The online reviews and photos looked great (as most do). We checked in with front desk receptionist. We then followed her up two more flights of steps, she led us to a small room (room 9) with a queen bed, shared balcony. I showed her the reservation request for king bed- she shrugged her shoulders, said “this is all we have” and she then walked out. The WiFi was poor, no TV at all. Your “view” and beach access is Cemetery Beach (not joking). This was the first trip to Malapascua Island for my friend and I. Neither of us were happy. Rather than let a crappy reservation ruin the trip here, I just ate the 3-night cost of the reservation (~$300) and we found another place to stay. It was an easy decision.

We stayed over New Years and had a fantatsic time. From our first communications with staff about our trip to the organization of transport from Cebu Airport to Malapascua island, we received amazing service. Located on the southern tip of Malapascua on a quiet bay, the grounds were lovely, rooms simple, clean with fantatsic views of the ocean. Front office were great gicing us advice on diving and organizing massages and the nearby spa. Will definitely be back to Blanco and Malapascua soon!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas 2019. Very friendly staff and nice rooms. Run by Italians so food, coffee and overall design were of high standard. Unfortunately we were hit by a Type 3 Typhoon on Christmas Eve which was quite a frightening experience. If it hadn't been for the well built house we stayed in, the outcome could have been disastrous. Anyway, kudos to everyone at Blanco who made our stay very enjoyable.

We stayed in a Deluxe Room with balcony and a nice sea view. They assigned us a room on the upper floor as requested beforehand. The interior of the room was beautiful, mostly in white, with a big mirror at the wall. They provided free crackers each day which was a nice treat. The beach around the hotel is calm, but rocky, so not so suitable for a swim, so you might better go to Bounty Beach. However, there will be some boat traffic there. Breakfast was quite basic. We organized pick-up and drop-off at Cebu City with the hotel and it worked out perfectly.

Clean and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful service staff, no-frills breakfast available. Pros: Located near enough to the great dive shops of Malapascua, right next to the best Italian restaurants on the island, Italian quality beach towels available on request, strictly no smoking in the rooms. Cons: Only provides 2 500ml bottles of drinking water for your whole stay - but they allow you to refill your bottle at reception for PHP15 per fill. Would come again, definitely would recommend.

If you looking for a perfect stay on Malapascua, this is the place to stay. It feels like home, the staff are amazing, the owners are taking care of you like a part of the family. We spent our time at the resort during the typhoon, and the staff/owner asked us several times if everything was ok. They cleaned up and repaired all damages directly. Compared to our neighbour resort, they fixed the aircon and water in a flash. The staff are helpful, they are arranging trips, dives etc. The breakfast is lovely, bacon, omelette your own way (almost) sausages and fresh fruits and juices. Lulu and Cici is looking after you, if they don’t play hide and seek.

Dear Fredde, Thank for taking the time to give us your feedback. Unfortunately Ursula decided to strike the whole Island in one of the best day of the year, we are glad we had such a great persons within the resort which were willing to help wherever they could. Our biggest concern was not to ruin more a Christmas Day like Ursula did thus we all made everything we could to make your stay pleasant. We're also glad you have enjoyed our facilities and breakfast and overall you had such a great time here in Blanco. Cici and Lulu are also looking forward for your next visit. Thank you, Have a great day ahead, Best Regards, Blanco Beach Resort.

Rooms are spacious and well laid out. Soft sheets, a/c worked well and like the ceiling fan to keep room comfortable. We had the family room with twin beds (they changed from large bed to twins upon request at time of reservation) that were in one room (interconnecting- thus making it perfect for families). Family run boutique type hotel. Stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed the breakfast buffet- eggs made to order, crepes were very good, bacon, sausage and two baked goods (cake/ torte). Would have stayed for all our 7 nights on the island but they were fully booked for remaining days. Unfortunately some damage was sustained with Typhoon Ursula unfortunately striking on Christmas Eve. Wish them the best in making repairs - believe only family room and unit above sustained significant damage. Staff is extremely friendly, welcoming and well trained. Despite the typhoon, breakfast was prepared the next morning while the grounds were being attended to and damage assessed. This hotel is committed to some eco-conscious practices by offering water bottle refilling for a very nominal charge. Would not hesitate to return to Blanco Beach Resort in the future. And for comfort, would opt to schedule my vacation plan to coordinate with their availability. Since we were diving we didn’t make use of the private beach which is set up with chairs and beach beds. Chiaramente questo e’ un albergo di ottima qualita’. Buona fortuna con i ripari.

Dear Mvginhongkong, We're glad you took the time to review our resort. Unfortunately as said, Ursula badly strikes the Island in one of the best day of the year, we were actually shocked by the toughness and power this typhoon had brought but we were also amazed by all of you guys helping us to bring the resort back on his leg. We are actually glad and happy we had such an amazing team of people who had worked hand in hand with us, is something that we will never forget. A side of this, we're glad you have enjoyed so much our breakfast and our facilities and we do hope to see you and your family the soonest back! Thank you, Have a great day ahead, Best Regards, Blanco Beach Resort.

We had room located at their highest floor and there’s no lift, only steps so please be ready for a small hike 🤪. Room is very basic - there’s no TV and water coming out from the faucet has a sea water taste. Room is pricey. Location is very close to famous Italian restaurant Angelina’s.

Dear RiaConde, Thank you for taking the time to review our Resort, it has been a pleasure welcome you and we're glad you have choose Blanco Beach Resort as your made of stay in Malapascua. However, we would like to point out few things which we believe are good to know. As very well shown in our pictures, we're located on a top of the hill which consequently involve our guests to use stairs. Unfortunately there are no lift within the resort as well within Malapascua Island, where's the point to have a lift in an Island ? We're sure, you can count the "island lift" in a palm of a hand all around the world and sadly, we're not part of this very narrow circle. Sorry for that. Our room has all the amenities you might looking for : Wifi, Air-Con, Hot Water, Hair Dryer, Cabinet, Small Ref, Complementary Water Bottled, Coffe, Tea, Snacks, Safety Box, Veranda/Terrace, Ceiling Fan, Queen or King Size Bed, Extra Bed, Daily Housekeeping. More over, rooms has an area of 30SMQ which is quite big size, very comfortable and with Sea View. True, we do not have TV, if we would have had, we would have surely advertised in our pictures, but since we're located in a small island, TV is pretty useless as we would have depend on the internet connection and during bad weather, as well known, Malapascua hasn't great signal as you might have in the big city. Sorry for that. As said earlier, since Malapascua is small Island, there are no rivers and there are few water sacks underground, therefore water is been catch from a deep well which is located 300M from the Resort. Water might be a bit salty due to the fact that the mentioned underground water sacks dry out during the dry season. Said that, we do apologise if Blanco didn't met the standards you were looking for. We do hope that you will give us and Malapascua Island another shot by the next time. Have a nice day ahead, Best Regards, Blanco Beach Resort.

We stayed at Blanco Beach during our dive holidays in April. It’s a new hotel with small, simple, yet cozy rooms with beautiful sunrise/sunset views, depending on the room location. Staff is extremely Nice and helpful and attended to all our needs. They organized our boat transfer from/to Cebu. Breakfast is a good, offering fruits, cereals, eggs made to order, coffee, tea and juices. It has a nice small private beach with comfy beds and loungers. There are few Italian restaurants just a few steps away. Great pick for our stay!
