It felt like home. We stayed here the last 2 weeks of January, 2020. Kevin and Brandon manage the property are are very attentive. They and their staff were always smiling, very helpful and polite. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the service was great, and in fact better than many four and five stars I have stayed at.

The property is a large hacienda right on the ocean converted into a hotel with 9 suites. The upper 6 suites are spacious rooms with a king, queen and 2 twin captains beds with the latter doubling as a sofa. The beds and linens are very comfortable. Ceiling fans and AC were also very effective. There are full kitchens (fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, and coffee maker) with balconies over looking the ocean. There is UK, Mexican and Netflix television on a large flat screen. The rooms are very clean with Mexican decor. The pool is cleaned once or twice a day, there is a pool table, and a foosball table. There are internet phones for calling Mexico, Canada or the USA. There is also free parking.

It is in an area that is very quiet and safe. There is extra security at night. There is an issue in that there was a person’s house called Casa Maria in Bucerias so sometimes maps show this location, but the hotel is just south of the Bartolovento. It is on the edge of town but you can walk down the beach or roads to Centro Bucerias. There were older couples staying here and walked to Centro every day. Taxi is about 100 pesos, bus/collectivo 12 pesos and Uber 45 pesos to Centro Bucerias. It is the same to La Cruz if you want a change of scenery, go to the Sunday market or get fresh seafood off the dock.

Casa Maria also offers breakfast for a few and other meals. We had breakfast each day and you could order standard American, Canadian or Mexican breakfasts. We have daily freshly squeezed juice. The Rancheros and chilaquiles were my favorites.

This is a new and sister property to one in Sayulita. Brandon and Kevin were daily improving and upgrading the property while we were there. While I do not want to tell everyone about this gem, I have to say that the little Casa by the ocean will probably become very popular. I really cannot say enough and hope to return soon.

We just spent 2 weeks here and loved it. It’s kept immaculately spotless and a perfect location right on the beach and just out of Buscerias far enough to enjoy the quietness of listening to the waves rolling in The breakfasts here are fantastic and it’s only a short bus/Uber ride to town to dine in the many varied restaurants. The spacious units all have balconies overlooking the Pacific and have ample cooking accessories. We are returning next year as we enjoyed our stay so much. The staff are so friendly and Brandon the owner/host caters to all one needs !

A small resort, seven units located on the beach front a 20-30 minute walk along the beach to the town centre of Bucerias. Ivan the manager is extremely helpful. He got us the groceries we needed for our arrival and organized trips for us with an excellent safe driver at a very reasonable price. Anything you need, just ask!

We stayed at Casa Maria last winter and made reservations for this winter before we left because we were so pleased with everything. We’ve been visiting the area for many years and were never completely satisfied before we found this property. We loved the location on the water but safely set back; the views; the charm of an authentic Mexican experience and the family caring above and beyond. The vibe is low key with guests respectful of each other. It’s quiet but close to Bucerias Centro with wonderful restaurants and charming shops. Our only disappointment is that illness prevents us from returning this year.

Casa Maria is a bit hard to find. North of bucerias on road to La Cruz, make a U turn just past the Barlovento. Stay close to the B and go down steep drive on right.
Rooms are huge and very clean, highly recommended in this regard.
Marie, the housekeeper is really on the ball and fixes all requests.
The reason for my 4 star rating is the fact it does take a bit of effort to get to the zocalo in town.
Options, walk of the beach, but it’s rocky for the first few hundred feet or so, then nice sand. It was about 30 minutes for me, but probably 20 for my son.
Taxi or Uber, Uber is cheaper and you pay in pesos.
Walk along beach to second lot and then walk along the wall with big slits in it, seen from the Casa M, which takes you up to side road to town. Saving walking on the freeway, which looked really dicey.
Hose taxi, is located just past rockey beach area, where you bargain for a one way horse ride to town. Nice horses.
Be sure not to miss the Sunday street market in La Cruz, now held at the marina. Good food options to take back to your room.

We stayed for 2 weeks in January at Casa Maria. The sunset and sunrise views of the ocean are spectacular. You can paint from your balcony or under the shaded gazebo which overlooks the ocean views of La Cruz. The beach walking is excellent. We walked 2.5km along the beach to Bucerias and La Cruz.

The rooms are massive and it is popular for short stays or longer three month stays. It is nice and quiet and you can hear the ocean waves at night.

The staff are very helpful and will always help you to order a pizza or call a taxi. We really enjoyed speaking Spanish to the staff as they are very patient and care for their guests. The rooms are cleaned perfectly everyday. There is no elevator so guests with mobility issues would have to stay on the ground floor room which are suitable for a large group or two families.

We can’t wait to book for next year since it fills up quickly during the winter months. The photos are views of sunsets and sunrises from the second floor balcony.

We had a great stay at Casa Maria. Brandon checked us in and immediately upgraded us to a suite. All the suites are huge and overlook the pool and Bahia Banderas. At night you can see the lights of Nuevo Vallarta. Beautiful sun rises and sun sets. Brandon, Kevin, Ramon and the rest of the staff were all friendly and were always asking if we needed anything. It's about a 30 min walk on the beach to the center of Bucerias or about 5 min. on the colllectivo or 15 min. to the Mega store and banks for 15 pesos or 50 pesos for a taxi. The Casa Maria is a family owned and run business so they are very interested in customer satisfaction. The Family also owns a slightly larger resort in Sayulita. " El Pueblito de Sayulita." Brandon took us on a tour. It's very nice also. We would stay at Casa Maria again.

My family of 7 stayed on the main of Casa Maria a quiet and relaxing hotel. Ivan was always at our disposal to help answer our questions or point us to a private beach that only locals knew about. We had 3 bedrooms 4 bathroom main floor with massive kitchen and a pool table and foosball table. My family loved walking on the beach looking for shells or swimming in the massive pool. The ocean is rocky but no one is ever out there and it’s paradise. The two wonderful cleaning ladies helped keep the place tidy. There is staff onsite 24 hours a day, the night security/maintenance gentlemen was kind enough to order food for us to be delivered due to our late arrival. Everyone that works here is amazing. Beds and bathrooms are clean and huge. We had a vehicle but you can easily walk into town on the beach or along the road. We felt very safe and comfortable here. The pool is way bigger than the picture make it look

Stayed for 3 days and wanted more, but that's all available. Rooms were very large and typical Mexico long wait for hot water. View was amazing and found the employees wonderfully helpful. Security even washed our car for us. We enjoyed watching oyster divers and whales from our rooms porch. Easy 3-4 minute walk down beach to restaurant with beach service. I recommend Casa Maria on many expat sites, cause dog friendly. I like the fact it is a little hidden. It makes you feel safe. 3min walk either direction down beach to easy swimming areas. It is not new sheak Nuevo PV. It is comfortable Mexican with a pool and view for a great rate. We will be back...

I am usually fairly forgiving of locations that do not accurately portray themselves in Airbnb, however not this time.
First, this place is right below the busiest part of the highway going north out of PV. The traffic alone kept us up all night.
Second, the room we had was very run down, didn’t have towels until I asked for them, we couldn’t stand under the fans because we thought they were going to fall off, the shower was only cold water.
Getting there was even more interesting. They have no signs so if you are driving or taking a cab, it is extremely difficult to find. They also don’t mention that two doors down is a huge construction project that creates much noise and all but drowns out the sounds of the water.
Finally, you are near nothing out there. A better than 20 minute walk into Bucerias is the closest restaurant.
The on-site staff were fine but you had to ask for things to be done.
All in all, save your money and don’t stay here.

Esta el hotel en la playa? Gracias
