We stayed here for 2 days and 1 night in a poolside family room. Room was an average and a little small for 10 persons. Beds are comfy but the window type aircon was super noisy. The resort offered buffet dinner, breakfast and lunch. Food was 3/5, they should improve the quality and taste of their food. Resort location was good. Staffs were very accommodating, they were all nice. Pool was also nice and big, and they also had a poolside bar. Overall we enjoyed our quick family vacation.
3d2n, 4adults1child, deluxe room 2nd floor The bad and very ugly: -Cleanliness: super bad. Mold everywhere - bathrooms, room ceiling, shower enclosure doors, balcony in rooms, table decor at eating area. Bathrooms are very dirty, mold on walls and floors. Shower curtain very short and the bathroom gets flooded everytime someone showers. Sheets and towels smelled like cheap motel linen. Weird smell in room, even after housekeeping goes over everything. Common areas (shower and toilets) are very dirty and most of the shower areas had broken doors and shower stalls. The security is also poor so even with multiple signs around, guests still smoke in the bathrooms and showers. If you are 'maselan', do not book this place. -Food: overpriced buffets, seafood served (tuna with sauce) already bad, sponge cake as dessert served for 3 straight days, lutong carinderia na nilagay sa warmer. No seafood dishes for a beach-side resort. They have guests use food stubs. I didn't bother with them and told the receptionist I wouldn't take them upon check-in. -other amenities: 2 kangaroo tables that have been neglected and need repair, darts, ping-pong table. The entertainment area would have been great if they invested in getting it fixed up. Shower area looked it came straight out of a scary movie. Even the room numbers were either missing or falling off The good: -Room set-up: 2 beds + extra mattress, with balcony, mini fridge, electric kettle, wifi, bathroom, TV. Big enough for 3 big kids (20, 14, 10) and 2 adults to share -the bar: very affordable drinks, decent bartender -the pool: water over 5 ft in some places, clean -service ok if you're the only guests: We were the only guests for a full day so the food was very good (served family style and the tuna sinigang was very good) and the service was also commendable. They can't handle a full house though. The type and quality of food was very different when they had to set up the buffets. -the view: from our room's balcony, I could see the billiards area, bar, pool, and beach It looked like an old, neglected resort. It's sad because it's in a great location and seem to be a convention area for local government officials. Hopefully the owners can fix it up. Not planning on going back though, I don't feel like I got my money's worth on the food and quality of accommodation…
Just spent 5 wonderful days in the blue crystal resort. Good accommodation, great location next to sea, most of all the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Would definitely visit Puerto Galera again and stay at the blue crystal. 10 out of 10.
This place was Fantastic!! We had planned to take a trip to Palawan while in the Philippines but because of time, cost and Coronavirus we were not able to go. We were looking for a nice beach and Blue Coral Resort was recommended to us. We rented a van and driver and it was a 3 hour drive from Calamba City (it would be 4 hours from Manila). Lots of traffic but very scenic. Lunch Buffet and afternoon snack included in day trip price. Food was really good. There were 3 swimming pools-in-one to choose from and a kiddies pool. Coarse sand beach with warm sea water. With goggles on I was able to see fish swimming around us. It was not busy but maybe busy in peak season. Staff were really friendly and check in was quick and easy. There is Hotel accommodation available on the resort which we may take advantage of during our next trip to Philippines. I would say this was my best day of the trip.…
Had my family and relatives' outing here at Blue Coral in Laiya Batangas, 22 December. At first I thought it's pricey as on a per person basis it will cost you nearly a thousand php. But overall, i think it's worth of your money... especially if you've seen the happy faces of the kids enjoying the pools and beach. Per person cost already includes the buffet lunch and PM snack. We only availed of the day tour package as not everyone is available for overnight. Food was ok. Plenty enough to feed everyone (not only us ,which is around 35pax). Although a day after, some experienced LBM and we don't know if its due to food or water. Beach is really nice. Warm water and sandy beachfront. However, in the afternoon, couple of us saw small jellyfish which made us move to their lovely pools. Staffs were very a accommodating and friendly. Overall i can recommend blue coral.…
I visited this resort back in 2010, as part of my office team-building. Because I spent most of my time at the beach with my colleagues and drinking beer, I didn't really pay much attention to the resort itself, or its amenities, but I developed some fond memories of the place nonetheless. Last month, for the first time since 2010, I visited Blue Coral again, this time with family. The room wasn't great, with a bathroom that had a perpetually wet floor, and there was no room service, but there was a balcony with a nice view. The in-room wi-fi was nothing special either. In truth, I was ready to write this off as a misplaced nostalgia trip. But then there was the heated pool, which was very pleasant, and the breakfast, which was more decent than I had remembered it being. I didn't go to the beach this time as my kids all wanted to stay in the pool, but I managed to enjoy myself nonetheless.…

We book for Family Deluxe room for 8 pax with room cost of Php 11,200.00/night and compulsory of food of Php 1,750.00/pax for Dinner/Breakfast/Lunch which means Php 583.00/meal/pax. Rooms wise, it’s okay for the value including facilities provided which their swimming pools are quite stunning with 3 pools and 1 kids pool. And with table tennis and billiard table even it’s already in worn condition. So, for facilities wise, it’s acceptable for the value and environment of the area are quite nice. But, value for the compulsory food are not acceptable at all. Quality of food is worst than in the canteen and lots of canteen foof are way better than this resort provided. Blant, tasteless, dry, little choices, it’s the worst i have had in so many others resort. Even compare to next door Sambangan Resort. When told the Manger, the answer, that’s our standard here. Beach as usual standard along the Laiya Beach. Surely, will never book this resort anymore. …
It maybe far from Manila but the long drive is worth it. You can do a lot of beach activities and the food is good. The sand is white and the place is huge. They also have pool area. You can really enjoy the place.
Went on a weekend trip here and it was a good experience, pools and beach were clean and well-maintained. The room was spacious enough for the 8 of us, with 2 rooms that housed 2 double beds each. The airconditioning was very good considering the extremely hot weather; only complaint is that the sliding door was hard to manage. Food was okay although it was mandatory to avail of the buffet meals. Banana boat and snorkeling was easy to arrange with them also and had good service. it was my first time in Laiya and will definitely be back.
