Three of us took the advanced Open Water Certification with Nick as our instructor. Nick was VERY knowledgeable and excellent in transferring concepts and instructions. The dives were awesome - we dove Monad Shoal a few times and Thresher Shark sightings were a regular occurrence. The staff were friendly in and around the dive shop and Craic Cafe. After certification,...

We stayed at evolution for 6 nights. Apart from small improvements there was nothing to complain about. Pros: Clean and nice room, helpful and welcoming staff, 1 bottle of complementary water every day, eco-friendly, beautiful beach, well-organized dive center, a lot of movies on the tv (very useful when sick), aircon not blowing onto the bed :) (Small) Cons: The...

We had a great time staying at the resort. Food was splendid, accommodation very comfortable, staff friendly & kind and service be it all around the resort or on the boat when diving or on a trip, was considerate & caring. Basically, for the duration of the stay, service was everything one could ask for. The resorts bar/restaurant, ‘The Craic...

After a warm welcome we felt that we were in good hands at Evolution to do our OWD and our first, positive impression was right. Everyone was nice and motivated. Our diving instructor was an amazing teacher and he took enough time to explain/show/practice everything properly. We felt safe and comfortable during all our dives (course and fun dives) and...

We spent several days here and had a fantastic experience! The staff are warm and welcoming, diving is great with knowledgeable, attentive guides, and the restaurant/bar was very good. If you're going to see thresher sharks, I definitely recommend a stay at Evolution.

Pro's the room was nice. The grounds and bar area are also very nice. The staff in were all very pleasant, unmotivated wait staff but still not bad. Cons: The dive operation will waste your time and dives. I had one dive to Gato Island where they made the entire group surface at 30 minutes.....less than half way through my...

2 downsides - the fan may not be sufficient in warm evenings, and the wifi is restricted to the bar area. Other than that, the rooms are look new and clean and there's hot water. There is a balcony to dry clothes and also a basin to wash your feet before entering the building. Take note that as this is...

We've been to many dive resorts around the Philippines so for the long weekend we decided to spend 4 nights in Malapascua because of the famous thresher shark sightings. Evolution is a diver's heaven with comfortable rooms, a lovely stretch of beach for relaxing, a wide variety of well-thought out food at their restaurant The Craic House, and of course,...

We have just got back from this resort after a great weeks stay. The resort is well run, clean and has a fantastic vibe for both divers and none divers. Rooms are very clean and beds really comfortable, showers also very good. The diving is world class and getting up at 4.30 for the Thresher sharks is an absolute must,...
