Loved this place, my second time here. This is one, if not the only, resort that has the best Wi-Fi so far. The food was great throughout all the restaurants we visited, specially the ceviches, we could have eaten ceviche every day. Regarding the service, these are some of the people we encountered that were amazing to us: Maria at Portofino, she was all over since they were short staffed that night and she still took care of us; Felipe and Alfonso at the beach preferred were great; Evelyn, Sandra, and David at Seaside Grill lunch were so attentive and super helpful; Luiz and Manuel at World Café for dinner were great as well; we spent some time at the preferred lounge and Cinthya at the bar was amazing; Virginia from El Patio was great; Andres at the gym was great as we took his class in the mornings; Jeimmy at the new Bistrot restaurant was great; Guiselle at Portofino for preferred breakfast was so great and friendly. Special shoutout to Luis from Barracuda pool, he was so amazing, even brought me a cupcake for my birthday by the pool. Luis and the rest of the team by the pool work extremely hard to accommodate everyone and getting chairs under the sun, and some people wouldn’t even thank them. I would recommend to the morning hike and/or sunset hike, amazing views and great experience. We took tour to Nicaragua for a day with Frank the Tank Tours, it was amazing seeing the volcanoes, experiencing the local cuisine, and visiting different towns. I think my only negative is not having more bathrooms by the pools. Depending on where you sat, you would have to walk a lot to get to bathroom. …

One of the best all inclusive hotel in Costa Rica. Food is amazing compared to the other hotels. Location is a bit far away from San José. So better land in Liberia. Staff are the best, you will not find their customer service anywhere in Costa Rica.

This resort was absolutely gorgeous. The service was satisfactory throughout. This is not an “older people” place. It needs to be made easier for elders to get rides to and from places. There are zero benches on walk ways for older people to take breaks from walking to and from places. Good resort, but not amazing. The food was ok. Room service was excellent. Views were excellent. Pools were clean. Rooms were clean. Beds were very hard. Concerned the floors were never very clean though, I saw the mop water, yuck. They use the same mop on the sidewalk as they do in your room.

This was our second time at Dreams Las Mareas, and we were completely blown away by the fantastic customer service. Specifically by Hassler. He made it a point to make our trip unforgettable. We came for a short trip for a wedding on the beach. The resort is very clean and maintained well. Staff is excellent, well trained, and very positive - above and beyond, really. Some five monkeys live in the area and were a huge delight- so entertaining. What a joy. The beach is clean, and we enjoyed hiking around the bay and seeing some amazing birds. The beach wedding went off very well and all had fun. No skimping on drinks. The food at the restaurants was all very good and plentiful, although the beef- virtually all thin cut everywhere, tended to be always well done.

Fabulous holiday with a group of girl friends. Good points Fantastic staff including Maria concierge, Sylvia chef, bar staff maurico, Rosita, Vielka, Connie & Ethel and the wonderful Pamela. Wildlife The monkeys, iguanas, birds. The grounds and gardens were impeccable Food The standard was great in all the restaurants including the buffet. Our favourites were the Asian and French Free room service food was great Entertainment staff They were welcoming and fun without being intrusive Evening and daytime musicians were good Drinks Selection was great, discovered new cocktails Areas for improvement Consistency in house keeping. Some days the room had towels and restocked mini bar and coffees other times not. Attention to detail on cleaning could be improved Waiting times for speciality restaurants We waited nearly 2 hours one evening. There is no system for booking. Main hotel bar: rendezvous This is the only bar open in the evening. It is noisy, busy and drinks served in plastic glasses at times Other guests We experienced big groups of loud and sometimes rude guests who dominated the lower pool, impacting on our enjoyment. They played their own loud music and didn’t respect personal space. Reserving beds with towels and only using the sun beds for minimal time was common practice and not policed by resort staff There were numerous weddings and corporate events that restricted areas of the hotel at times. The beach Was public not owned by hotel, had local vendors. All said we had the best time. We chose Dreams for our honeymoon destination and it was the best choice. The resort itself is absolutely stunning, the variety of food is great, the service is top tier and the workers are incredibly kind and helpful. We loved having access to the preferred lounge and definitely thought it was worth it. If you’re worried about booking this spot for your honeymoon because it’s family friendly, book it! They make such an effort to make your honeymoon so special for you and we were beyond happy.

75 degrees on room temperature if you not used to benign hot you not going to like it, the food is great and the pools as well, the beach is ok not clear waters and it was a stingray that sting another person
