We really enjoyed our stay at Buena Ventura, Brian is very accommodating. The room is very clean, spacious, good for our family of 3. My 3 year old son enjoyed the stay very much. The pizza is homemade, very very good!!! Absolutely worth it! Looking forward to visit again! From, The Hartmanns
Brian, the proprietor, really made sure that we can pass the check point bound to sipalay, what a relief that was to us, or else the one day vacation and all our preparation for it will be gone to waste, the place is cozy which I find very suitable for relaxation to get away with all the city noise, Brian, sees to it that we will enjoy our meal ( and we did ) the room is clean and accomodations is superb, a really nice place to visit and enjoy the beach. Thank you very much, we are looking forward for our next visit.
Wherever you stay, if close go there for a pizza or any other delicious meal Buenaventura has to offer! It's a bit hidden in the bushes but totally worth the journey, enjoy the atmosphere & the sugarbeachspirit. Thank you Brian! :D
Our stay at Buenaventura Beachresort was quite nice! We arrived at the place at around 12:30 pm and they allowed us to check in early since the room was already available and ready. The travel going to sugar beach from Sipalay City might take around 30 to 45 minutes. You may hire a tricycle (P100 to P150) to drop you off the port where there are small boats that will cross you by the river. Crossing the river will cost you P5 to P10. When we got there, a young boy offered to drop us off in front of the resort, but you will have to cross the sea and he charged us P100. There are no life vests, so this is not recommended. Go through the side and just cross the river. Once you get to the other side, you can walk along the shoreline. This may take 15 to 20 mins walk, so if you are carrying big bags, it might take a while to get there. The resort is near Big Bamboo Resort. Turn right once you see the big bamboo signage. It's a good 50m from the beach front. We rented a room with 2 beds. For the price, it was well worth it. Kuya Brian and Ate Cheche (the owners) were so helpful and accommodating. They offered to refund us when the TV was not working. They also helped us with the boat ride to the terminal going to the van going to the airport (confusing, I know. 😂). The food was so good. There are only a few people so it was quite and relaxing. The sunset is gorgeous. A perfect escape from the busy life in Manila. Will be sure to come back! …
My husband and I enjoyed there so much. It always nice to be back there. It is kind of a long way to get there from Hong Kong to Negros Philippines. However, when we got there. It was well worthy. The place looks nice and neat. The room is nice and clean, good room size, there are Fan rooms and air con rooms. They are helpful and friendly. I asked for a fish and chips dish, it came out wonderfully. The owner Brian and the family are THE Super Cool Dudes! Even the guests too, it is so relaxing. We take that as our second home! The facility is great! Just 50m walk to the beach. The food is delicious! The price is reasonable. The new menu is well done. The most we loved is Pizza,Fish and Chips, Pesto, Chicken....Everything is just perfect! No disappointment at all. Only the connection of WiFi is weak. However, it is NOT an issue for us.…
Me and my wife had an awesome stay here while exploring Sugar Beach. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Everything works as it should. Very peaceful and comfortable stay and great food. Best Fish and Chips we have had in the Philippines. Brian the owner is a great host, we highly recommend this place
I have been traveling the Philippines solo on a pretty tight budget. This place was perfect for what I wanted, cheap private room with great amenities, very close to the beach. The beach is beautiful and the resort is very comfortable
I stayed here with my friend for a couple of nights during our motorbike trip around Negros. Was supposed to to stay only 1 night but because the good food (pizza delicious) and the friendliness of the owner and staf, we extended our stay. Higly recomended and hopefully will be back soon.
Buenaventura Beach Resort is a very green and quiet place. It’s perfect to enjoy a relaxed holiday. Each room comes with a nice terrace facing the garden. Due to the garden is very green you stay „invisible“ on your terrace while reading a book in a hammock. The small team of Buenaventura serves all customer very friendly and super customized. WiFi, water refill and coffee is free of charges at any time. Roomservice, laundry is done very well and quick. The kitchen of Buenaventura is very delicious and definitely the best Pizza on the beach (advanced order recommended ;) - 3weeks past super quickly and I would have loved to extend. Thank you Brain for being such a good host. Very well done! :) Melly
