Over a month of travelling around Philippines and this has been by far the most amazing and our favourite place to stay, even though it was during typhoon.
From the moment we walked in, we had a very warm welcome and were treated like part of the family for the duration of our stay.
The rooms are beautiful and very well thought out, all have balconies or small terrace where you can relax.
The main restaurant/bar area is also incredibly welcoming with comfortable tables and beds. There is a pool table, football table and various board games to keep you entertained.
Huge choice of food, so you really will never be bored of eating here.
I honestly can't praise this place enough!!

I would like to give a big "shout out" to the KoKay's Maldito Dive Shop on Malapascua Island, Philippines. This is the dive shop associated with the resort. Every aspect of my diving with them (10 dives) was fantastic! All the employees, from the dive operations ladies to the boat crew to the boat itself, were great. Especially the boat crew! They were so helpful in getting me in and out of the water, I could not have asked for better treatment. If you ever have a chance to go to Malapascua for diving, I HIGHLY recommend KoKay's Dive Shop.

We have eaten in here now 3 times and it has been excellent on each occasion. Food was well cooked to a high standard and quickly and efficiently served with a smile. The prices are very good and I highly recommend the chilli nachos if you are looking for a light lunch.

My only negative is one evening there was live music and it was oppressively loud.

Best diving shop on the island

We spoke to a few diving shops before we decided.
We were given a very warm welcome at this shop and immediately felt at home. The price/performance ratio is also very good.
The equipment is in great condition.

We were able to spend 3 days with the diving guide John.
He is very friendly and you feel like you are in good hands with him.
His many years of experience are also great.

Everything at the whole diving shop feels like family.

After diving you can also relax on the beach in the resort

I have just returned from my third trip to Malapascua and stayed for the second time at Maldito's. Once again the staff were fantastic in the hotel and in the dive shop. The manager of Dive Society is excellent and she couldn't have been more helpful. As the staff in the hotel have not changed on all of my visits it's good to see that when they are on a good thing they stick to it. Rooms were clean and tidy and I would rate the place 4 star. The diving is excellent and the guides were very impressive finding exactly what we wanted each time. I have dived with other operators here and I would have to say Dive Society were better in all respects. Transfers were on time and comfortable and not life risking as I've had previously.

Room Tip: Room 7, 12 and 14 are the best but each a little more expensive because they are larger. Note...

Fantastic resort on the best island I ve ever seen...it s really a paradise.
Starting from the first day with a watermelon juice as wellcome, the kindness of the staff has been incredible...the food at the restaurant is very good as well, honestly much better than the other restaurant in the area, even the Pizza cooked in a proper oven was better than the "italian" one close to it..(I am italian)...Rooms are very well designed and romantic.Sometimes live music band plays at night...it may bother if you want to sleep very early, but it s actually very soft...Hope to come back one day...

I stayed here last April 17.. And i had noticed that they are all friendly.
We left the hotel last April 18..not knowing that we also left our 1 small bag containing some my husband's underwater camera accesories..we just noticed it when we are here in Bohol already. After knowing that we left something, i rightaway called to this hotel and they had possitively answered that they have our bag and promised to send it here on the next day. And yes, we recieved the bag and all its contain completely.
Thank you so much guys. Mostly to your manager and team leader. If ever we will given a chance to visit again in Malapascua, I would like to stay in your hotel.

kokay's maldito dive resort , well I can say that this place is nice, what you will see in their website photos are the same when you see the place. we arrived early at malapascua and mariel, one of the staff allowed us for an early check in. Thanks to her we had a chance to freshen up. Me and my husband are all wet because of that bumpy boat ride ..

when it comes to food variety, they have a wide range of menu you can enjoy. ooh and they have this delicious ice cream, I think it's an italian ice cream. our room is pretty nice , we stayed in the room near the shore . from our room you can see the beach and there is a hammock to sit on and relax.

malapascua is a pretty laid back town , if you are looking for a place to relax this is the place to be. not congested and at night you can just seat , listen to the waves and watch the stars while enjoying your favorite drink..

After arriving to Malapascua with no reservations made for that night, I came upon Kokay's. They told me that the only vacancy they had was their premium room for 4200 pesos. I have to admit, after the receptionist showed me the the room, I was sold. It's nice. The price included a delicious hearty breakfast that they did not cut corners on. The staff is extremely friendly. Wifi didn't work in my room. Food is good, hotel grounds are clean and full of details to admire. Cool place. Enjoyed my stay.

The resort have a perfect location. I loved having my breakfast on the beach. The rooms was spacious but we were just thinking why they didn't have doors on the shower area. The only thing we didnt like about our room. Security needs improvement since the it is beachfront... the front area was open to public so if you want to relax by the beach by napping on the beach beds you need to check if some local kid is jumping on the beds or if dogs are trying to sneek in a nap before u. We even caught a dog sleeping on our bed. But we never complained cause I must say the staff were all super nice to us.

"Room 7, 12 and 14 are the best but each a little more expensive because they are larger. Note that there aren't any single beds or twins as a standard offering. As diving takes place at 4:30am if you want to see the Thresher Sharks it's an advantage to go to bed early!"
