From the check-in to the check-out, the staff was absolutely amazing. There were nice touches at every step. Our room was impeccable and had beautiful views of the cliffs, with the soothing sound of waves crashing in front of the balcony. The waves were loud but we slept with the french windows open. The hot tub and sauna were small but nice and operating at a good standard - just remember to get changed in your room. The restaurant was excellent too, with modern and creative cuisine, a nice change from the island's average (not that the traditional cuisine in average is bad!), with local wines to pair with. Breakfast was a really good buffet with plenty of healthy and local options. I cannot wait to go back and spend more time there.

Upon check in we were given a pouch of Mask and hand sanitizer, discount voucher for the restaurant, free of charge entrance tickets to the natural swimming pool, we booked our jacuzzi and sauna time slot (the jacuzzi and sauna are on the top floor overlooking the ocean). The room we had was very spacious, clean and has a very nice view of the ocean and natural lava swimming pool. The welcome maderian cocktail and a welcome chocolate were so heart warming. Bathroom is spacious and completed with sleepers and bath robes. All are sparkling white. We used the discount voucher to eat at the hotel restaurant. And we were very delighted with the quality of the food. I can say I am good in cooking and sometimes can be a bit picky in term of food quality served in the restaurant but this restaurant is good (except the Japanese style pasta... I am ready to give the chef a little help to ameliorate the taste ha ha). Breakfast was more then correct. All the staffs of this hotel are excellent and professional. We had three pleasant day in this hotel. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. And will surely go back.

There’s so much to like about this hotel. The staff really made you feel welcome, and were attentive, friendly and helpful. Even in the weeks before arriving we were impressed by the way in which our queries by email were dealt with. There were so many nice touches, such as the hand-written postcard from the staff welcoming us, the welcome drink on arrival, a jar of home-made apple jam on checking out. The location of the hotel is hard to beat, with the rooms and the restaurants overlooking the natural sea water pools and the sea. Our en-suite even had fantastic sea views. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice and was tasty, and it was great to eat breakfast on the outdoor terrace with those stunning sea views. We enjoyed great food in the restaurant, which specialised in fish and seafood, and meals were creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed a light lunch in the rooftop Japanese restaurant/bar. The hotel offers complementary tickets for the natural salt water pool, and also provides you with towels and dressing gowns, or you can take advantage of the hotel’s own sauna and jacuzzi. Thank you to all the staff for a great stay, and we hope to return sometime.

We stayed in this hotel at the start of February and the weather was very good. 24/25 degrees everyday! The customer service of the reception staff was very good, especially the lady who speaks English/Portuguese/ German. I think her name was Katrina but I can’t remember. The rooms are cleaned daily and teas/coffees refilled. You also get two capsules of nespresso every day. Very nice view of the sea and natural pools from the balcony. Free access to the solarium/jacuzzi & sauna when ever you like. If there was more things around to do it would be the perfect place to stay, unfortunately there isn’t much to do around. Also, travelling to the hotel is quite pricey from the airport. We forgot to book hotel transfers so it cost us €65 to get an Uber

We dropped down to Porto Moniz to check out the pools. I wasn't initially that keen on the locality of the hotel but we went along to have a look. Once inside we were hooked, what a fantastic view. The staff were excellent at arranging a great deal and a fabulously positioned room. Spotting it had been my birthday two days earlier there was also a surprise awaiting us on our balcony, the room bring readied as we enjoyed a welcome Madeira wine cocktail over looking the saltwater pools. Dining, both breakfast and dinner, was very good with a 10% off voucher for either lunch or dinner in the main or rooftop restaurant. We had alternative arrangements for the following night, which we delayed in order we might stay a second night. Need I say more?

My wife , brother and sister in law had a wonderful day and overnight stay in this lovely hotel as part of our road trip around Madeira. On our arrival , we had a complimentary drink and chilled bottle of wine ( at no extra charge) waiting for us in our rooms. The location next to the rock pools is stunning with the Atlantic waves rolling in ( it was April ). The buffet breakfast was well stocked and the evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. The hotel is a perfect base whether you want to chill or as a base to explore the area.

We had a sea view room on the first floor, with a balcony overlooking the pools and am amazing view of sun rise as we left the curtains and window open to listen to the waves. The hotel made you feel special by litle additional welcome gifts in the room - a bottle of chilled blue bubbly, chocolates on the bed, pringles and nespresso pods and coffee machine in addition to the usual kettle and sachets. Bathrobes and towels were provided to use for the pools and in the health suite. There was a gym available although a little basic. We also reserved dinner one evening during our two night stay and chose the set menu with drinks. The starters were amazing, and the rest of the meal was fine. I would recommend the menu without drinks as only one glass of wine was provided for the extra 7 euros. All in all we had a lovely stay here, the best hotel of our holiday by far.

We chose this hotel due to location which was superb. It was glorious to be so close to the sea and be able to watch the waves close up. The room was well positioned and set up nicely. Bed and pillows were comfortable with nicely pressed linen. The greeting of a Madeira wine in the room on arrival was appreciated and enjoyed. Local shops, restaurants etc were within easy reach as was the harbour which was a nice walk away. The natural pools area is literally part of the complex hence part of the room view with tickets for free access given by the hotel. Most staff were personable and profession but there did seem some issues that need managing with a little more insight into customer expectations and care which has been discussed with the hotel manager directly and hopefully resolve in progress. Breakfast was very good with a super selection and all very freshly made. The half board option leaves a little to be desired as overly restricted and small snack portions not an evening meal by any accounts. All in all the stay was enjoyed, simply by location and the glorious weather.
