My partner and I stayed in this resort for 2 nights and 3 days. I was a bit worried because weather was not so good and on the day that we got here, I realized that it was far from the beach. Nevertheless, we had a good experience here because it is away from the buzzing noise of the city. Food is average but loved the Fish Gratin! The water in the swimming pool is freezing though... But we loved the spaciousness of our room! Our stay in this resort really allowed us to relax and as well slow down. Quiet and serene.
We was at this resort with my friends and was very disappointed!! No sea view Food was terrible and they served old and cold French fries Rooms are very noisy and you hear all night the pigs from the neighbors and bad smell Diving shop is very poor and no staff when we were there !! Manager very unfriendly Never again ever would we stay at that place !
This place is very nice. beautiful view you can see the beautiful mountain. you can Go diving ,snorkeling . visit some hotsprings the staff is very nice and friendly and the food is very good . they have beautifull plants. lots of people love this place .
This place is worth it , and all the people is friendly. the foods are delicious , you can relax, swimming and you can stay hole night at the bar drinking and talking with the owner with his pretty girlfriend. and very peaceful with the beautiful plants. , I like the rooms because it's very big. , the staff are always smiling... we really really love this place <3
To get to the good stuff first. The resort was spotlessly clean & immaculately maintained. The room spacious. The food perfectly adequate, even if the menu a bit limited & uninspiring. However................. The resort is "miles from anywhere" (about 3kms South of Dauin- The location on google maps, via Aqualandia website is wrong!). We had much trouble arranging transport & tours- the place is simply not geared for this. We 'commandeered' a local trike driver exclusively in the end, to take us around to the sites. Their dive shop was closed when I was there- Note, this is not really a dive resort like nearby Thalata, Mike's or Atlantis- If you want diving go to one of these.(and their food/choices is much better too). I got the impression the 'owner' (German) operates the resort chiefly for the benefit of his family & friends, of whom seemed to make up most of the clientele whilst we were there. Oh, and they (oddly) do not take credit cards, a major thumbs down for "international" guests!…
It was very noisy (road, pigs and roosters) and the smell of pigs was superfluous. There is no beach but chaos in the kitchen. The whole area is worn and you can see that no money will be reinvested. Thanks once was enough for me!
We booked for two nights only through Agoda for $38(something). The menu was overpriced. I mean I could have a gourmet style food in other resort for same price. But their food was not good at all. A bit like cooking at home style. The staffs are so nice and I know they've tried their best to make it good but it's just not good enough for the money you pay. Maybe if I pay half of the price then I won't hesitate to grab my wallet. This is just a friendly suggestion, maybe the chef needs to attend a cooking course so she can cook and make the food presentable and exceptional. I like the rooms, it's big size but I don't see the point of having the small kitchen which is big already and no stove. I think the place needs upgrading. They over advertise it and the pool which is not that nice. There are so many clean and lovely pool around but they never say they're the best.. Just saying …
We booked this place for 2 nights as we did not find any other hotels in Dumaguete for these dates. Overall the stay was average. The property looks old and outdated. The room size was good but shabby furnishings. Few of our wooden racks were locked?! Time to replace the bed linens and pillow covers, extremely faded! Our meal plan said breakfast was included, and it was included but the portion was too small and we had to pay extra for (tea/coffees). The property doesn't have a sea view, you have to walk minutes 150 feet to reach the beach. The staffs were all attentive and professionals. No complaints. I would not suggest to stay in the place more than a day or a two as the restaurants/bar closes at 8 pm and you are doomed inside your room. Not many guests around. We would certainly not return there again. I would suggest to look around, you will find pretty amazing properties close by.…
Swum up bar, attentive staff, good food, great (small) pool. Went here just to hang out for the day with my girlfriend and some friends. We had an excellent time swimming and having drinks in the pool. Very relaxing. I can't speak to the quality of their overnight facilities, but I would imagine an excellent stay from the serve we saw during our day trip. Will definitely be going back.
I needed somewhere for a peaceful, relaxing few days where the most I had to do was swim in the pool, walk on the beach, read good books, eat good food & not have to have anything more stressful to do than RELAX! This place was perfect. The owner, Alex, is very helpful and friendly, and the staff are a credit to the resort (with excellent English!). Nothing is too much trouble, food orders can be taken in advance, they fetch you when it is ready, activities can be arranged, along with diving (on site dive centre), also massages/manicure/pedicure, or you can be left in peace as you wish. The grounds are like a small tropical garden, very pretty, and the pool is lovely, clean, a decent size. The cottage was clean, comfortable, with a fridge, sink, kettle etc. Housekeeping was done daily, with bedding changed every third day. Comfortable seating on private patios. It is so peaceful, no traffic noise (despite being just off a 'main' road, 2 minutes walk to the beach where you can walk as far as the eye could see either way, no noisy music etc.....there are roosters close by who were quite vocal at sunrise (I found it lovely!), and there are no shops. bars close by (although about 30 mins walk towards Dumaguete City along the road there is a selection of roadside stalls/shack-shops where you can get ice cream, soft drinks etc but choice is limited) but if you want an out-of-the-city location then you need to expect rural! The mini-bar, food, drinks etc was a reasonable price, and the pool has a lovely swim-up bar. At the end of my 6 days I was more relaxed than I had been for 2 years so it did what I intended it to do. I will definitely go back, and next time I will learn to dive and also go on some of the activities! The resort is about half an hour drive from the airport, and transport can be arranged for 750php (each way), and the cars were clean, comfortable, smart and the drivers courteous and friendly. WiFi throughout was good - I managed to pick up WiFi in my room, around the resort and even on the beach! It was a little slow at times, but I didn't go on vacation for the WiFi!…
