I won’t recommend this hotel at all. The worst service in the world. In the middle of peak winter they decided to turn off the heating. It was freezing and we had a small baby. She was keep waking up every 5 mins and crying because of cold. She got flu and cold now.All the windows were single glazed and no one at the reception to make a complaint. Emergency phone number not at all helpful , no one answered the phone. So disappointed with our trip. 29th November 3.50 morning I’m writing this review from our cold room .

We stayed here for a night away for my wife’s birthday and we weren’t disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the receptionist (Elise) who even pointed out that we were just in time to make the last 20 minutes of Happy Hour in the bar!!!! Once we’d had a quick look at the room, which was pleasant but nothing special, we took advantage of Happy Hour and then moved into the restaurant for what was a wonderful meal. I’d already seen reviews and expected a fairly limited menu so wasn’t surprised when it consisted of 3 options per course. We were both really impressed with our choices and would consider the quality that of a fine dining establishment. We were then presented with the bill and even happier as it was very reasonable!! We finished the evening with another drink from the bar and sat in the lovely, comfortable reception area chatting to Elise again who was happy to talk about the hotel and future plans. The room was comfortable and we had a nice sleep before heading back to the restaurant for breakfast, which again was wonderfully presented and really tasty. All staff we encountered were very friendly and made us feel welcome and the food was amazing. A lovely night away.

What a beautiful historical building! Such an interesting place with wonderful features. Lovely welcome from lady on reception. Dinner with friends was just great. Excellent service. Limited choice of food but fine for us four and very tasty indeed. Coffee after dinner in room with jukebox and various games! All in all a great evening and will certainly be repeated. We also very much appreciated the brochures we were given about the fascinating history of the building. Thankyou.

My partner and I stayed for one night and the hotel looks lovely, it was very picturesque. Staff were all lovely and very friendly, couldn't fault them at all and they helped us get a wren out of our room who had somehow snuck in! Sadly we didn't get to enjoy the bar or restaurant for dinner as they strangely didn't have any lemonade which I have as a mixer, so we headed to the local pub down the road instead for dinner so I could enjoy my favourite tipple. We did have breakfast in the morning though which was very nice and the restaurant was beautiful. Our bedroom was nice and clean, but the bed was uncomfortable as the mattresses were quite hard (we had 2 twins pushed together) and my partner had a sore back the next day. Overall, we liked the venue, were very impressed with the service and enjoyed our stay, but just disappointed with the comfort of the beds and soft drinks available.

Dear P9754XRjenniferw, Thank you for your review. Glad to you hear that the team were friendly and offered assistance when required. So sorry to read your comments regarding the bed in your room. New mattresses arrived on 11th November and are now present in bedrooms, which will ensure a comfortable stay for all our guests. We had cases of lemonade in stock during your stay. Sorry to hear that you headed to the local pub to enjoy your favourite tipple. Do let me know when you next plan to stay and we can make your stay memorable for the right reasons. We look forward to your next visit. Best regards, Douglas General Manager

We stayed at the Karma Salford in mid-October and were very impressed in several ways, not least by the excellent service from the staff. I had a hot stone massage and it was absolute bliss - I'd come back just to have that again!. The food was very good, somewhat limited choice as there were staffing problems as in most hotels at the moment. Our room (in the annexe as we had our dog with us) was lovely with a huge bathroom. Another plus was the snooker table - great fun. We'll definitely be back for another relaxing stay.
