Rude service, do not help with anything including getting new sheets, VERY EXPENSIVE with NOOO amenities!! Even the Internet would go off and on. I would have rathered stayed at a better place like Juliett's or Coconut Bayy or in Ladera. THIS is the worst DON'T STAY HERE STAY AT KIMITRAI

Kabran should be your last option in Vieux Fort. The room was very basic but what can you expect for $65 a night. I used my credit card once in St. Lucia at Kabran and then the next day I had $1000 in fraudulent charges on my card. Don't stay here.

We'd advise against staying here. It is inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. The room was dirty, the toilet didn't flush, and there was a loud local party going on well into the middle of the night. We were very uncomfortable here, and left after one night.

I've stayed at the Kabran for extended periods several times over the past few years. While it's not 4-star by American standards, it's a good, clean alternative in a great location. If you are expecting to spend the first night of your honeymoon here, you may be disappointed. On the other hand, if you seek a clean room near the beach and you're wiling to forego topnotch amenities the Kabran is a great choice. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast is good and personalized, and the rooms are clean an decent.

I found this hotel to be safe, comfortable, in a great location (10 minute walk to beach and bars) and the staff to be a joy. I stayed for over a week, had breakfast each morning, a few night caps at night in their bar, even used the "spa" -- a massage in the hotel as well. Room was cleaned every day, even when I left late in the afternoon and didn't expect my room to be serviced, it was. My only complaint is the church next door that plays their music too loud, but they didn't go late into the night, but you may want to ask for a room facing the street and not the neighborhood. Maybe the people who had complaints had them with the former owners, because I thought it was great for about $75 a night.

Hotel name changed recently. Took driver 20 MINS to find, Half a toilet paper roll, small soap only, room large but spartan furniture worn. Decent breakfast.ONE STAFF MEMBER on call at a time. PLEASANT BUT WHEN SHE SENT US TO THE BEACH -DID NOT WARN US OF A SHANTY TOWN THAT WAS RIGHT BEHIND IT AND HOW DANGEROUS THAT AREA IS! DIRECTION AWAY FROM TOWN IS SAFER WITH A KITE SAILING AREA. OUR BEACH BAG WAS RANSACKED- IPHONE, MONEY AND ITEMS STOLEN WHILE we were PLAYING IN THE WATER IN OUR FIRST 2 HRS. ON St. Lucia. TAXI DRIVERS WELL AWARE OF THIS DANGER. NEARBY POLICE STATION USELESS! wasted 3 hours of our time even when told we had a taxi waiting kept saying we need to come back that we need to make a report but refused to actually proceed to make one. Police officers were in plain clothes would not identify themselves. would not give any documentation to make insurance report. AVOID! RUINED OUR VACATION!

My first choice was The Reef but they were full and my local contacts recommended Kabran, now called Clear Sky Hotel. It was walking distance (in the daytime) to The Reef for kiting/windsurfing and the beach, or a short EC$1.50 bus ride away/EC$20 taxi ride. My experience at the hotel was good - service from reception staff was very good and they were very helpful, the breakfast I requested was served with no problems, and the room was clean, had air conditioning and hot water. I was a little worried upon reading some of the reviews here but am pleased to say it turned out to be fine and the best second option in the town.

Okay, it was an emergency (canceled flight) that put us here at this hotel in Vieux Fort for a night. That being said, you need to be aware if you find yourself in the same situation avoid if at all possible! It's a below basic hotel that is more of a hostel at best. The management although courteous and pleasant are not there for a good amount of the evening. It's in a very poor/shanty area of town with plenty of folks who will give you pause for venturing out at all. There is a very basic snack bar for breakfast. Bring lots of bug propellent if you get stuck here as the room was filled with mosquitos.

i considered it lucky not to have a cool shower every day.
seems like a hotel would invest in a boiler and not just rely on solar power and a too small talk on the that gets used up very quickly even at the end of a day.
