Their presentation of the place in their website can be deceiving. And looking at how they priced their properties, well, you would think they would provide a healthy space for their guests. We were a big group when we travelled so we booked a few rooms. Those rooms were so small, only the bed could fit and a space for 1 person to walk around the bed. So if they say for 2 persons, it is literally only for 2 persons, don't expect a 3rd bed to fit in there. They don't even have a mini-ref because that would really be too much already. This place is way overpriced. It states free use of sports activities and had pedal boat and kayaking as example but upon checking those are the only sports activities that are free. Motor boats and Banana boats are not. The spread for the price of the buffet only had 1 soup, 2-3 viands and 2-3 deserts plus it wouldn't even pass an average for the taste. At dinner, they served us bad eggs. Ala carte orders of sandwiches and noodles took too long. But since there's no other nearby place to eat out unless you go to the next hotel, we didn't have a choice.

The pool is nice though. I guess that's why they have plenty of pictures of their pool, that's the only thing that was ok.

We stayed at their family suite wd 2small rooms & paid 24k for 2nyts. It was very disappointing. VERY small for that price with a COMMON tiny little toilet & bath that i cant even spread my arms.small cabinet(cant even hang ur clothes) that bumps your knees evrytime u pass by your bed bcz of the tiny space between them.
U call it family suite? Wev spent same with other resort hotels but worthy of the spacious room, cabinets and bathrooms. Definitely wont go back here. There are other resorts nearby which offers the same view and food(like Palm beach resort hotel-few mtrs away) but not as disappointing as how they would call it luxurious acuatico?! Better spend in othr 5star hotels, more worthy than this one.

I booked in Acuatico because friends and family recommended it. I was so disappointed because for the price we paid, the room was tiny. The bathroom was so tiny, you can't move in the shower. The food was so so - and overpriced.
My two-year old daughter loved playing in the play room. Unfortunately, she got bullied by the son and the daughter of some Acuatico employees who were unaccompanied in the play room. The rules clearly state that children playing in that room should be accompanied by an adult. I immediately called the attention of the manager, who looked for the parents of the said children. The mothers apologized but our weekend was already ruined. I hope that the manager ensures that this incident does not happen to any of the future guests. The employees should follow the rules and regulations of the resort - they are there for a reason.

I was really excited to come here with my family. The pictures looked amazing and we had visitors from the states that wanted to bring to the beach. It's really a treasure to live just 3 hours from a beach resort like this, but the check in was one of the worst we have ever encountered.

Upon arrival to the parking lot, you are asked to report how many adults and kids are in your car. There were 3 cars for our group and we all answered honestly. 8 adults, 1 senior. Total 9 adults.

Upon check in. We were asked again, how many adults there were for our group. We answered honestly. 8 adults, 1 senior. Total 9 adults.

Upon entering our room. 2 of the 3 rooms received phone calls from a lady at the front desk verifying the number of adults again. We told the the same answer of 8 adults, 1 senior. Total 9 adults. This time, my pregnant sister in law was harassed and called a liar saying there were 10 adults in our group, which was not true. We were literally accused of lying.

Is this how to greet your guests?
It looks like it's a usual process according to other reviews.

The second negative is that every room except the casa A beach front room, was extremely disappointing. The hotel is way overpriced for the room amenities. It was not maintained. The 2 rooms in the main building (3rd floor) were loud at night because of construction. The infiniti room that I personally stayed in was the tiniest room I've ever stayed in for an east asian country. It's the same size you might find in downtown Tokyo or Hong Kong. There were spiders and TONS of ants everywhere. It was really hard to enjoy the stay with your 2 toddlers when you are constantly checking your bags and beds for ants.

The shower and bathroom were like what you would find on a cruise ship. Extremely small to the point that when you are going to the bathroom, you have to sit sideways otherwise your knees would touch the wall. I'm 5'4". Definitely not tall.

Our group was so disappointed. The rooms were so small and not nice at all. For the price, I expected a 1-2 star price because that's what we received.

Now you may be wondering why i'm rating it a 3 star. The reason is because the hotel put a lot of effort into the dinner buffet. The food itself wasn't good the first night, but the second night it was good. The set up, decoration and entertainment were good too. The pool and breakfast area were great too, we loved using the pool everyday while were there. The service was excellent too.

The play room was nice for the kids, but the game room was really run down with mold on the dart board and the foosball station. I took the kids out right away.

