquitos. Per their ads, noise is not allowed after 10pm but unfortunately this is not followed. It's over-crowded also knowing that it's pandemic, maybe because it's summer season but the thing is, shouldn't there still be crowd-control? Now, for the beach, it's very dirty, lots of grass and trash floating around, the water is so brown (a mud-like color) that you can't see anything underwater even with goggles. The water is very murky. We even bite the very expensive island hopping just to get to a clear and clean ocean water. All in all, we felt scammed because their facebook photos and advertisements are very very very far from the one we saw when we arrived there.

We went here for a quick beach vacation. Stayed overnight on one of their standard rooms. The beach itself is underwhelming. Bits of plastic of all sorts everywhere. The shore is kinda rocky, some fragment of coral washed up as well. Sand is not fine and is a bit dark in color. The water is kinda nice but in some parts, it is murky and slimy, an indication of high nutrient in water, in short, dirty. The staffs are nice too. Approachable and respectful. I personally can’t tell who’s a staff and who is not, tho. Whoever handles their fb page/accommodations need improvement in communication as well. There is only four of us and we were offered this room worth 5k (w/ free breakfast). The room is air conditioned. With table and chair for four and also a mini refrigerator. Nothing else. No space for clothes or cloth hangers to dry our swimming apparels. I’ve been to other resorts around Batangas and the price is high and the room doesn’t quite match with the price and the quality of service. We went here during the pandemic. No walk-ins are allowed during these times so we booked for this place 2 weeks prior. We completed all of the requirements from LGU and followed the minimum health protocols, which is to wear mask (except when eating/near the beach) and distance ourselves from one another. No loud talking and we should stay quiet after 10 pm. This beach resort claims that they implement these rules. However, when we went there, most of the people aren’t even social distancing. It’s Friday and it is hella crowded when we went there. Most are not wearing their face masks or even if they do, they don’t wear it properly (even some of the staff). I didn’t want to make this review and just let all of these slide away if not for an incident that really hit the red button for me and I don’t want anyone else to experience it. It was already past 10 pm and a room next to ours have been singing and laughing loudly. We were trying to rest for the next day but it’s gotten so loud (and I guess it’s because they are drunk too) so I contacted one of the staff to inform them about what’s happening. The staff first told me that the noise might be from the people from the adjacent resort....like I’m just making it up. I replied immediately and assured him that it was the people next to our room. The staff replied with and apology and told me that they sent someone already. It’s past 2 am and the loud noise and laughing didn’t falter, getting louder even. I surrendered and just burrowed my head under the pillow. I don’t blame the staff/management for the noise. I blame them because I complained about a rule they should be implementing and they didn’t do enough and it’s very telling of them. It was clear that they are only after the profit, not with the quality of service they could offer.

the rooms are a bit rustic but clean and has the basic essentials... but the beach is great! this is a beachfront property. just a few steps from the rooms and you can already go swimming. Limited parking area. This beach resort gets packed quite a lot so for those who want privacy, you may want to consider another option. The room that we stayed was quite spacious. It had two queen sized double deck beds made of bamboo, a refrigerator and a stove, sink and a dining table.

The place is not a posh as you would like it to be. The price itself is not that expensive anyway. But I hope that it will be worth it. Easy to find location. Rooms needs updating and security must be priority. It would be nicer if rubbish bins will be provided on strategically around the accommodations and near the beach. Family had fun anyway.

200php per person is a fairly cheap price and it says a lot about the place. Arriving at the resort with my family, the first problem we encountered was the lack of signs and staff who may lead us or even point us to the direction of the beach, as well as our cottage and cavana. In addition, it is really hard not to notice the amount of people at the resort -it was too overcrowded and the cavanas were all cramped to fit a small space. However, that wouldn’t really be much of a problem if the resort was clean and someone was managing things but it wasn’t. In my whole time at the resort, I never saw anyone cleaning the tables nor the rooms or anyone you can complain to. Aside from that, while we’re having lunch at our cavana, people from our left and right our doing separate karaokes, so you can just imagine the noise pollution in that place. Furthermore, as I head for a swim, I saw a lot of plastic wrappers, plastic bottles, cigarettes all over the beach and even in the water so I found myself and my family not swimming at all. All I can say is I really can’t find anything good about this place. It was a total waste of time and money. The place lacks management and cleanliness. With that, I really don’t recommend this place, especially if you’re bringing kids with you. No one in our family enjoyed, as some are either complaining about how dirty the water was or how crowded and noisy the people are. Indeed, there are a lot of things not worth paying for a cheap price.

I organized a teambuilding event for my team last April 8-9 at this resort. Booking and reserving was hassle free since kuya Ronald (contact person) is easy to contact through his mobile phone and landline and easy to deal with. We were left with Marina kubo since we are a group of 20. It has 2 toilets and 3 rooms. extra beds per room was readily available. It has a water dispenser and chest fridge. In all infairness, the cabin was clean naman. Cons: -Kitchen alloted for the kubo needs a little walk (steps lang naman) -i suggest that the management to revisit every kubo as they may need a little renovating. -walk way is a too narrow thus making the resort look more crowded as the cabins and cottages are almost close to each other.

Area: Laiya, San Juan, Batangas Laiya Grande has no directional signs to their location. You will only see the resort’s name in the List of Resorts on the turn-off from the main road then you have to pass through an alley before reaching the resort entrance. We rented the Marina Nipa Hut Cottage (overnight rate of 15K but given to us at discounted price of 12K) which is a two-storey accommodation with three air-conditioned bedrooms, 2 toilet/shower rooms, living area and dining area. The cottage is just a few minutes walk to the beachfront. The upper floor has a veranda with dining area for four persons, a common toilet/shower room and two bedrooms with queen bed and a fold-out mattress in each room. There are no closet to hang your clothes but you can air-dry you wet clothes on the veranda. The lower floor has a living area and a larger dining area, another toilet/shower room and a bedroom with three queen beds. The room where we stayed has faulty light bulb that keeps blinking so we just turned it off and used the deco lamp as the light source. There is a water heater on the shower area on the upper level but we were not able to use it as it is also defective (water leaks on the valve and does not reach the shower head) and the water pressure is low. When someone is taking a shower on the lower level, there is no water on the upper level so we have to use a pail and dipper. You can use rice cooker or similar electricty-operated applicances in the cottage but if you want to make use of countertop stove, you have to pay a fee (but we were allowed to use for free) and go to a common washing/cooking area shared by other cottages. Likewise there is no sink/basin for dishwashing in our cottage so we also have to go to this place to wash our plates, etc. We were provided with a dispenser with free one 5-gallon water but the hot dispenser is not working, thus, the free use of countertop stove. While the above description seems mostly negative, we may still go back for another time should we visit Laiya again. Prior to our stay, I have already managed my expectation of the resort as I know this is not on the same level as Blue Coral (where I have been several years ago). Also, the staff are friendly and easy to talk with. Most of our time was likewise spent on the beach and we only stayed in the cottage to eat and sleep . Nonetheless, I hope they will renovate the shower area and improve the water delivery system.
