We stayed in Mitsis Norida for 8 days in September. Our room was located in the upper part of the complex, the "ascent" was not quite as easy at just under 30°, but we were often lucky and Petros drove us up with the golf cart. The first time you enter the hotel, your holiday begins. Friendliness and the well-being of the guests always come first here. The location of the hotel is really great, with the view from the hotel room we look over a really great hotel complex on the very nicely located beach, the sea and the beautiful surrounding islands. But even if you don't have a sea view, you can look at the beautiful typical Greek landscape. The premises of the hotel are well organized. The family room is large enough for four people, bright and practical. The cleaning staff ensures very clean rooms and replenishes daily the need for drugstore, coffee and also the minibar. The air conditioning systems in the separated rooms function flawlessly, are easy to operate and thus ensure optimum comfort. The food in the main restaurant is extensive, provides variety and is really good in taste. Here, too, the staff are immediately on hand to either escort guests to the square, fulfill space requests or provide guests with drinks quickly, making meals a pleasure even with a larger crowd of hungry guests. Should something not work in any matter, the reception is always available and guarantees a smooth process and quick help. Even the evening program in the hotel is varied and rarely elsewhere as high quality as here. Particularly noteworthy for us is the Casablanca Bar. I've stayed at the Norda a few times now and must say that every year it seems to improve, yet I cant see how because every year I think it's perfect. All sunbeds have been replaced even on the private beach making sunbathing a very comfy experience. The staff are excellent offering good service and are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. And the food is the best I've had in any of the hotels I've stayed in around the world, and you really must try the specialist restaurants. Rooms are very clean never had an issue with any of the rooms I've stayed in. Entertainment is high quality The Drifters are so professional how they have not been discovered I'll never know. If you decide to book this hotel you will not be disappointed and is definitely value for money

We have recently returned from a week in Mitsis Norida and would happily recommend this to family and friends. It was perfect hotel/location for a multi-generational family visit. Check in was efficient (although I do advise checking in online in advance) and staff were friendly and informative. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. We had room 142 in the main block which had a great view over the pools and sea. The mini bar was restocked daily and contained water, beer, soft drinks and, unusually, a small bottle of wine. The pool areas are exactly as shown on the photos with great views over the sea. By the main pools there is only one row of sun beds around them and we always managed to get some even though there were six of us. People do start putting towels out early. There are plenty of sun beds around the saltwater pool and on a nearby grassy area. The beach also had lots of sun beds. The saltwater pool is where the aqua aerobics and water polo takes place. The animation team were very friendly without being pushy. Food throughout was very good. The buffet could be repetitive but always had plenty of choice and was generally a good quality. We loved all three of the a la carte restaurants and found the food there to be very good. You can book breakfast twice in the a la carte and have lunch there without booking. We really liked that as it was generally more relaxed than the main buffet area and you had great views. You do need to book the a la carte restaurants in advance if possible. We needed to change one booking and the Concierge Team were extremely patient in helping me to make the change. The Creperie was a great addition and we enjoyed both savoury and sweet options there. There is a little pizza station on the beach where you can pick up a couple of slices for a snack. Our party celebrated a wedding anniversary and birthday whilst there and on each occasion we were provided with a bottle of sparking wine and a chocolate cake. A thoughtful and much appreciated gesture. There are several bars to choose from although they offer different cocktails. We particularly enjoyed the Casablanca bar in the evening where the staff remembered your drinks order and always made a fuss of the children. We found the staff throughout the resort to be particularly friendly and helpful and the complex was spotlessly clean. There was a bus running between the resort and Kardamena for just 2 euros each way.

A very large resort with queues to match, queues at the restaurants, queues at the bars, queues at the beach, queues for the lifts. Not ideal when you have young children.
The staff for the most part are great, but a select few are miserable and let them down. If you’re lucky, you’ll avoid the miserable ones.
The food is generally good. The drinks are ok, but the wine typically comes from 3L bottles and the spirits are unbranded, so it’s not a premium offering. The rooms are small and dated (not extractor in our bathroom, very steamy), but the maid service is very good.
The restaurants you see on their website are a la carte restaurants. You are only allowed there once a week. The menus are on QR codes. They insist on ordering all 3 courses at once and the food comes in very quick succession. Otherwise you’re off to the buffet restaurant which is like a canteen :/
There is a lot of entertainment which some may like but it does mean that there is loud music at the pool all day (we spent our days at the beach and could hear it). Some of the music had VERY foul language, not ok for children. We were horrified! It also means that until around midnight your room is not quiet and kids can’t sleep. The band may as well be in our room - HELLISH!
That said, we are checking out early because our baby sleeps less here than at home and it’s unbearable! For those without kids and not fussed about queues, it’s a great place. For us, it’s awful!