Check out was also a bit of a turn off. The person who checked me out, put my credit card in the envelope receipt. I've never seen anyone do this in my life. So I didn't even know it was there.

Overall, this is a good place for families with small kids. Not really for couples.

I really hope they either they entirely renovate their rooms or lower their rates to what they should be. Also the check in process really needs to change.

Makati, Philippines

Quite a drive from Makati area, now that SLEX is limited to 100 kph, one must schedule properly his departure as to minimise the time on the road... The road is more than acceptable till we reached the end of Star Tollway, luckily we scheduled our visit during the week and came back to Makati on a Saturday.

The accommodation was well maintained, the small bungalow had two beds and allowed us (four) to fit with sufficient space. The bungalow was composed of a bathroom (ground level) a staircase leading to a patio and to the room.

The pool (fresh water) was moderately clean, small kids were in the pool and people are eating junk food while in the water... We decided to use the beach instead.
The beach is clean (no basura / garbage), the water was clear (not the rainy season) and the crew proposing rental of jet-sky and free use of kayak was nice, polite and available.
I do not know if the area proposes some diving activity, all I could see were ripples marks (sandy bottom) with a gradual slope, so the area may not the the best for scuba diving (to be confirmed).
The food in the restaurant was relatively varied but did not meet the standard I would have expected for the price. This is the province, vegetables and meat are not as costly as in the metropolis, Acuatico should ponder on this and offer a little 'extra' that would make the restaurant a unique experience.
Waffles in the morning or pasta in the evening (choose your own) were nice, the use of real butter would certainly add to the taste (margarine is not butter).
The waiters are polite and efficient and always looking to serve you without imposing themselves (keep it that way).

Acuatico is small and surrounded with other resorts, going there during a touristic period may offer an entirely different experience.
To be confirmed as we will try again...

Travelled with family during the weekdays.

Resort location and outside overall architecture is superb, but don't be deceive by its looks. Heading there from manila is quite a puzzle to find, lack of proper road signage. Resort is next to a local cemetery (freaky)! Hotel staff are very accommodating. Toilets and rooms are extremely small, drains are clogged, bed linens are filthy, no fridge, no cupboards, no safe inside the rooms. And the worst part, there is no 24-hour front desk! It necessary for the management to look into this as emergency happens anytime during the night or even guest who requires assistance. Another turn down was the pool, there are guest who prefers swimming at night like group of friends and families who simply want to enjoy their stay unfortunately, pool was closed at exactly 10 in the evening, staff started pouring treatment, it is not that sanitation is not important for us but at least treatment could start at 12midnight like any other resorts. On food, its overpriced for the taste and lack of selections, desserts such as chocolates are cheap samba kept in a spoon to look presentable! Beach is not fine sand, water is calm the entire day and night.

We reserved a bit late to get a bungalow by the pool, so we opted for one of the rooms in the main building, fronting the pool. It was a corner room, very clean and had good views of the pool and beach. So although we didn’t get our first choice in rooms, the backup was not bad at all. The pools are amazing – maybe the best in Batangas. The service was exceptional – from our arrival to our departure, every need we had was addressed promptly and always they were very courteous. The beach – it’s ok, a bit rocky than some beaches we are use to, but it’s usable. The ocean water looked clean, was really warm (warmer than Hawaii imho). But there was not coral reef or any fish nearby the shore (that I could see), it’s quite baron. So if you are looking for a good snorkeling place, you are out of luck. But they do have free use of kayaks and a pedal boat which is nice.

The food is ok. I read some complaints about it here in reviews from a few years back. I guess they hired better cooks or something. The breakfast buffet is ok, but their ala carte menu selections we had for lunch were actually pretty darn good.

Some of the bad reviews of this place are really off base in my opinion, but that’s what most of these reviews are anyway – personal opinions based on different personal tolerance levels. In this case, I think they are expecting too much. If you are looking for a Boracay/Coron/Palawan type beach and resort, then you will be disappointed. But if you keep an open mind about it and realize that it’s only about a 3hr drive from Manila, it’s a good option for a quick trip. I recommend this place for a weekend getaway, but nothing longer. Not much to do in the area but lounge around the pool and beach, and that can be done in 1-2 days. After that...? If you have a week to spare and a bit more cash, go to Palawan. If you only have the weekend, Acuatico is a good option.

