We were only in their restaurant, but since we tried it we couldn't stop going every day for breakfast and dinner. The food is homemade and very cheap!! Everything was delicious! I can't forget the taste of their chicken curry! The staff's attention is fantastic, thank you!!!!

I didn’t stay at Guanna’s however I will my next time in Malapascua! I was on the island for twenty days in April of 2022. Several times I enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of the staff while eating at there restaurant. Cherique one of the managers, Saide the server and the cook Marvie along with the other staff members were above and beyond excellent! Always welcoming and very attentive as soon as I arrived. The food was sooo good. The homemade bread was terrific as well.

The stay was nice. However, my gf left a soft teddy orca in the room. 100% it was left there. We packed in a rush. We tried to contact them and the number on Google doesn't even belong to the hostel, it's some random person who isn't even on malapascua. A friend went by to ask if they'd found it and they said they didn't. There's no chance this is true. One of the staff has taken it. NOT good service, and NOT what you expect from a hotel/hostel when you leave something behind. Normal practice is to contact the guest and arrange to mail it it or something. Unacceptable.

Willing to change this review if someone contacts us regarding this. It's of sentimental value to her.

I originally booked Room B (2nd room at the ground floor) for 2 nights Dec22-24. However due to typhoon Ursula, I had to extend for 2 more nights. Room has basic amenities, but very clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Sheets are fresh and crisp.

Food is delicious and service is quick.

Staff are very welcoming, warm, attentive, and friendly that you will feel very much at home.

On my 2nd night they held a Christmas Party dinner buffet attended by guests and friends of the people managing the accommodation. We were encouraged to join parlor games and attend a town fiesta dance party after. It was a night of fun and laughter.

Guests are also equally warm and friendly. I was a bit aloof at first but my co-guests made me feel at ease to mingle with them. (German, Finnish, and Norwegian)

Over all I had a great stay at Guanna's Place. The typhoon which was frightening became an opportunity to bond and create memories.

Thanks to all the staff and co-guests at Guanna's Place from Dec 22-26, 2019. Everyone made my trip at Malapascua Island worth to be cherished remembered.

Will definitely go back!

This hotel is in a great location next to the market for cheap food. Near Bounty beach and walking distance to the pier. I stayed 2 nights happily. It's clean enough and breakfast is pretty good. Only negative is careful on the stairs when wet I nearly fell down and wifi in room super weak mainly could only use in lobby restaurant area. They did give me a free lift to the pier on motorbike as it was raining so thanks! Also no hot water in my shower but wasn't cold anyway so refreshing. Alittle small bathroom but I made it work.

Today was my first visit for a simple but delicious cheese omelette breakfast with brewed coffee. The French bread was particularly good & service was fast. Ideal if you've a dive boat to catch. I will certainly come again while I'm on the island.

We stayed for 3 night at the end of our 30 days trip.
The bed was comfortable, the room very clean. The shower had no much pressure, but it was not a problem.
700Php a double fan room with bathroom and breakfast included.
Breakfasts were really complete, the bests in all our trip. And the restaurant was really good as well.
It's close to a market with some more places to eat (BBQ and other things) and some karaokes, but it's not annoying at all.
