At Little Mermaid Dive Center I did several fun dives and specialty courses with Roland and James for the Advanced Open Water Diver. The guys are outstanding, have a lot of knowledge and humour. The price-performance ratio is outstanding compared to other dive schools on Malapascua. Really recommend to everyone!

The resort is situated next to the beach in the row of several resorts and dive center's close to the pier, public market, restaurants and bars. We stayed in Double DeLuxe room nr 14 on second floor. Room is spacious and clean, there is air-conditioning available for 1000 PHP extra per day, fan is not charged extra. There is a small fridge in the room and safety-box in the wardrobe, but it is not mounted (fixed) to the wall. Wi-fi is not working at all. Bed is very comfortable, and you get 2 big pillow's per person. Sheets are clean and smell good. Cleaning is very good. You get 1 clean towel per day. Staff is very polite and helpful. Laundry service is available for 110 PHP per kg. It is not allowed to wash clothes by yourself. Breakfast is basic, you have 3 menues to choose from, and you get juice & coffee ot tea. Amazing dives (Cato Island cave dive highly recommended!), great staff, first class equipment. Roland will set yiu uo eith everything you need and Shanti is my favorite diving instructor evaaaah! Just perfect.

Pros: - DIs Marlene, Kath and Santi are amazing team and really lovely, kind and knowledgable ladies - Nice new Dive Shop at the forefront of the beach - Easy and convenient to set out for your dive anytime of the day - Coffee and water in the shop Cons: - Poor communication from the Dive Shop manager (make sure you know all the that you are paying for and ALL the possible additional fees before any course you take up with them) - Ronald is providing really poor customer service and even after openly admitting he had made a mistake he physically lift his hands up and said he cannot do anything about it (showing attitude and very poor emotional intelligence skills) - One can tell how making a profit is a higher priority to the manager than making customers happy and letting them go out with a smile (if you cannot fix the mistake, at least a honest ‘’I am sorry’’ would help, which is the least that a good leader and customer manager could do and what Ronald failed to do) - Old equipment (worn out and heavily torn wetsuites) that needs an upgrade…

This was a good find. The staff was very friendly, organized, and had good diving equipment. Unfortunately, the visibility wasn’t that great while we were there. The diving with the sharks is amazing and I highly recommend using this dive shop.

We loved our experience diving with Little Mermaid Dive Resort! My brother did the Advanced Oper Water Diver course and I tagged along for the five dives. Marlene and Andrius (“Andrew”) were fantastic instructors. They planned five dives where my brother was able to complete the skills for his course, but we were all able to enjoy amazing marine life at the same time- including two dives with the thresher sharks! Overall, we loved diving with Marlene and Andrew! They were knowledgeable about the marine life (Marlene loves sharks) and pointed out lots of interesting creatures (we saw a blue ringed octopus!), they took lots of pictures and shared them with us, they made sure we had fun, and most importantly made sure we were safe. Would definitely recommend diving with them.

We went to Malapascua with 2 friends for a week of diving, and did that with Little Mermaid. We just loved everything ! The dives, clean equipment, people, everything was here to make us enjoy every second. My friends even passed the SSI Advanced Aventurer course there. Great mood in that family atmosphere place. The dive center is not big, we felt it more enjoyable this way as you can easily meet very good people. All the guides are very friendly and yet professional. Thanks everyone (Marlene, Kath, Santi, Epit, Nonoy, and all others !!!) for that wonderful week ! :-)

I didn't stay at the resort, but dived with them every day for the week I was there. Dive guides are very professional, well organised, and overall a lot of fun to dive with! Cannot recommend these guys enough, and will definitely dive with them again next time I'm in Malapascua!

Very nice, big rooms for reasonable price. Sleeping comfort is very good and of course air condition and hot water works. The restaurant provide great food. Service staff is mostly friendly, some are very friendly. The owner, Arlene and her sisters are very helpful in each situation. Restaurant and Hotel providing a nice atmosphere. Diving equipment is almost new and in good technical condition. Diving staff very helpful, professional and very good in spotting underwater. Good Internet connection, Internet speed is ok. Strong recommendation for the Little Mermaid hotel, restaurant and dive school!

Unfortunately it RAINED while we were there, enough on one day to cancel diving so we were very happy when the Resort staff made us feel so welcome. Great diving finally, and a really good DM with great macro spotting eyes. The new wing is almost finished and we cant wait till we get back there to try it.