Room Infiniti B2 is the smallest room we have ever stayed in with the tiniest bathroom. The bar and restaurant staff were wonderful. We felt bad for them since they constantly had to apologize for unavailabilty of food on the menu. At the bar, the waiter presented us with the menu and advised us that the pasta and noodles listed were not yet ready, only sandwiches were available. My husband ordered 1 Chef's Burger which comes with bacon but unfortunately they were out of bacon so the waiter offered ham as a substitute. I ordered the CPK sandwich. The waiter came back after 15 minutes. Apologizing, he informed me the chef didn't have good pandesal so the CPK sandwich was not available either. I settled for the Chef's Burger with ham. For dinner, they had a buffet. There was a Mongolian barbecue station with a few pieces of shrimp, few pieces of beef, and some vegetables. At breakfast the next day, they had salted eggs included in the salad bar but no tomatoes. They apologized again. One of the staff went out of the resort to get some! The resort was fully booked and management should have been prepared. At checkout, our driver informed us that he slept in the car since they never gave him the accommodations we booked for him and again the Front Desk personnel apologized. Management has to step up since the resort is beautiful.

My family decide to book a reservation ahead of time for our summer family gathering, we booked it december 2017 for our mar 2018 since this resort is always fully booked and receiveds a lot of positive comments.
We were excited and maybe expected too much.
Upon arrival: they gave us handmade necklace but no arrival drinks.
Checked inn: we didnt like the tone of the voice of their front desk officer ms DAR shes straight to the point but no politeness. (I let it pass)
We did spefically added the names & how many persons will check in she keeps asking how many persons? 2 or 3 times!
We stayed at the palm beach, virgin beach and other hotels they will acknowledge all the person/s indicated on the reservations!
Sorry but ive been in the hotel industry too this is no way to talk to a guest and her tone of her voice. Explaining like that tone no wonder my brother got irratated.

Rooms: the picture of estancia on the website looks big but if you checked it, its sooo small! Again i expected too much!
Bed? Not that comfy like in palm beach resort (another dissapointmet sorry if i compare too much)
Cr: 1 room with 2 seperate showers & toilets with glass separator (the glass was sooo not clean)
Resort & pool: yes it was pleasing coz its not that crowded & the pool is clean & i like kim & chris at the pool bar they are very attentive & polite!
Restaurant: ok sunday evening we choose their buffet resto.
Food: it was ok but the food is better in palm beach resort waitress was not that attentive even the next day breakfast!

All in all it was a dissapointment for all of us!

Tried booking into this hotel through Makati reservations as we are vacationing from Canada. Very hard time getting through and then they completely messed up the reservation, lied about it, and then when we arrived, they tried to shake us down for hidden fees for children. The rooms (even the bigger ones) are absolutely tiny, the pool is small, and the staff had no authority to fix it. We were so upset, we left and went a few Kim's down the road to Estrella de Mendoza as we had another reservation waiting. Staff there were excellent, no extra charges for kids, the pool is far bigger and nicer and the entire resort was better.

We spoke with Rafi in central reservations, told him we had two kids (13 and 10) and they said no problem and we wanted a queen bed instead of two twins - he said they would change it - a lie. He said we could have 3 nights and would send us email confirmation, he misspelled and we never received it. When we got to the "hotel", they said we were only booked for 2 nights and wanted to charge us 2500 extra for the kids- on each night! The duty manager Joshua was useless, kept apologizing but did nothing for us and keep saying he had to call his boss and Ravi. He finally found the missed email from Ravi and sure enough, we were booked for 3 nights, but he never told the place that. He then said that Ravi claimed we never mentioned anything about kids and we demanded to speak to him directly but they refused after calling us liars. We offered to upgrade to a (slightly) bigger room for an extra 1600 per night and they still insisted that we would have to pay an extra 1200 per night for breakfast for the kids. More phone calls to the "boss" and time wasting. Finally we had enough and said we were leaving as we did not appreciate the poor service and lying - as we left Joshua said that all resorts in the area charge for kids over 7 - as I said, Estrella de Mendoza was great, much bigger, and not a hint of any aggravation about kids.

The "hotel" wasn't even close to full and we left a reservation where we would have paid $50,000 plus what we would have spent on dinner and drinks each day - all because they tried to soak us for 3600 in extra hidden fees for our children. Great business acumen and I'm predicting this place will go down soon based on the service.
