Relaxing, free wifi, free parking, excellent food preparation, friendly staff, value for money, updated website details, clean ficility, 24/7 secured facility with cctv security, free parking, swimming pool.
If you're looking for simple and enjoyable place, try the live band and the karaoke dancing.

Reservation Process -- Easy. Been planning this trip for a month and have just been talking to them via email so as not to ruin the surprise for my partner. They were very accomodating and
easy to talk to. Everything went according to plan.

Special Request -- Perfect. The things they've selected for the package -- flowers, card, cake room setup and wine -- they're all very tasteful. My partner loved all of them.

Room -- Very Good. I reserved the Deluxe Penthouse Seaview Room with a Special Package for my partner's birthday. The veranda is very spacey; we thought they should put something usable there like beach beds. The room is very quiet, and large! The closet it big, also has a safe to put in your valuables. It would’ve been better if there’s a light above it coz it’s pretty dark in the closet area. The room also included a small refrigerator with a few refreshments, which is nice coz we don’t need to go down to the resto to order. 2 bottles of water are complimentary, plus electric kettle is available to use if you want coffee (2 sachets of Nestle 3 in 1 coffee are on the house, too.). Bathroom is good as well. The television sometimes loses signal and has a very weak connection, so it’s static and has very few channel options. The window facing the sea has a perfect view of the outside, except that at night, the outside has a perfect view of the inside of the room as well, even with the wooden blinds down, so we have to change clothes in the bathroom coz we felt so exposed. It would be better if they’ve installed curtains too, or change their choice of blinds.

Also, it rained the night of our stay, so we preferred to stay in the room and rest. We wanted to order massage service, but since there is no intercom in the room, I needed to go outside in the cold, find cover under our roof, and wait for a waiter to pass by below. It’s hard because it’s a hassle to order food or get any service when it’s raining.

Beach and Pool -- Perfect. On day 1, the beach is all covered with brown see weeds, so we thought of just swimming in the pool for the day. The pool is small, but since it’s off peak, only a few people are there, so we still enjoyed it. The jaccuzzi is really nice as well. The next day, the beach cleared out, and the water is really, really clear! Too bad, waves are too calm for surfing, but perfect for swimming!

Overall, I would recommend this resort to everyone. It is really relaxing, and staff is very accommodating. We are definitely going back, planning to do it in a yearly basis! :)

Thanks P & M Final Option, you made my partner’s birthday a very memorable one. Cheers!

What can I say? Do not let the name decieve you. I booked here with no expectations since I am not familiar with San Juan. I usually go to Bauang so I really did not have high expectations since the resorts there are really crappy. But when I got here, first words I uttered were WHAT THE???? JACKPOT! The place is clean and private. Area is sufficient for guests to move around even if resort is full (only 14 rooms anyway so really not that much guests). Staff are attentive. Food prices were suprisingly affordable and have a wide variety of choices. I will definitely come back and would recommend this to friends. Another fine example of German ingenuity since the owner is German. Only suggestion is for them to have a means of transportation to the main road to the resort since it is located at the end of the road.

At first, we had a great time with our 3 nights stay. Very good service from the staff of the German bistro and resort cleaning lady. It was only when we were about to leave. When I approached my car to load our things, someone was spray painting his motorcycle, which of course worried me because my car was only 3 feet away from the bike. I called the attention of the person spray painting and I immediately transferred my car to avoid the mist of the spray paint. I calmly reported the incident at the reception area and was able to talk to the supervisor (half German guy) and eventually was able to talk to the German owner (who by the way did not admit that he was the owner). Both of them were just so defensive with my concern that they were not listening. This is not the customer service anyone expects from the ultimate decision maker of the resort! It was as if they were thinking that I just wanted to make money out of my customer concern. They actually didn’t believe me until they called their construction workers and asked if indeed it was true that someone was spray painting. When confirmed, mind you, that was the only time they apologized. There was No commitment on their part to have my car repaired (if proven by a professional that my car was damaged by the spray painting done).

While having my stay at the resort, I was already organizing/planning of coming back together with my family which I think we will be able to occupy the whole resort, but after this incident on how I was treated by the half German supervisor and the German owner, this plan will definitely not push through.

The long and short of this review is that, their staff gave us great service but the supervisor and the owner, FAILED in customer service. That’s a shame. They both avoided my valid customer concern.

Good reviews brought me here. Arrived a few minutes after 10am to have breakfast but sadly, they no longer serve breakfast. Resto staff doesn't seem pleased with my visit. Didnt bother to offer me anything.

Location is far from the go-to places and popular eating spots in La Union. We had an overnight stay here, we were aware that checkout was at exactly 12 noon, we went out for lunch and got back at the hotel at around 12:30 and the staff rudely took our things out of our room without even calling us if we want to extend our stay. SMH, how rude! they just piled our things outside and even accused us of not leaving any contact number. Of course we left a contact number when we checked-in they even asked us to fill up a form before handing us the key to our room. I won't stay at this hotel ever again.

One of the best resorts in La Union, it is located right at the beach which was very clean and uncrowded. It is obviously maintained with great care so it looks new even if it's been in operation for several years. The roofdeck and the Bistro's balcony provides a wide view of the sea which is so refreshing. The staff are well trained, warm and efficient. They seemed genuinely happy with their jobs that the end up giving excellent service.
When going to beaches, I usually opt for a non-aircon room. In other resorts, fan rooms are usually the most run down rooms but this is not the case for Final Option's Bahay Kubo. It seems more of a resort decoration than an actual room. It was very clean and well ventilated. It even has it's own little balcony where you could watch the sunset in the afternoon and listen to the waves. The toilet and bath is not in the room itself but is on the lower level so it can be bothersome. People who are particular about privacy might feel rather uncomfortable as the inside of the room is a bit visible to the outside when the windows are propped open. They do have spacious aircon rooms so this is a better alternative for those who want more privacy. My children loved the room so much that we decided to extend an extra night and they made me promise to come back
They have surfing lessons and surfboard rentals.
They provide musical entertainment at night. They have singers and an open karaoke.

Good Friday is the summer holiday in the Philippines and I guess this made things more complicated. So, we made our reservations a month in advance, deposited our down payment to a designated account and made our plans accordingly. Part of this plan was to spend a night at Final Option to break the 600-kilometer drive from Pagudpud. When we got to the hotel we were told that the guests occupying what were supposed to be our rooms, a Customs Collector Villanueva, refused to leave and the manager could do nothing about it.
And this is what's pathetic about tourism in the Philippines - boorish and arrogant petty government officials who throw their weight around.
The staff tried settling us in another hotel nearby but we declined and instead drove home to Manila the same night.

Terrible place. Would not recommend. We had to get a hot water jug couple of times to use it for baby and each time we had to pay 50 pesos... I have been traveling for very long time but never found such a greediness in any hotel... Also my 2 year old son found a glass on the beach. Dangerous. Loot of littering on the beach plastic cups, broken bottles. People from Manila come for hollidays and litter everywhere... Disgusting... Food is fine and staff accommodating yet resort its self and surrounding did not impress me... Will never come back...
