My husband and I booked at Angelina at the recommendation of a friend. First of all, the night we arrived, we literally walked out of the ocean from our boat onto the beach in front of Angelina. We dropped our suitcases and asked for menus at the restaurant. After traveling for 24 hours, all we wanted was wine and food. The pizza was delicious! (Needless to say, we ate there at least three more times that week.) From the start, the staff was always attentive. They walked us to our room after dinner, where they had already moved our bags and turned on the AC. From then on, our room was always clean, and the staff was always helpful. Our Asia room was lovely with a seating area and balcony. The shower was great, except the drain would clog. We would definitely return.
Our suite was lovely and very large! It was very comfortable and we had a lovely seaview from our balcony which was a great place to enjoy early morning coffee. The staff members were polite and helpful. Make sure you have a meal at the restaurant too, the food was really delcious! Make sure you have the gelato, especially the mango flavour. :) Thank you Angelina and staff xxxx
Angelina was a wonderful surprise. The room was clean and we enjoyed the attention to detail in the interior design. The staff was friendly, nice, and very accommodating. One of our air conditioners in the 2-room suite didn't work, but we got by with opening the divider and using the ceiling fan, and heat was not an issue. The restaurant serves wonderful homemade pasta and gelato! Who knew a piece of Italian culture is thriving in a remote island off Cebu?! I loved it. Angelina is actually part of a group of resorts close together in the same area owned by Italians and serving Italian food.
Had a really pleasant stay at Angelina. We stayed at the Pinoy room and the kids occupied the room above. Both rooms were very spacious complete with recieving room and balcony. They were well equipped and clean. They only have 4 units to rent out so they sell out fast. Rates are more on the higher side compared to nearby hotels but well worth your money. Oh! And their restaurant is a must visit on the island. Food was just oooooh! So gooood!! Service was great. Kids loved the homemade gelato! The Italian couple were very hands on and friendly would hop from table to table chatting with guests. Staff was attentive as well. Will definitely stay again when we find ourselves back in Malapascua...
Amazing food, staff and owner. Considering you are on the remote island off Cebu this place can give a greta eating experience and if you are lucky the owner/ chef can cook up something special not on the menu for you! Will be coming back for more!
We enjoyed our 7 night stay at Angelina Beach. It is situated away from the main beach in a quiet cove. It was wonderful to watch the local kids doing their daily swimming training. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean. The bed was a little firm. We were worried about noise from the restaurant but this proved not to be a problem. The water pressure in the shower was barely adequate at times but this may be a problem on the whole island. The ice cream is NOT to be missed. It is sensational as were the meals we enjoyed at the restaurant. If you stay here please give Pygmy the Chihuahua a pat from us
It was a lovely hotel. At night we were woken up by loud sounds at the door at the window my frens and i were freaked out. then we realised the cats comes outside the door n scratch n make noises to ask us to let them in. The toilet knob is anti clockwise opening system that was abnormal. my frens were unable to open from inside the toilet and we finally cracked the code which is it turn anti clockwise. It was a big n cosy place. the toilet window is transparent and there was a staff that were at the tree taking something that was so shocking. thankfully we were not bathing or changing in the toilet. After pointing it out to the staffs there came to cover the window. The pizza was not too bad but aglio olio was bad plain.
The five of us (3 adults, 2 children) stayed in Caruso room and were very satisfied with our stay. The room was beautiful and big enough to accommodate us and was very clean. The balcony was overlooking the beach. The hotel is situated in the quieter part of Malapascua and we liked that because it was not crowded. Staff working at the restaurant were polite and the food was good (we have pizzas and pastas), but ice cream was really fantastic- especially mango.
Went to Angelina’s Italian restaurant. Tried the mango gelato; it was so good made with mangoes from the philippines. Tried the Hawaiian pizza; crust was thin but super good, I asked them to also make me an all dressed with mushrooms, green peppers and Milano salami and everything turned out excellent. The hospitality each time I go there is amazing, they service free drinking water and offer free Wi-Fi. We tried the pastas; I forget the names, one with black squid died pasta and a creamy seafood sauce and another with red tomato sauce shrimps and a large freshly caught crab; everything excellent. I strongly recommend this restaurant!!!
We stayed at Angelina resort for four nights, and are really happy with our stay. We had a nice sea view from our room and our private balcony. They cleaned our room everyday, and if you care about interiour design, this is the place for you. Beautiful wooden floors and exposed stone walls. The staff was friendly as well. In general I prefer eating local food on travels, but if you need a break from rice, the italian restaurant is nice. We paid a lot less for a lot more than other places we’ve stayed at during our 2 weeks in Cebu. I also recommend taking a motorcycle for 10 min (40P per person) to the northside of the island, Logon Beach. Beautiful white sand beaches and a stunning sunset. The only negative comment is that the wi-fi was annoyingly slow and the waterflow in the shower was non-existent. All in all, the best place we stayed at on our trip to Cebu. Would love to stay here again, especially if wi-fi is approved.…
