The West End Court Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Dipolog City. It is 2 blocks away from the Dipolog Boulevard where you can enjoy the beautiful vista of the Sulo Sea. It is also within walking distance to several restaurants and main shopping and business areas. The hotel has just opened it's brand new East Wing building providing new and improved accommodations.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Stayed 8 nights, wonderful place to stay, airconditioning, cable tv for evenings or afternoon nap, right down town but quiet. The owner and his staff are friendly, speak very good english, and are very very polite and accomadating. Priced right, clean, and new, all in all a great place to stay. Also close to Ali's cafe for lunch and her other cafe for excellent dinners. Easy walking distance to ocean and open market. I had a great stay, highly recommend to others and will stay there again whenever in Dipolog. Owner and parents are very good people and will spend time in quailty conversations.

Great service by the hotel staff. New building. Rooms are a good value for the money. I paid around PhP 1500.00 (around USD 35.00; EUR 25.00) per night for my room (room 404). It has airconditioning, a television, great lighting, a small balcony, hot and cold showers, tables for my use. No fridge or bathtub or cabinet for the room type I booked. Nothing fancy, but great for me since I didn't need to stay in my room too much anyway because of my conference.
Linens get changed daily, and you can expect the hotel staff to actually clean up your room for you once you leave, no need to tell them anything unless you don't want them cleaning up your room.
My breakfast was included in the hotel package, and can be availed until 10:00 AM, else its forfeited, which is fine by me (who eats breakfast past 10 anyway). Continental (local sausages, eggs, rice, bread, cheese, and coffee) for Wednesday until Saturday, and a simple breakfast of corned beef, eggs, rice and coffee for Sunday. They always leave a small bottle of mineral water everyday in my room for free.
The upper rooms did not have Wifi, as the only area with Wifi is the hotel lobby near the reception desk.
They told me they had free airport transportation, and they did commit to it. They use a Nissan Urvan with the hotel name on it and the ride was comfortable and on-time both from and to the airport. The staff speak very good English, and can converse quite well. They know most of the good places to eat in the area, and was the one who warned me to always pay only PhP 7.00 (USD 0.16; EUR 0.12) for the tricycles wherever I am headed within the city. I learned to make sure that I always have coins for transportation as not all the tricycles have sufficient change - hassle, if you don't have coins.
The city suffers regular black-outs of late, but the hotel has back-up generators so after a couple or so minutes, airconditioning and lighting is back on (cable TV is not yet hooked to the back-up generator, so during my stay it remained off for a couple of hours until the regular electricity is back, though the hotel staff told me that they're working on linking the cable TV to the back-up generator as well in the future).
Place was very quiet. Very little noise, I didn't even notice the loud drizzle of the rain outside on one circumstance. Very close to CLS, which is a great place to eat, as well as some other restos in the area.
Overall, I loved my stay. You get what you pay for, but I believed I got more than what I paid for in this hotel - on a very positive note.

we stayed there in the premier deluxe room faceing the ocean on the top floor. it was about 35.00 a night . our room was huge, hot and cold shower, lcd cable tv. air con and balcony to sit and see the ocean every morning. the location was perfect ,just outside the door was an internet cafe ran by a lady named nannette who retired there from california. youre on the edge of town so its quiet but your only about 100 meters from the dipolog shopping plaza and 5 min from the mall by tricycle. they will pick you up and take you to the airport. beautifull patio downstairs to eat breakfast and laundry service is dirt cheap and fast

The West End Court Hotel is tucked away in a peaceful corner of Dipolog City, a short leisurely stroll from the Dipolog Boulevard where one can witness the magnificent sunsets over the Sulu Sea. We stayed at a Junior Suite on the fourth floor of the newer east wing. The bathroom is spacious and clean, and the water pressure is strong. The room is equally spacious and modestly, yet tastefully appointed. Wi-fi internet access is free and there is a wide selection of cable tv channels. The hotel also provides complimentary continental breakfast. We also learned that the West End Court strives to be a "green" establishment. Solar cells provide power for lights and water heaters. Last but not least, we highly appreciated the friendly and efficient service of the WECH staff. Very highly recommended. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Dipolog.

I stayed for 3 nights at the West End Court Hotel, which I booked based on recommendations of fellow travellers at TripAdvisor. I reserved online and was managed efficiently with zero hassle.
I was picked up by the hotel van from the airport, which is barely a 10 minute ride. I slept in a twin sharing room at the east wing on Day 1, because I was supposed to be billeted with a co-worker, but transferred to a double bed for the next 2 nights (the room adjacent) when she opted to sleep in a different hotel.
The hotel is fairly new, and is just two blocks away from the Boulevard (facing the sea). There is a complimentary breakfast accompanying the room, but it is a simple offering of bread, canned fruit cocktail and instant coffee. You can opt to get their offerings of traditional breakfast meals at the coffee shop in the west wing (ground floor).
The bed is very comfortable to sleep in, maybe because the hotel is fairly new. The bathroom is clean and the water pressure is okay (you can shower). They have free toiletries and small bottled water provided everyday. They also replace your towels, even if you don't request them to do so.
Since Dipolog is a small city, the hotel is very accessible (a tricycle ride is 7.00 going anywhere) and most know where it is (or just simply say "Echavez St."). I am not sure if the hotel offers other meals aside from breakfast, and just be sure to eat out before returning to the hotel. If you feel hungry, there is a 24-hour eatery about 5 blocks from the hotel.
I also arranged for the van to take me to the airport for my flight out.
Overall, I will recommend this hotel and will definitely stay with them again next time I am in Dipolog. Thank you to the staff for taking care of me while I was there.

located within a hundred yards of dipolog boulivard, freindly staff, comeand go as you please, all rooms with aircon. doesnt do food but large sea food restuarant opposite. rooms are excellent and clean, they are building a huge extension should be open late 2010 but have said prices will remain the saame, i stayed for 27 days cost was 31000 php. ( cash) they dont have credit card or debit card facilities at the moment., but then most of dipolog doesnt either. if you need to use a cashpoint go to PSP bank its the only one tht works with western style cards, they all saytheytake visa etc but believe me they dont. I would have no hesitation staying in this hotel in the future.

My wife and I just spent the night at West End Court Hotel yesterday and it was our second time to stay there. You will find a very friendly staff who remembers which room you are in and have your key in hand before you even ask for it. Very spacious rooms and bathrooms with ice cold aircon in the rooms and good hot water in the bathrooms. The hotel is located 2 blocks away from the Dipolog boulevard where you can take a stroll and enjoy the cool ocean breeze and beautiful sunsets, or have a snack from the many vendors there. There are many restobars near the boulevard and the hotel for food and drink. A small mall is one block away and downtown is only two blocks away with food and shopping available. The location of the West End Court is off the main road so the traffic noise is at a minimum unlike some of the other places that are on main noisy streets of town. Room prices are very reasonable, especially for the size of the room you are getting. Any time I need to stay overnight in Dipolog the West End Court Hotel will be my choice.
