Catching an early morning flight, living some distance from the airport, the only real option is to stay with my "friends" at the Sea View. I do not use the word lightly as everyone welcomes with a huge smile and warm greating. Cathy, Daisy, Weng and the others seem to take an interest in each guests stay. If you are having to fly PAL out of Dipolog, I strongly suggest staying at the hotel and riding the complimentary shuttle to the airport. The hotel cost is reasonable and a potential problem is eliminated.

Rooms are not made up daily unless specifically requested. No wash cloths, so bring your own. Weekend live music on he roof top restaurant (6th floor) was disturbing in rooms one floor down (5th floor). Rooms and colors were a bit too gaudy. Food was great. Staff was always helpful. Hot water availability was always an issue each visit but was partially resolved by staff. WiFi was not always available, was spotty or was a poor connection. Price was slightly higher than other comparables.

It's near the shopping mall. The room is clean and adequate. Breakfast was okay. I arrived late one time, around 9AM, but the buffet breakfast won't close until 10AM. There is no longer any food left in the chafing dishes. Hotel occupants must've had their breakfast early and wiped the food out. But the chefs and the waiters cooked some breakfast dishes especially for me. I was planning to have just coffee and bread since there is nothing left. But, hey, I wouldn't say no to the food :) It isn't the best hotel but it's enough for one or two days business trip.

I've stayed at the Seaview 4 times over the last couple of years. Accommodations: Basic rooms with bed and bathroom, good AC and balcony. No fridge, but the friendly staff can have items refrigerated for you. They also provide some soap and shampoo. The rooms have been in nice condition with the exception on my most recent visit and it seems some upkeep needs to be done. The balconies can overlook nice views, or a wall. Try to get 5th floor room. The best view is on the roof, where you will also eat breakfast. You can see a lot of Dipolog and of course the Sea. Service: Service has been great and the staff are friendly. Other: Food is ok, nothing special. There is a pool, but I've never used it, although it seems popular. It is indoors, so it does provide a nice break from the intense Sun. Location: Great location. Across the street a little way is the city's main mall Lee Plaza as well as some restaurants. I recommend Chicken Ati-Atihan which also across the street. The wonderful boulevard is a 10 minute walk away. Overall, a cozy place to sleep in a great location, though bare on amenities and in need of updates.

What is good about this hotel? It is clean, great water pressure with lots of hot water, across from the only "mall" in Dipolog, 2 good restaurants very nearby, breakfast was good What is bad? Staff is quite uneven - some are lovely and some are downright rude, the location is a little far from the center even though Dipolog is quite small, the WiFi was quite weak in my room, they played really loud TV at breakfast (not even news). In sum, if I returned to Dipolog I think I might choose a different hotel that is a little closer to the center, but if I didn't find anything available, I would not mind staying at C&L again.

Well, to begin with it was the worst experience I ever had. We arrived at the Hotel, that was fine to begin with, then everything went down hill. First power black outs, then no water, when asked the receptionist what happen to water, the receptionist said water pump broke down and getting repair,I said I want to use the toilet? the receptionist said can you wait to 100am, i said can you wait to 100am? elevator broke down. I wasn't allowed have cups to make coffee or tea as they want you to buy there terrible coffee, taste like burnt trees. Breakfast buffet if you call it no western food.Sorry I had a bad experience with this hotel,I will never come back again.

Nice location with food and shopping close by. Simple and adequate amenities. Nice indoor pool. Hot water on 2 out of the 8 nights, so that could use a little improvement. NO housekeeping at all. Had to exchange the towels daily ourselves. Decent breakfast bar and friendly staff. The term "Sea View" seems to loosely apply here. Lower floors are blocked by the industrial looking face of Lee Plaza, across the street. Not sure if Any rooms actually offer a "Sea View", but the sea can be scene from the outdoor patio of the top deck restaurant/bar area. Nice view of the main thoroughfare though.

A very nice hotel in dipolog. We enjoyed our week long stay here. The staff was very pleasant especially the front desk. Conveniently located across from Lee Plaza, an indoor shopping mall and waking distance to the Boulevard--a nice walking area along the ocean. We will definitely stay here again.

A satisfactory stay. The room was very spacious, probably a bit dark if we are being honest. Beds were good, shower and bathroom fine. Wifi was poor as could only be accessed via the bathroom as the beds were too far from the modem. Enclosed balcony wasn't particularly inviting. Breakfast buffet was average, the rooftop meal area where it was served wasn't the most luxurious but had a good view. Good location in the middle of town.

We use various hotels throughout Dipolog which are booked for clients. We will be regularly travelling to Dipolog from April 2017 onwards and have arranged for guests to stay at each of the 6 hotels there to get a deal for each. We would place The Sea View second best. However, staff require further training in etiquette, no clean towels or tea/coffee making facilities in rooms and bathroom are very small. See View is, in occasions, more economical than D'Hotel & Suites but the latter is head and shoulders above the rest and we have already made out bookings at D'Hotel & Suites, where all staff are courteous and everything is available. D'Hotel has no pool, See View does have a quite small outdoor pool. Much depends on what travellers are looking for. Economy and pool = The Sea View. Comfort, cleanliness and service = D'Hotel & Suites
