Stayed here for a week in August. Perfectly located (5 mins to the town's center on foot) with views as stunning as in the pictures if not better. The owners Miguel and Marc are always around and the surf instructors are great. Super chill atmosphere.
We enjoyed our stay at Laneez, it had a stunning view of the water. It’s about a 7-10minute walk to the main town area, so not centrally located but Ericeira is small. We stayed in the Sintra room facing the street and due to the location, with a gas station across the way and cars coming off the highway, it was very loud to keep the windows open at night. Due to this, the room was pretty warm, which didn’t give us the best sleep. A fan might have helped the situation. I would advise choosing a room facing the water. The host was very nice and overall it was a nice place to stay in Ericeira.
Just arrived back from a fabulous time at Laneez as part of my birthday celebrations. The house is amazing - modern, exceptionally clean and cozy, with chilled vibes and wonderful views! Everyone is welcoming and friendly from the owners, staff and the people we met staying there. Multiple surf lessons for all levels were organised daily, with transport to and from the beach, wetsuits, boots and boards included. All the surf instructors were fantastic and we really progressed during our week’s stay. The house is situated a few minutes walk from Ericeira centre and the beach, where you will find lots of lovely little cafe’s, bars and restaurants - didn’t have a bad meal at any of them. We absolutely loved it here and one of the best surf holidays we have ever had - will definitely be going back again! …
I did research where to stay for my family of 5 and couldn't have been more pleased with this place. It is in an amazing location at the top of a cliff overlooking the beach. A very short walk into town with lots of restaurants, surf stores, bakeries, and ice cream to choose from. We were welcomed right away and made to feel comfortable and at home. There is a nice common area (living room) where breakfast is served in the morning. At night the deck was well used with people from all over gathered at a table talking and enjoying a glass of wine. I was pleased my kids (and I) got to interact with people from all over the world and exchange stories in a casual setting- you do not get that interaction everywhere. They have a mini-bar available there for your convenience as well (reasonably priced). Our family was split in two separate rooms which worked well for us all. My husband and boys can surf, so they rented boards and went out with the group to the beach. It was all easily arranged and Mark/Miguel were very accommodating. This is an authentic and knowledgeable surf staff who want to ensure their guests enjoy their surf experience. My husband is gluten free and they also provided gluten free items for breakfast. And finally, as we didn't have a car on this trip, they arranged a taxi ride for us into Lisbon on short notice. I can see us returning again given how special this place is. Thank you for your hospitality and great memories.…
