Don't dive or stay here! I have had a trip booked since 2019 for last fall 2020. After two postponed trips (Travel Restrictions to the Philippines) they will not even consider a refund. Then in 2022 they want to raise the prices on the dive trip that I have already paid for and expect me to pay even more. Bad business and unethical practices. Go somewhere else!
12 day dive vacation cutdown to 5, I will go back. The room was spacious, scrupulously clean, and quiet. The landscape was a tropical dream with each room feeling very private. The restaurant is open air with fans for cooling right on the beach. The staff knew us by name after the first meal with us. They remembered preferences and in my case allergies. Special shoutout to Rea and Lia. The dive staff were just as great. The initial briefing for diving and the daily briefings were clear, well thought out and ontime. Our assigned guide was Harnold and he was phenomenal. I pointed to something I waned to see (like a clown frog fish and he found them as well as making sure to find me underwater to show me. He kept track of his entire group, and was clear in underwater direction.Another shout out to the brand new dive manager. When my D90 failed with an issue that couldn’t be resolved without a Nikon service center, Yoshi loaned me his personal D40 setup. He refused to allow me to pay him a rental fee. Other highlights were the Spa where services are inexpensive compared to the US but to the same standards of a high end spa here. The resort manager, Phillip, who was visible and around to talk. Too late to make it short but the resort physically, the food, the staff, and the diving were all fantastic. I actually spent more days traveling than I did diving due to COVID-19 disruption but it was still worth it. I will be going back.…
The staff was professional, friendly, and polite and called me by name after the first day. The food was excellent, a good variety and a well stocked bar, the waitstaff were great and even tried to teach me some of the language at my request. The dive staff, and my guide Alfie made this one of my best dive vacations. I’m sure of this because I spent more time in the water than on any trip I’ve ever taken and this includes live a boards. I was able to check off every creature I was hoping to see, except for the Blue Ringed Octopus. So I guess I’ll have to go back. We were probably the last group to stay there due the Coronavirus Outbreak and I can’t say enough about how well were treated. When the world is back to normal and you can travel again give these guys a chance, they deserve it and you won’t be sorry.…
Food was excellent and the staff were really nice and helpful. The only problems I had was with the hot water which they tried to resolve the best they could, and the ceiling above was a bit thin making it quite noisy when guests were walking around upstairs, but it wasn't a huge problem.
Top class dive resort, with beautiful 2-story buildings spread over a well-tended, scenic park area. Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. The dive center, shop, hotel lobby, and restaurant are all located right by the beach. Beautiful beach where you walk peacefully in either direction. It's a rural unexploited area, so expect to meet hens & chickens, pigs & happy kids along the way. Incredibly friendly, helpful and professional staff that really make you feel at home from day one. Can't praise the staff enough - they really make your stay a happy one! Plenty of beautiful protected reefs teeming with life within 5-10 minutes by boat. Apo Island - 45 minutes by boat is well worth a visit.