Since we stayed at the Mitsis Norida Hotel in July 2019, we were able to draw a comparison and can only confirm that we do not have our decision to spend our holiday here a second time ready in any way! In any case, the friendliness/helpfulness of the entire hotel staff, the cleanliness of the facility (some guests unfortunately ensure that the staff here and there is more than good to do ...), the equipment of the rooms (e.g. pillow selection, daily filling of the minibar with water, Coke, orange/lemon soda and beer, daily cleaning etc.) should be emphasized. We were on the beach almost every day and have always found free sunbeds/umbrellas. We love the hotel beach with its small pebbles and crystal clear waters! If you are looking for other beaches, you will definitely find it on Kos with a rental car. We also used the three hotel-themed restaurants and breakfast at "The Grill". We were very satisfied with the food selection at lunch and dinner even in the main restaurant. In the evenings there were two soups to choose from as well as various salads. Located just outside of Kardamena, the place is very easily accessible by bus (stop directly opposite the hotel entrance). A car rental company as well as a supermarket are directly on the hotel premises. In Kardamena we can highly recommend the Calypso Bar. And if you like it quiet, you can spend a day on the sandy beach at Troulos Beach near Mastichari. On site there is a small tavern with seats in the shade, cool drinks and delicious food. We were on the island at the time of the forest fire (01.07.2024) and felt well taken care of by the hotel management.

Let me start by saying that the structure is beautiful and exceptional and is located on a stretch of beach bordered by four hotels/residences of the same MITSIS chain with kiosks included and night guards at the ends of the complex which is enormous. The rooms in the main building with bathroom are excellent even if they don't have a bidet, they also give you bathrobes as well as bath towels, beach towels and the usual other accessories. Inside the hall there are two bars and a creperie, several toilets, a small shop selling various items. There are several salt water swimming pools and the beach with umbrellas already included in the price as well as all drinks, desserts and ice creams at the bar. Very beautiful sea with pebbles I (you don't need sea shoes) The staff are really very friendly and helpful, especially the girls at the reception, a waiter with a beard who serves the creperie tables in the afternoon and a waitress of Albanian origin who serves the tables in the bar in the evening whose names I don't know. The main and only restaurant (there is another one by reservation only) is not bad, the food is good, especially fish and vegetables, I didn't like the meat much and there are some repetitive dishes as well as the desserts which are a bit too pasty. They also make good Italian pizza both at the restaurant and on the beach. Unlike other hotel chains, the drinks are given at the table and by the glass at a time upon request when they could be brought by the liter in a single solution (editor's note: imagine the flow of customers who dine in the evening in the summer period). We are on our final day here, after staying for one week with our two children ages 12 and 3.
We have had a lovely break but we wouldn’t say it’s 5* and we wouldn’t return for another holiday.
We will start with the pros - - It’s a beautiful and very clean hotel - Staff work very hard and are all so lovely - The creperie is amazing - lovely choices and saved us from being starving most days! - Pizza by the beach was good - The Smokey Grill restaurant is lovely. If you can get as many breakfasts & dinners from them as possible we would recommend it - we managed to get 3. The food is 10x better! - The mini bar in the rooms is refilled every day free of charge - Beds are made, towels changed and floors mopped in rooms daily - The room is spacious - children have a separate room which is ideal (I would recommend a room near the pools if you’re looking to book though) - The beach is nice - water sports available at an extra charge - Free sunbeds, which are really comfortable!
Cons- - All the pools are FREEZING. They are empty all day! Not being able to use them was a big issue for us and something we usually love to do when we’re away - Food in the main restaurant is terrible. We avoided eating there most days and opted for pizza by the beach, the creperie or eating out in town - Not enough to do with the children - especially our 3 year old. With the pools being unusable due to being so cold we were sometimes at a loss with what to do to keep him entertained - Our room was up a steep hill. Not ideal with a toddler and a pushchair - it’s also really slippery and potentially dangerous - The pool with the slides isn’t looked after as well as the rest which is disappointing. They don’t even have the same type of comfy sunbeds, the bar area is run down, it’s not tidied well at the end of the day and it’s set away from the main hotel
Overall, it’s a nice hotel with lovely views. The town is close and worth a visit and it’s a good destination for some winter sun (we had temperatures of 23-24 most days) but we wouldn’t recommend this hotel as a family resort. The entertainment team work hard and try their best but there isn’t enough varied activities on offer in the day times and the entertainment in the evenings is 20 minutes of the same party dances and then on to adults entertainment which wouldn’t be of interest to children.

A very great holiday. We go here every year, for five years now. All 10 out of 10. I want to thank Vivi from Concierge services for the very valuable help, the personal touch and the fact that we are now friends. The ladies at the reception are also great, nice and funny. Thanks also to Mixalis for the way he took care of us in the main restaurant and for being our friend. All hotel staff are very helpful, kind, always ready to help. Everyone there says that we are one family here and we help each other in the family. I think management must be very proud of their employees, they are doing their best. Pleasant hotel, nice and clean rooms. They care about the environment, you can choose to change the sheets every day or not. Same with towels. The food in the main restaurant is excellent, everyone can choose from about 40 meters of tables. The a'la carte restaurants are amazing, where you can experience a culinary experience. The path to the sea leads between five translucent pools of different shapes, banana trees and palm trees. It is about 50 m. The beach is tidy, the beach chairs are clean. Beach towels, umbrellas and sunbeds are included in the price. Great guys at the beach bar spinning coke, sprite etc. The sea is amazing. I love him. Beautifully clear sparkling water, fine pebbles for painless walking on the beach. The sea is usually calm, even when the wind blows. I like to sit on the beach and look at the sea. Smaller Greek islands can be seen in the distance and Turkey on the left. In the evening there is entertainment at the hotel, singers arrive, various performances by acrobats, bonfires, etc. It is nice to have a mixed cocktail at the bar and watch the entertainment. Unfortunately, it is impossible to summarize how nice the hotel is and how satisfied we are here. We just love it here and I hope we can come again next year.
