My family and I had a wonderful time at Salaya Beach Houses. It gives you everything you'd want in a vacation, great food, great view, great rooms! My personal favorite on the menu is the loaded nachos and their peanut butter banana milkshake. If that isn't enough for you, you can also take a trip to Apo Island. The island is surrounded by hundreds of marine life and it was really a great time for me and my younger cousins. I definitely want to go back again!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Salaya Beach Houses. I was here with my family, seven of us including an infant. The two bedroom luxury penthouse was very spacious for us, with great interiors and an amazing view of the resort and the sea. It is a small resort so it felt very tranquil and relaxing, even if they were fully booked for the Holy Week, it felt like there were only a handful of guests that time. The premises of the resort was well maintained with perfectly manicured gardens and towering coconut trees. The pool area just by the shore was beautiful, and it was relaxing to take dips, do laps or just sit by the pool. We availed of the day tour to see the dolphins and the sandbar at Manjuyod / Bais and everything was taken care of from transportation to food. It was like they brought the resort amenities with us to the trip--we felt like we were eating hotel restaurant buffet in the middle of the sandbar for lunch! The staff accommodated all our requests. For example it was my mom's birthday so I asked them to arrange for flowers and some things to be delivered on a particular day. We bought some seafood from the market and though it was not part of their services they acceded to cooking them for us -- and they cooked it so well. That being said, their menu food is good too. Pricey but delicious. Would definitely recommend and consider coming back now that I am a certified scuba diver.

I am giving Salaya Beach House a perfect rating because it has all that you will need for a beach resort. Overall the place will give you this luxurious feel from its well manicured lawn, its rooms and the pool area. The rooms are huge! It's like having your own place by the beach -- there's a living area and kitchen as well. That's how i felt at least when we stayed at the resort. The food is very good. I am not a certified foodie, but I can appreciate well prepared and well flavored food. When we went to Apo Island, they even plated our lunch... call that first class service. The price is very reasonable, for some may even call it cheap, but the taste is definitely expensive! My favorites would be their baked granola + yogurt in the morning, I love their sushi rolls, fresh and rich. The Happy hour will also make you happy. Special mention to the Aperol Spritz which i now love and it's a perfect match for the pool. Lastly, the service is what i always like in a resort - friendly and very attentive with your needs. I think care is very natural to the people of Dauin, but i really felt it during our short stay here. When we also went to Apo Island, they even put on the booties of my mom-in-law so she wouldn't have a hard time. I also like the fact that they hired the locals of Apo Island as snorkeling guide. That will give livelihood to them. They can easily have their own guides but they chose to work with the community which I really value. I will definitely recommend this to friends and relatives... and will be one resort on our list that we will come back to. Thanks to my cousin Thea for recommending this place :)

This will be our second vacation since two years of self isolation due to the covid pandemic besides staying at Shangrila Mactan a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at the one bedroom suite at the lower level near the pool. The suite was spacious with a large kitchen suitable for cooking. Although we were informed that there will be an additional charge if we intend to use the kitchen. The bedroom was also okay. The only drawback is that the outdoor shower is located outside and I preferred an indoor type as my feet gets dirty when returning back inside the room. In general the interior was really nice. The resort had a restaurant wherein we Ll loved the menu. Management and staff were very friendly and approachable. We will definetly be staying here again when we are in Dumaguette.

I can't give enough compliments to this resort and their coordination with my plans. First I told them how I wanted to have their private beach table and they are able to offer me tons of extra options to really make my trip special. I took their options and we discussed more options on top of it until we finally had everything I could possibly want. The day came for me to arrive at the resort and for the plans to begin only to get stuck at the airport and delayed for a whole day. They rescheduled everything for me and were still able to ensure that everything was perfect. Including a private boat to apo island, photographer, tour guide, musician, massages, food, flowers, special decorations, imported champagne and overnight stay. The coordinator and manager oversaw every step of the process to ensure that there wasn't any problems and made the entire day flawless. The ambiance was perfect, the food exquisite and the staff went above and beyond. I will be returning to Salaya every time I'm near Dumeguete as it will forever be meaningful place in my heart and in the heart of my future wife. I highly recommend staying here whenever possible.
