The apartment wasn't accessible by car so we had to carry all our luggage on foot. Too many bugs and mosquitoes. No internet connection although we asked for a technician to repair it. Emailed the owner but we got no response. Stayed three nights and no one came to clean the room. It was hard to find the property and had to call a mobile abroad in order to contact the owner.

Valeondades Houses are three charming traditional houses, recently restored and decorated with some original furniture. The buildings are surrounded by the lush woods of the Samos Valley and the only access is an easy paved path that starts from the street leading to the picturesque village of Manolates. We spent a few days in the upper apartment of one of these buildings, which was made up by a large entrance hall with a well-equipped modern kitchen, a large bathroom with a bath and a double room with a small balcony. There was also an outdoor area with table and chairs under a sun umbrella and a fig tree. They provided you with bed linen and towels and there is also a wi-fi connection. The place is a good starting point to visit the valley on foot, in fact, there are plenty marked pathways that give you the opportunity to explore the surroundings. If you want to rest on a beach, Agios Konstantinos is not far away, just a 15-min walk on foot. The house manager, Manolis, lives there, so you have to go to his restaurant to get the keys. The house is generally clean despite the fact that it is surrounded by trees that inevitably attract insects. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing, totally different from what you find on the crowded villages on the sea. The only two small things we complain about is the lack of a table inside the house and the fact they do not provide the apartment with some food as they do in other similar accommodations in Greece. The place is surely worth a visit, especially if you are willing to enjoy the inner part of Samos.
