Had an awesome week at Magikvanilla! I stayed there with my boyfriend from Sep 12-19 2020 and could not recommend it more. We met the most amazing group of people there and just had a fantastic time and Susie and Steve, the owners, were great. We signed up for the surf and yoga package and thoroughly enjoyed both. Never felt concerned in terms of health and safety standards as they had COVID-19 safety protocols and processes in place (e.g. sanitiser everywhere, temperature checks before each surf lesson, masks in small confined places such as the drive to and from surf lessons). Steve was our surf instructor and I really felt like I progressed with my surfing under his guidance. We stayed in the Duke suite (one of the private bungalows) which had the necessary amenities you needed and is comfortable. It's less than a 5 min walk from the town and beaches and right opposite a huge supermarket. Absolutely fell in love with town! Great location, great people, great time. We are planning to come back next year and hopefully, improve our surfing and be closer to riding green waves!!!…

Had an amazing week at Magikvanilla! Surfing lessons (so many tips) and the vibe at the surfhouse (very relaxed) are really great. Booked so much progression with my surfing within one week. Also Ericeria is a really nice town with a lot of nice restaurants and shops. Many thanks Steve and Susie for the wonderful time at Magikvanilla, hope to come back to your camp real soon!

I stayed at Magikvanilla for the third time this year. 1st time was in 2014 in one of the first seasons of the camp ever. 2nd time in 2019 and third time in 2020 during the Pandemic. Each time I enjoyed the stay a lot. Not only is the whole camp super well organised, clean and offers lots of space to hang out, sleep in the sun or meet other guests, but the staff makes the stay great as well. Though it changes almost each year, Steve and Susie manage to always find kind, respectful, open-minded and cool people who are working there. The surf lessons are super fun and the instructors try to give everyone the best experience no matter how fast or slow people progress on the board. During 2020 Pandemic, Steve and Susie made incredible efforts for everyone to stay healthy but also have an enjoyable time in Ericeira as well as the camp itself. I recommend staying at Magikvanilla and will be back for a fourth time for sure.…

My boyfriend booked a week at Magikvanilla, just after we could enter Portugal again after the lockdown. The best decision ever! Although it was quiet at the surfhouse, the atmosphere was amazing! Steve, Susie and Marisa made us feel extremely welcome and at home. We much appreciate how they did their utmost best to create a relaxt and fun experience for us, both with surfing as well as in the surf house. They made the whole house and trip to the beach corona-proof, our private bathrooms were cleaned every day, everywhere in the house there were hand sanitisers and in the car we were wearing masks. Everyone felt the responsibility to make it a save environment.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our booking but our experience with the very friendly staff was extremely good and the things we hear from others are fantastic as well, so we'll definitely try again next year!
